Story
Patches is 6 years old, I got her from a friend in high school to be an outdoor cat, however here recently that has had to change due to her being diagnosed as a pre-diabetic earlier this year. She keeps to herself a lot but will let you know when she wants attention she has always been this way. Patches does have to be on a lower carb food. She is allowed to have treats but only a few per day. She is not on a prescription for insulin as long as her blood sugar is under control. I am looking for someone who has had experience with cats and knows when something is up and can take her to the vet when needed. Patches is very timid and shy but she will voice when it’s time to eat.

Story
Ace was at an abandoned home with no food or water for majority of his life. When I rescued him he weighed 2.5lbs at 16 weeks old and was supposed to be 5lbs by that age. I nurtured him back to an appropriate weight for his age and now Ace is 1 year and 3 months old weighing at 11 lbs. I am looking for him to go to a home that has other animals because he has been around dogs and other cats and does really well once he gets familiar to them he just does not do very well alone. Ace is very spunky and sweet, he will rub his face against yours and sometimes gives kisses. He loves to look out the window and watch the birds and squirrels.

Story
Minnie is a 6-year-old orange short-haired beauty who may have started out a little shy, but once she realized she was safe and loved, she completely blossomed into a total cuddle bug. And bonus fun fact — she’s an orange female, which makes her extra special! She adores affection, eagerly looks forward to her daily canned food treat, and happily comes out for pets and snuggles when her foster mom is around. After having a dental and some extractions, has truly become a brand-new, happy cat now that she’s feeling so much better. 🦷✨ Minnie gets along well with other cats, has perfect litter box manners, is spayed, and is fully ready for her forever home. She’s a gentle, loving soul who would thrive in a calm home where she can continue to enjoy all the comforts she deserves. Looking for a sweet, affectionate companion to share your life with? Minnie is your girl. 🧡🐾 Apply to adopt: hsdavie.org/cats

Story
Latte is an extremely sweet and affectionate calico with bright yellow eyes. She was found as a stray living behind a pet store, and she was so scared that she wouldn’t approach anyone — but she was so hungry that she walked right into a humane trap within minutes of it being set out. Once she was taken into a home and given time to warm up, her true personality blossomed and it became clear that she was at one time someone’s pet. Latte loves playing with toys, especially plushies and toys that chirp! Her favorite pastime, however, is curling up on a warm lap and getting pets. She will affectionally bump her head against your hand to ask for attention, and if that doesn’t work, she’ll put her paws on your chest and rub her head under your chin! She is an extremely sweet and loving cat, and she isn’t shy about demanding attention! Apply to adopt at hsdavie.org/cats

Story
Lily is a beautiful girl who looks Siamese but has just a touch of tabby mixed in—giving her that extra special, soft “mellow girl” vibe. She has a calm, peaceful presence and absolutely loves stretching out for long naps in the sunshine. A warm sunbeam is her happy place. ☀️ Her favorite toy? A simple crumpled-up piece of paper! Proof that the best things in life don’t have to be fancy. She’ll happily bat it around and entertain herself with the sweetest little bursts of playfulness. Lily isn’t quite a lap cat yet—but she’s very close. She loves resting right beside you, soaking up your company and feeling safe. We’re pretty sure that full lap privileges are coming soon once she knows she’s truly home. 💕 She’s comfortable with small dogs and has limited experience with other cats, but she has shown curiosity and playfulness—she even played paws under the door with a resident kitty! With slow, proper introductions, she may do well with another friendly cat. Lily has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Cats with FIV can live long, happy, normal lives with routine vet care and a loving indoor home. FIV is most commonly spread through deep bite wounds, so many FIV+ cats successfully live with other non-aggressive cats. We’re happy to answer any questions and help you understand what this means for Lily. If you’re looking for a gentle, mellow companion who enjoys quiet moments, sunshine naps, and being near her people, Lily may be your perfect match. 🐾 Apply to adopt at hsdavie.org/cats
