Story
Potato came to us when her owner passed away seven years ago. She is eight years old. She’s a very shy girl, but once she gets to know you, she is extremely affectionate. To the point where she will sleep around my head at night. She has lived with a six year old pitbull mix, and another cat her whole life with us. A few months ago, our dog decided he didn’t want to be around cats anymore and started to attack our cats. Although she gets along very well with other animals, she would do better in a house by herself. As she is shy, it takes a while to get to know her. She needs someone experienced with cats who will know how to bring her out of her shell andshow her personality. She’s an incredibly sweet girl. She is by far the sweetest cat I’ve ever had. She’s a quiet girl who needs alone time every now and then. She’s never tried to bite or scratch me. She’s pretty low-key and mellow. I have adored having her in my life, but I don’t want the dog to hurt her. She needs a loving home.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Minnie & Rosie — Two Best Friends, One Beautiful Bond Hi there! We’re Minnie and Rosie, two sweet, loving girls who have been best friends for years. We do everything together — nap, play, groom, and keep each other company. We’re looking for a calm, loving forever home where we can stay together and share our gentle hearts with you. About Me, Minnie: I’m the social butterfly of the pair — friendly, affectionate, and always ready to give headbutts and purrs. I love people and don’t mind being picked up or held. I’m very good for vet visits, too! I can be a little silly and spacey sometimes (my depth perception isn’t the best, but it makes me adorable). Every so often, I get a playful burst of energy and chase around my favorite puffball toys. I even know my name and come when called! I’m an indoor-only cat — I once slipped outside when a window was left open and just sat by the door waiting to come back in. I don’t have outdoor survival skills, but I do have the best cuddling skills. I get along well with other cats, dogs, and even respectful kids. I have a mild case of idiopathic seizures, which means I may have a few small seizures a year, but my vet says they’re so rare and mild that I don’t need medication. Otherwise, I’m healthy and happy! About Me, Rosie: I’m a gentle, shy girl who loves deeply once I feel safe. Minnie is my best friend and my source of courage — she helps me feel brave and confident in new situations. I love to play with toys (especially my favorite stick toy, which I’ll bring with me!), though I usually like to play when no one’s watching. I can be chatty at times, especially when you call me “Baby Rose” — that’s my favorite nickname. I might meow right back! I also have a few funny quirks: I love butter and even try to nibble lettuce sometimes. I’m shy with new people and slow to warm up, but once I trust you, I’ll be a loyal, affectionate companion. I must stay indoors only, because I get very scared outside. When I was younger, I accidentally got out twice and had to be trapped to come home — I’d much rather stay safe and cozy indoors! I have idiopathic cystitis, which can cause a few extra litter box trips or occasional blood in my urine. My vet has done full testing, and I’m doing really well on my prescription food and a small dose of gabapentin. A calm, low-stress home helps me feel my best. I get along nicely with cats (especially playful boy cats), gentle dogs, and older, quieter kids. Our Story: Minnie was surrendered in 2018 after her previous family faced eviction. She was loved by a young boy and came to her foster mom needing some TLC. Rosie was rescued as a kitten from a barn in Ovid, along with her brother and mom. She was very shy at first, but Minnie helped her blossom. Now, we’re a bonded pair — two hearts that found home in each other. We nap together, comfort each other, and share quiet moments of joy every day. Our Dream Home: We’re looking for a calm, loving indoor home with someone who understands gentle souls. We’d do best in a home with fewer animals and a relaxed environment. In return, we’ll fill your days with love, warmth, and quiet companionship. If you’ve been wishing for two affectionate, loyal cats who adore each other (and will adore you, too), we’re ready to bring double the love into your life. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi there! I’m Bruce, a handsome domestic shorthair tabby boy on the lookout for my forever family—and I have to say, I think I’m a pretty great catch if you’re looking for a confident, affectionate, and playful companion. I’ve been told I’m basically a professional shadow. I love being wherever my people are, whether that’s following you from room to room just to supervise your activities or curling up nearby while you relax. I’m also a big fan of cozy cuddle sessions and will happily accept pets, attention, and compliments (especially compliments). I’ve had quite a bit of life experience in my foster home, including time around kids, dogs, lots of visitors, and a very busy household. Honestly? I take it all in stride. Loud noises don’t really bother me, and I’m not the shy type—I’ve been known to confidently act like I run the place… because, well, I kind of do. When it comes to playtime, I am ALL in. Wand toys, little mice, jingle balls, laser pointers—I love them all. I do get pretty enthusiastic when I play, but that just means I’m having a great time and fully committed to the fun. I’m a well-mannered gentleman who is litter box trained and keeps my space tidy. I’ve also shown I do well with respectful dogs, other cats, and children who understand when I want attention and when I need a short break to recharge my royal energy. After everything I’ve learned in foster care, I’m ready for a home where I can be loved, included, and appreciated for the confident, affectionate guy I am. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will keep you company, make you laugh, and never let you feel alone in the house, I might just be your perfect match. Do I sound like your purr-fect guy? If so, apply today at BuffaloCares.org! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, I’m Bruno — your future favorite couch buddy! I’m an 8-year-old tabby gentleman with a big heart and an even bigger love for cozy naps, sunny windows, and lap cuddles. If you sit down, there’s a very good chance I’ll be right there beside you asking for pets and attention. My days are pretty simple and peaceful — just the way I like them. I enjoy lounging on my cat tree in the sunshine, keeping an eye on the world from my window seat, and perfecting the art of relaxation on the couch. I’ve always been an indoor-only guy, and that’s exactly where I’m happiest and safest. I’ve recently decided that sharing my home with other cats just isn’t really my style anymore. Because of some disagreements with the cats in my current home, I’d probably do best as your one-and-only feline king. I’m not sure how I’d feel about new cat friends, and dogs? Well… I met one once, and let’s just say I wasn’t impressed. I currently live in a quiet home with one adult, and I think a calm, peaceful environment would fit me perfectly. If you’re looking for a loyal, laid-back companion to share your couch, your sunny spots, and your heart with, I just might be your perfect match. Story
Bello was found abandoned outside so we don't know much about his past. He was pretty shut down when he came in but he's definitely coming around! Once he gets to know you, Bello is a sweet, attention seeking, chatty, and slightly demanding kitty. He would prefer a quiet home and would love to be an only kitty. He is not a fan of doggies either!
