Story
Meet Winter ❄️ Winter is a beautiful tabby kitten with a quiet strength and a big personality just beginning to shine through. She’s still learning the ropes of being an indoor kitty, and while she can be a little shy at first, she has been thriving in her foster home surrounded by other cats, dogs, and children. Winter came in with her guard up, but every day she grows more confident and curious. She absolutely loves to play and never misses a good meal! Once she feels comfortable, you’ll start to see her playful and slightly sassy side — we’re pretty sure she thinks she might be the boss lady of the house. 👑 Winter will do best with a patient family who understands that she likes to do things on her own terms. Give her the time and space she needs to settle in, and she’ll reward you by slowly letting you into her world. With a little patience and a lot of love, Winter will grow into a wonderful companion and loyal member of the family. 🐾 Apply to adopt at hsdavie.org/cats

Story
Meet Willie Two years old. Brave. And rocking a chunky strut that could melt even the toughest hearts. Willie came to HSDC from a colony and arrived with some pretty big challenges—he’s blind and faced serious health concerns, including neurological symptoms. But thanks to the incredible care at HSDC, the support of the community, and a whole lot of love, Willie is getting the help he needs and showing everyone just how resilient he is. Willie is a special guy, and he’s looking for a special kind of home—one filled with patience, understanding, and a big heart. He’s recently started insulin to help manage diabetes, and while he’s on a weight-loss journey, he hasn’t lost an ounce of confidence. His favorite things? Warm, cozy beds. Gentle brushing sessions. And deep, meaningful conversations—especially when they’re paired with chin scratches. Willie may not see the world the way other cats do, but he feels it deeply. He knows kindness. He knows comfort. And he knows love. If you think you could be the one to give Willie the safe, patient, forever home he deserves, please reach out to HSDC. Because Willie isn’t just looking for a home— he’s looking for his person. 💛 Apply to adopt at hsdavie.org/cats

Story
💜 Special Kitten Needs a Special Human 💜 This sweet little girl is looking for a very special person to give her the chance at the life she deserves. She’s playful, affectionate, and eats like a champ—but she has some unique medical needs that will require daily care and long-term commitment. Back story...Stella was found abandoned in a box at the edge of the woods at a business along with her two littermates and her mom. Luckily a kind Samaritan found them and alerted someone that could help. • Stella is a bobtail kitten but has no tail or nub at all. She may need lifelong medication, and occasional vet visits or enemas if she becomes constipated. Condition: • Suspected megacolon—a condition where her colon doesn’t contract properly to push stool out. • No anal tone, which means she doesn’t always know when she’s pooping. She does pee in the litter box, but poop may be found around the house. • She needs to have her bottom wiped clean throughout the day, and sometimes poop must be gently removed with a lubricated thermometer. • Currently passing hard stools, and at times there’s a risk that backed-up poop can press against her bladder, so it’s important to monitor that she is urinating regularly. Diet: • Not picky, but staying on a regular diet helps keep her bowels moving and her tummy happy Personality: • She’s just like any other kitten in spirit—playful, loving, and sweet. • She’s full of life, curiosity, and character. What She Needs: • Someone who can stick to her medication and hygiene routine • A watchful eye to ensure she’s pooping and peeing regularly • A heart big enough to care for a kitten who may never be “easy” • She is available as a long-term foster or foster-to-adopt, so we can see how she does over time. ⚠️ While we remain hopeful, this condition may be lifelong and progressive, and there is a possibility that she may need humane euthanasia in the future if she’s unable to poop or pee and is suffering. Our goal is always to prioritize quality of life. But right now—she is thriving with the right care. And we believe she deserves the chance to be loved just like any other kitten. If you have experience with special needs pets or feel called to help a truly deserving soul, she’s ready to meet you. 💕 Please complete an adoption application at hsdavie.org/cats or if you have any questions, please email admin@hsdavie.org
