Meet Cherokee - a beautiful black cat with a heart of gold! Cherokee is looking for a special forever home where she can be the star of the show. She is a unique kitty who needs a little extra love and attention, but trust us, she's worth it! Cherokee has a bit of a tough past and as a result, she needs to be the only pet in the household. She's looking for a family who will understand and respect her need for space and independence. She's a bit unsure of new people and places at first, but once she gets to know you, she loves to snuggle and give kisses. Cherokee is currently on anxiety medication to help her feel more comfortable and secure in her surroundings. Her new family will need to be experienced cat owners who are willing to continue her medication regimen and provide her with the loving care she deserves. Despite her past, Cherokee is a sweet and affectionate girl who just needs the right family to bring out her true personality. She loves to play with toys and enjoys spending time basking in the sunshine. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will love you unconditionally, Cherokee is the girl for you. She's ready to find her forever family and start her new life full of love and happiness. Apply to meet Cherokee today and see for yourself what a special girl she is!

Story
Top o the mornin' to ya! Meet Maeve. This Irish lass may just be the most playful kitty you have ever met. The best part of Maeve's day is chasing the string toy with her person. She is also quite content to entertain herself with most any toy followed by a well deserved nap. Prior to coming to Tenth Life, Maeve had very little socialization with people. She is a very sweet and gentle girl, but is extremely timid especially with new people and surroundings. Maeve has gained confidence and made so much progress in her foster home. She now enjoys getting pets and will make a very cute high pitched squeak when she wants them, and will purr and rub her face and body against her foster mom's hand. Maeve is not only beautiful but also has the most soft and silky fur! It will likely take Maeve some time to adjust to a new family and place, so she would do best in a quiet home with a very patient adopter. Playing with Maeve is the absolute best way to bond with her and get her to come out of her shell. Her silly and fun personality is sure to bring endless joy to an adopter. Maeve is not a fan of the resident cat in her foster home. She would probably do best as the only cat in the household, but she may do ok with a cat that will respect her personal space. Maeve has minor GI issues which are managed well with a prescription diet. Maeve would love to finally find her forever home. Because she will likely be timid during a first meeting, we're recommending that potential families meet her for the first time virtually to see her as her most normal self. Apply to meet Maeve today!

Story
Meet Famous Amos! This handsome boy is ready to find his forever home. Famous Amos was found abandoned in a storage container. A good samaritan found him and got him to safety. Since then, Famous Amos (affectionately called Boo by his foster mom) has flourished! He is now happy, friendly, and loving. He gets along well with other cats and has even been around dogs in his foster home with no issues. He would do very well in a multi-pet home and would love to have a kitty friend to play with! Famous Amos is playful and energetic and is a big fan of playtime. When playtime is over, he loves to find a cozy bed to curl up in and take a well-deserved cat nap. Famous Amos has also been diagnosed with Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). So far, he has not had any illness related to his FIV, but it will be important for his forever family to keep an eye on him. Tenth Life and our veterinary teams will be happy to answer any questions about this, and if you'd like to read more about FIV, you can check out this website: https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv Despite his rough start to life, Famous Amos has come so far and has learned he can trust. He would love to find a comfy home with a family who will love him forever. Apply to meet Famous Amos today!

Story
Hi, my name is Babs, and I'm a very sweet 2-year-old male tabby. As a kitten, I was rescued by Tenth Life (Awesome rescue by the way!). I came with deformed rear legs. They tried all they could to help fix them but were told I'd be better off without them. So now I don't have my rear legs, but that doesn't stop me from getting around and going where I want! I do however need help expressing my bladder. I'm not able to empty my bladder completely on my own. I don't currently use a litter box, but my foster mom is working with me to see if I can use one in the future. I get help expressing my bladder 1-2 times a day. While I may give some bites to signal foster mom I don't want her to squeeze anymore, I do feel better after it's done. I am able have a bowel movement on my own. I hope my special needs don't turn you away before you have a chance to meet me because I am very sweet and love pets, and snuggling. I get along with other cats and dogs. Some active big dogs can be too much, so I just go on about my business. I like to play with toys especially if you help me and play too. I'm not that into cardboard scratching but I do like carpet scratching posts/trees. I would love to meet you and show you how sweet I am. Maybe my furever home could be with you.

Story
Looking for love in all the wrong places? Nugget is a lazy oaf who loves long walks to the couch and slip-sliding on his slick fur down your lap like it's an Olympic sport. His favorite pastimes are watching birds, chasing toy mice, and kicking the bananas out of his catnip nanner. He might be out for death with his beloved kick toys but he's ever-so-kind with humans, gently tapping you when he wiggles and pounces. He's a little shy but once he knows you and gets used to a new space, he'll be your best-ever valentine. Nugget prefers a dog-free home and will do best with a playful younger kitten who will take their cues from him. You can't swipe right to meet him but you can apply today. xoxo

Story
Meet Papa Elf! He came to Tenth Life just before the holidays but is sure to give you Christmas cheer and joy the whole year round. Affectionately known as Papa, this sweet senior boy is healthy, happy, and ready to find his forever family. This tabby cutie is overall pretty perfect! Papa is very calm, quiet, laid back, and just an all around very good and well behaved boy! He has been known to chase a catnip mouse from time to time, but for the most part he is all about the relaxation and lounging next to his person. If you are looking for a companion to binge the latest Netflix series with, Papa would love to volunteer! He does not generally care for being picked up, held, or laying on laps, but you will never doubt his love and adoration. His eyes will light up every time you enter the room and he will always come to greet you. Papa is not very vocal, but he is not shy to speak up when he knows it is time for treats. Temptations are his absolute favorite! Soft food is yucky but please give him all the crunchies! He gets a liquid medicine once a day for his joints/arthritis, but it tastes like candy to him and he looks forward to it every morning! While Papa loves all the people he meets, so far he hasn't been the biggest fan of his fellow felines. It is possible he would do ok with a slow introduction, but he would probably do best as the only cat in the home. Papa would love nothing more than to sit quietly beside you, making biscuits and getting pets, for the remainder of his golden years. Could that person be you? Papa would love to meet you! PAPA ELF'S ADOPTION FEE IS SPONSORED!
