Story
Dumpling was abandoned as a kitten at a colony who rejected him, and learned to survive nearby on the kindness of strangers. He's trying his hardest to fit in and be part of a family. He likes people and he likes attention, but gets overstimulated easily. He needs lots of love and patience as he learns how to be a cat who's in a safe place. Dumpling likes to sit near us or lay near us, but doesn't come in for cuddles yet. He will, however, absolutely try to steal your hamburger. And fries. He just needs somebody patient and willing to work with him to gain his trust. He's still territorial over food, but is happy to form tentative friendships with a few of the other cats (under supervisionfor now). He likes his cardboard scratching board and feathery toys, and is very food motivated He's a sweetheart and meows very loudly whenever he hears you coming near, telling you all about his day while you were gone. He's still getting used to being an inside cat and really wants a buddy. DOB: 12/01/2023 His adoption feeincludes neuter surgery, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations, testing for FIV & FeLV, and any medications needed while in his foster home such as flea & tick prevention, dewormer, antibiotics, etc.If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website, triadcat.org, and fill out an application. Our screener will reach out with next steps >>https://www.triadcat.org/application.html ##2405708##

Story
Meet Tennessee, a beautiful and devoted mama who has done an amazing job raising her kittens. Now that her babies are growing up, it’s finally her turn to find a loving home of her own. Tennessee is gentle, affectionate, and enjoys relaxing near her people after a busy day. She has a calm, sweet nature and would love a home where she can be cared for and spoiled the way she deserves.Be the first to meet Tennessee by completing the adoption application or visiting her during our weekly adoption event at PetSmart, Bleachery Blvd, from 12-4pm on Saturday.  All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventatives.  All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC. March 22, 2026, 2:44 am
