Story

We adopted Snow from Apa in Brentwood and she is almost 1 1/2 years old. She is a very loving kitty who will nudges you to pet her when she’s comfortable and will let you know when she’s hungry in the morning. She’ll most likely look for you in the morning and when you come home. She loves people and very easy with being picked up and loves being pet. She does tends to bite lightly to let you know if you’re doing it too hard. We love Snow, but based on our schedule and family situation we aren’t able to continue giving her the love and attention that she wants. We’re looking for a loving family that will be able to spend time with her since she’s very low maintenance. She only prefer her dry food and dry treats so don’t worry about her eating anything else because she even refuses to eat cat’s wet food and any human food.

Skittles has been our family pet for 11 years, since she was a kitten. We love her AND admit that there have been challenges. Namely, she has a history of biting (only me, the mom of the family), and she is not happy with our new granddaughter. Because she has bitten me in the past, I am very nervous when my granddaughter comes to the house. Skittles typically steers clear, but when they are in close proximity she hisses at her. I cannot risk her biting the baby.I would love for Skittles to find a new home, rather than surrender her to a shelter. Someone without young children and maybe a bit of a “cat whisperer” could be a perfect match!I am happy to include any/all pet supplies I have for Skittles. Scratching post, litter box, feeding bowls, automatic feeder, toys, cat cave, etc.Her shots are not current as of 18 months or so. No health issues. I am willing to offer $200 to an adoptee to help cover vet fees.

We adopted Jonesy 2 years and 1 month ago from PetSmart. He is still only 3 years old. He is super handsome, super healthy and super active. All his shots are up to date. I'm very very attached to Jonesy. However, our baby was born in April and I have to take care of the baby and squeeze out time to play with him at the same time (or he would meow incessantly). At first I thought I could manage it, but after 6 months, with fragmented sleep and physical and mental exhaustion, I found myself unable to continue this any more. I admitted defeat... I literally do not have any energy left to play with him after putting the baby to bed... I cannot handle a crying baby and a crying cat at the same time...We love Jonesy and hate to rehome him, but we honestly feel like he would be happier in a household that isn't pre-occupied with a new baby. If you are interested in adopting Jonesy, we would give you all his toys and whatever food and litter we currently have. Please take good care of him!

Olivia is a 12 year old cat from a neighbor down the street who was moving and was going to take her to a shelter. She is a sweet cat once she gets used to a new environment. She was an only pet to an elderly couple. She is not good with other animals. She loves to be scratched and to snuggle. I think she would do well in an environment where she is the only pet. I already have a dog and cat.

Snickers is a gentle and VERY loving cat. We have loved her in our family for years but our toddler is getting too curious with her and can’t respect a cat’s boundaries unfortunately. Snickers is very patient until her stomach is touched but loves affection on her head and lots of lap time. She is a large lady but has come a long way in her weight loss journey from when we first received her. We are not sure how she does with other pets but she has gotten along great with our children of all ages. We hope to find her a more calm environment!

Fettuccine is a low-maintenance independent girl looking for a calm home where she can thrive. We adopted Fettuccine about two years ago, and she quickly bonded with our resident cat, Alfredo. She has lived alongside other felines before and generally acclimates to new cat roommates within a couple of weeks. However, about a year ago, we added a dog to our family, and life with a canine has simply proven too stressful for her. After giving her a full year to adjust, it's clear she deserves an environment where she feels completely relaxed and safe. She is content doing her own thing and won’t demand your constant attention. She does cuddle but on her own terms. She is easy to handle—she doesn’t mind being picked up, held, or having her nails trimmed. She's great with her litterbox. She can be vocal when dinner is delayed, but she does great with an automatic timed feeder. A dog-free, pet-free, or an easygoing cat-companion household would be ideal for her.
