Story
Retired from her former life of adventuring, Poppyseed is now seeking a companion who can appreciate a slow, laid-back lifestyle inside. A low-cost pain medication has been working wonderfully for her, so her new family will need to immediately establish care with a veterinarian so she can fully enjoy her retirement years. Another low-energy animal in the home could also help provide Poppyseed a boost of confidence for her transition, but it is not required.

Story
Gwynevere is beautiful, regal, and shy, but she is also incredibly sweet after taking time to get to know her. It may not be obvious at first due to her reserved nature, but Gwyn loves playtime with toys! Playing with her is the way to her heart; Gwyn warms up to new people when they play with her. Gwyn would thrive as an indoor cat with a cozy space that belongs to a loving, gentle person, a warm patch of sunshine, and toys to play with. Since she is still working on building her confidence, Gwyn would also do best with another feline to help her navigate the rest of her new home. Fill out an application at sarges.org to schedule a time to come see Gwyn!

Story
Barn Cat ProgramWorking cats, such as barn cats, are not typically suited to being indoor pets. These independent felines prefer to roam and hunt in outdoor environments working for you, hunting mice and other pests. To be eligible to adopt a working cat you must be able to provide a period of confinement for at least two weeks, and potentially longer, to help them acclimate to their new surroundings. During this time, they can adjust to the idea that your property is their new home base where they can work to keep pests at bay. You must provide them with safe shelter that protects them from harsh weather conditions and potential predators. They should be fed once daily and have constant access to fresh water to keep them healthy and happy. These diligent workers will earn their keep by naturally controlling pests on your property, making them valuable allies in maintaining a pest-free environment.
