Brody is SO sweet! He found my deck after I was attempting to trap a feral cat with food. He talked to me, rubbed my leg and let me pet him while he was eating. I realized this was a kitty who had lived with someone and either was dumped or got lost. So I decided to trap him and get him fixed and get all his shots. The vet kept him for a week to make sure he was healed and well enough to come back to me. I had to give him eye drops and he was GREAT letting me do that! Very rare, indeed! The vet thinks he's about 3 years old. I consider him "special needs" because of his FIV+ status. I would keep him, but he is FIV+ and my cat isn't. They can't be together for fear of bodily fluids being exchanged which would infect my cat. If he was in an only-cat situation he would be so happy and loving! He would be your therapy pet giving tons of rubs and purrs. Would also probably be good with other FIV+ cats; no issue when he sees my kitty through the gate.

Very sweet, mostly Grey, white-footed male tabby, about 5 years old. Has had one round of rabies vaccine and due for another. I can provide any additional shots or screening, as needed. My heart is broken. Would like an indoor home for him.

Mochi is a male young cat that was found wounded outside my backyard and we took him in and took to the vet to get treated. He was only 6 weeks old in June when found. He is a VERY affectionate and loving cat. Loves to cuddle with people and is very friendly, gets along with anyone. Unfortunately I don’t have time for him because I have a busy work schedule and he stays home alone most of the time. With him being very cuddly and affectionate he needs a family that will give him the time and cuddles he needs . Mochi also gets along with kids .

Therefore, there are no guarantees to their health or behavior and items such as breed, and age is an estimate. If you are interested in adopting this animal, please feel free to call our office at 919-496-3032 or email us at animalshelter@franklincountync.gov in the case that we may have additional information.Adoptions and Rescues begin at 12pm. Current shelter hours are Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday 12pm-4pm and on Wednesday 2pm-6pm. This animal will be available for adoption or rescue on the date posted above. Adoptions and rescues are first come first serve.The fee to adopt a cat/kitten is $60 (cash or check). A voucher will be provided at the time of adoption if the cat/kitten being adopted has not already been spayed/neutered.
