Story
Pearl is an adult spayed female Tiger DSH. Poor Pearl was dumped alongside the road. She has a lot of hair loss most likely from fleas so she looks a little rough right now, but with a little TLC, she will once again be a beautiful kitty! Pearl is currently available at the Batavia Petco.  Here is the adoption process:   To adopt an animal you must complete an application and be approved. There is a $100 fee for any county animal which needs to be cash or a check - NO CREDIT CARDS. If the animal is not spayed or neutered, there is a $35 deposit which will be returned upon proof of surgery. All dogs must be licensed before leaving the Shelter. Please note that public offices that issue dog licenses are not open on Saturdays and Sundays. All cats must leave in a carrier.   Thank you for considering a homeless animal.May 31, 2026, 1:25 pm

Story
Rocky is a neutered male Cream and White DSH Kitten. Generally kitten season blossoms in June with approximately 60 in foster. By August and September, we peak with approximately 90 kittens. We have several dedicated volunteers who accept applications for kittens and try to match them up with foster kittens. We then set up meet and greets for fosters and families prior to the kittens being ready for adoption. All of our kittens are adopted after they are 3 months old AND they are spayed/neutered. All of the medical care and surgery expenses are covered by donations to Volunteers For Animals. Their adoption fee is $100 (cash or checks only). If you are interested in a kitten, we suggest you email us so that we can begin the process of matching for you. This is an involved process so please do not call the Shelter. Your email will be forwarded to our dedicated volunteers who will then send you details including an adoption application. You can Contact Us through the website to start the process. We are all volunteers and our dedicated kitten volunteers are diligent about responding to all inquiries. We appreciate your patience.   Here is the adoption process:   To adopt an animal you must complete an application and be approved. Story
Dawson (Pic #1) and Dolly (Pic #2) are two kittens currently in a foster home. When they first came to us, we thought they were going to be too wild to tame down for house kitties. They had to be trapped and then they were spayed and neutered. Both kittens are ear tipped. Lucky for these two cutie pies, with coaxing and love, they have come around and we think they will make wonderful, loving pets. They will be ready in a couple of weeks after they get their rabies vaccines. We are hoping that Dawson and Dolly can stay together. They have been through a lot and they really are very bonded. Email us at info@vol4animals.org if you are interested in meeting them.   Here is the adoption process:   To adopt an animal you must complete an application and be approved.
