Story
We adopted Romeo from the STL Humane Society in Maryland Heights. He is 14 years old and would be a great cat for a loving home. I believe since he is getting older that perhaps a senior woman that just wants to have a loving, cuddly cat to keep them company would be best. Visitors will always be greeted and escorted back to the door with a nice good bye rub or good petting. Romeo isn't like normal cats that hides away.. He does like visitors and kids.We are moving to California soon to where my kids are. We can't bring Romeo with us as I don't think he would like the 3 day drive there. Think it is best to find another good home to love him. We will give the new owner, our Iam's cat food bag (unopened), automatic cat litterbox, liners, litter, and cat treats to start you out right. We live in South St. Louis County, MO near Hwy 55 and Butler Hill Road. We want a good home for him.Terri

Story
Amelia (Mimi) is a wonderful 4 year old cat who we are only looking to rehome because our baby has developed eczema from cat dander. Our baby is 6 months old and we have tried for the last 4 months a number of different solutions as suggested by her allergist (HEPA air purifiers near litter boxes, regular grooming appointments, and multiple deep cleanings of the floor and rugs where our baby plays). Unfortunately, these haven’t worked as well as we’d like. We are heartbroken over this situation but we are doing what we think is best for our baby. She is very sweet and loves to lay on your lap after dinner for back scratches after she gets to know you. We believe she’d do best in a household with older children, and with someone who is home most of the day to give her attention. She loves a calmer environment and we believe the new baby has caused her some stress. She currently lives with another cat, but they are not bonded. We would really like her to get the attention she deserves.

Story
We adopted Brooklyn on October 1st, 2023, from the Humane Society. She was very shy in the enclosure, but once we went into a meeting room with her, she quickly got attached to my mom and was interested in the people next door to us. This was the first pet we ever owned, not even having had a dog in the past, because my mom and I were uncomfortable with them. She was easy to own for the time we had her. Brooklyn is sweet, affectionate, and curious. She'll follow you around and is very social and likes to cuddle. She can be smart when she wants to be. We're hoping she can be placed in a home that will give her lots of attention and play with her. She's gained weight recently because no one wants to play with her, and she's begun scratching furniture and walls due to low stimulation. The ideal home for her is one with someone who wants to play, so she never gets bored.

Story
Meet my beautiful boy Elio! Lovingly known as my "sun son." Named after the sun, I've raised him since he was a kitten in 2023, and he is my absolute pride and joy. He is a delightfully chunky, vocal companion who loves to communicate his feelings with plenty of meows. While he can be a little standoffish at first and might hiss or give a gentle, playful bite when he’s feeling sassy, he has a truly gentle heart and would never actually hurt anyone. He’s an independent spirit who simply likes things his way, and he is deeply loved. Heartbreakingly, I must rehome him due to the ongoing costs of his asthma medication and a recent behavioral habit of peeing on soft fabrics when he gets upset. I am looking for a patient, loving, and safe home with someone who can afford his medical care and is experienced enough to patiently manage his behavior quirks. Because he means the world to me, my greatest hope is to find an adopter who is willing to stay in touch and share occasional photo updates.
