Hi! My name is Mittens. About 10 years ago, I showed up on the doorstep of a house in Rensselaer. I am polydactyl (having an extra toe) on all 4 paws. My coloring makes me look like I am wearing one of the thumb-hole sweaters. My family members: 2 other female cats (an orange tabby and another tuxedo (my facial mirror-image)), both around 13 years old; 1 male American & English Cocker Spaniel mix, also about 13 years old; 2 female humans. I’ve had a wonderful time living here, but the dog & I don’t get along too well. He smells like dog & I don’t like it. We’ve had some changes in the house recently (1 human moved out & my orange tabby sister passed away). I’m having more issues with the dog because I don’t have the human’s undivided attention & I get mad at him for being here. My dream home is one where I am the only pet, or where there are plenty of humans to spend time with.

Need a loving home with either no cats or one cat for this easy going girl. We had 2 other cats and all was fine, then we took in a stray and Loni got stressed out with new arrival. Much growling and from time to time quick spats between the two of them. As a result she is over eating and needs some diet control. Loni was a rescue we’ve had about 4 yrs getting her at about 8 mos old. She has no problem with being picked up, carried or cradled. She has never bitten or scratched us. Overall she is a very loving cat who likes to curl up next to you at night and snore. If you have a red laser pointer she will chase it around all day. She’s smart too, because as soon as she sees the pointer in your hand she is already on the go. Her coat is a perfect tabby design and is very shiny and full. We hope someone out there would like to have this wonderful, plump lady to curl up in their lap and keep them company.
