Story
Patches is 6 years old, I got her from a friend in high school to be an outdoor cat, however here recently that has had to change due to her being diagnosed as a pre-diabetic earlier this year. She keeps to herself a lot but will let you know when she wants attention she has always been this way. Patches does have to be on a special food so that her blood sugar doesn't spike back up. She is allowed to have treats but only a few per day. She is not on a prescription for insulin as long as her blood sugar is under control. I am looking for someone who has had experience with cats and knows when something is up and can take her to the vet when needed. Patches is very timid and shy but she will voice when its time to eat.

Story
Ace was at an abandoned home with no food or water for majority of his life. When I rescued him he weighed 2.5lbs at 16 weeks old and was supposed to be 5lbs by that age. I nurtured him back to an appropriate weight for his age and now Ace is 1 year and 3 months old weighing at 11 lbs. I am looking for him to go to a home that has other animals because he has been around dogs and other cats and does really well once he gets familiar to them he just doesn't do very well alone. Ace is very spunky and sweet, he will rub his face against yours and sometimes gives kisses. He loves to look out the window and watch the birds and squirrels.

Story
Razzy Tazzy is a little guy starting his new indoor life. He was found as a stray and was surrendered to a local animal shelter. Razzy Tazzy was very scared at the shelter and hid in his hiding box for days. Luckily the shelter staff gave him time to show he was very sweet, just scared and timid. We are hoping a family would like a little Razzy Tazzy in their life and give him the time to show his sweet side and settle into his new environment. If you would like to meet him, please complete an adoption application at hsdavie.org/cats

Story
Meet Layla This beautiful 4-year-old tabby and white girl with stunning green eyes is looking for a second chance at forever. Layla was adopted a few years ago, but sadly found herself back in the local shelter after her family had to surrender her. Understandably, Layla is a bit reserved at first, but beneath that quiet exterior is a gentle soul who just wants to feel safe and loved again. She’s all about the simple pleasures—mealtime, cozy naps, and the occasional window view. With her thick, plush coat, Layla will need regular brushing (which she enjoys once she’s comfortable!). A calm home where she can settle in at her own pace would be the perfect fit. If you’re looking for a serene and loyal companion, Layla is ready to share her quiet love with you. Apply to adopt at hsdavie.org/cats.

Story
Meet these two sweet sisters! These beautiful girls were born outside to a feral mom, but a kind family took them in, loved them, and helped them blossom into affectionate, gentle kittens. They both have stunning coats, gorgeous eyes, and the sweetest personalities. A little shy at first, they warm up quickly once they feel safe — and then it’s all purrs and playtime! They’re now ready to find their forever home where they can continue to thrive and be loved. Apply to adopt at hsdavie.org/cats

Story
Meet Minnie! Minnie is a 6-year-old orange short-haired beauty with a heart full of love. At first, she can be a little shy—when she arrived at her foster home, she tucked herself away under a cabinet. But within a day, she realized she was safe and decided to join the family. Since then, she’s been a total sweetheart who just wants to cuddle and soak up affection. Minnie gets along with some cats but prefers to choose her friends, so she’d do well as an only cat or with laid-back feline companions. She has perfect litter box habits, is spayed, and is completely ready to move into her forever home. She loves her daily treat of canned food and has her own little “apartment” where she naps until her foster mom comes in—then she happily emerges for pets and love. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who will make herself at home in your heart, Minnie is your girl! Apply to adopt at hsdavie.org/cats
