Meet Gizmo: The Ultimate Cuddly Companion Location: Fairview, NC Age: 13+ Years Young Status: Up-to-date on all vaccinations & fully litter-trained The Best of Senior Cat Life. If you are looking for a "vibe-manager" for your home, Gizmo is your guy. At 13, he has moved past the kitten chaos and perfected the art of being a sweet, loving, and incredibly cuddly companion. He is a true gentleman who respects your home—he is fully litter-box trained and has never met a curtain or carpet he wanted to shred. He’s much more interested in finding a warm lap or a sunny spot for a nap. Why Gizmo Needs a New Home. This is a heartbreaking decision for our family. We are putting our home on the market in March and will be traveling full-time for at least a year before we settle down again. We know that a year of constant transit and temporary housing would be unfair and stressful for a distinguished senior like Gizmo. We love him enough to know he deserves a stable, quiet forever home

Story
Remember the little gray kitten (found as a stray by Courtney aka the kitten lady on a busy road just weighing hardly a pound) Well he is growing and it is time to start looking for his forever home. Nimbostratus aka Nimbo (like the could) is a handsome little guy that is now estimated to be 10 weeks old and your typical playful kitten - he is fostered with other cats and dogs and gets along with everything - just might get on their nerves a little because he has your typical kitten energy - which is play mode almost 24/7 with a couple of cat naps in between. Nimbo has started his vaccines and goes for another booster next week - he has been tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV and is negative. He is microchipped and has been dewormed. The rescue continues to pay for the remaining kitten vaccines and his Rabies vaccine when he is old enough and also cover his neuter. He is currently 3 pounds and just a little bundle of love. Are you looking for a new kitten to add laughter and smiles to your face daily - well Nimbo is your boy for sure. Interested in adopting Nimbo - head on over to our website www.boxerbuttsandothermutts.org and fill out our application - same thing applies to kittens - we do vet reference checks and a home visit - Nimbo's adoption fee is $75.00 Lets find this little guy the perfect forever home

Story
Freya is a stunning long-haired beauty with a gentle soul and a quiet way about her. She can be a bit shy at first, especially in new environments, but beneath that reserved exterior is a deeply loving cat just waiting for the right person to notice her. Freya would do best in a calm, low-traffic home where she can settle in at her own pace. She’s not one to rush into things — she prefers slow introductions, soft voices, and people who understand that trust is something earned. Give her the patience she needs, and she’ll reward you with sweet affection, quiet companionship, and a bond that feels truly special. She’s the kind of cat who will choose you once she feels safe — curling up nearby, offering gentle head bumps, and sharing moments that feel all the more meaningful because they were hard-won. If you’re looking for a loyal companion and have room in your heart (and home) for a cat who just needs a little time to bloom, Freya may be your perfect match.

Story
Little Gomez came to us as a one pound kitten that had a condition known as Pectus Excavatum - the shelter contacted us because most of the time they are euthanized but thankfully they reached out to us as we knew we could fix this little guy. Because he only weighed a pound - we had to wait to surgically correct his condition but honestly you would have never known there was anything wrong with him - he was your typical happy and playful kitten. Once he was a little older and hit the 3 pound mark he was able to have the procedure to correct his condition at a specialist. He came through it great and has been medically cleared and should have no further issues and he is your normal - happy go lucky kitten that just wants to play and sometimes try and steal some human food. He is still on the small side but he is a totally amazing little guy that is hoping to find a family to call his own. He is fostered with 2 other cats and would love to have a companion to play with. He has not been around dogs but with proper introductions, he would adjust and be fine as long as the dog has been around cats before. Gomez has been combo tested (negative) - he is current on vaccines, dewormed, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $75.00. If you are interested in adopting Gomez, please go to our website www.boxerbuttsandothermutts.org and fill out one of our adoption applications. We do require vet references and a home visit and all of our cats must be indoor cats only. Gomez is going to be a great addition to some very lucky family.
