Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Me Stripe aka Bobby socks is quite the personality. He loves weaving around my legs, watching me brush my teeth and snuggling in bed with me. I think he believes humans are not worthy of stroking his silky black fur, he prefers to be in charge of giving the affection. He was born on the 5th of July with 6 other siblings in rescue. Only he and Stripe and Indepenance are still searching for their purever family. He is fully vetted and microchipped. To inquire more about him please email us at stfureverfreedomar@gmail.comVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 24, 2026, 11:11 am

Story
Toasted Marshmallow is a 5-year-old calico who's extremely shy and needs a patient adopter who's comfortable with slow, gentle introductions. Her past has made her cautious, but consistent reassurance and a quiet space will help her feel secure. She's food-motivated - especially when it comes to wet food - and she isn't afraid to be vocal-she will sing when she want your attention! With time and understanding, Toasted Marshmallow can begin to build trust at her own pace. She is up to date on vaccinations, flea prevention, is microchipped, and will be spayed prior to going home. This cat should be kept indoors at all times for their safety. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Primary Color: Calico Weight: 8.5 Age: 5yrs 3mths 3wks

Story
This pet was brought in as a stray and will NOT be available for adoption through our program. All stray animals brought in are posted on the gallery to hopefully be reunited with their families. Each pet is evaluated upon arrival, and throughout their stay, at the Animal Center and we do our best to place the animal in the setting most appropriate for them. Sometimes, they may be better served through one of our Transfer Partners due to the intervention needed, ongoing care required or a quieter setting for that individual. We want our animals to put their best paw forward. If you are a 501c3 rescue and are interested in partnering with WCAC to help this pet, and others, you can find more information on how to help at: https://www.wakegov.com/departments-government/animal-services/community-partners/transfer-program If this is your pet, please contact us immediately at AnimalCenter@wake.gov Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White

Story
Hi, I'm Gemma! I'm a petite 2-year-old weighing just over 5 pounds. I can be a little shy when I first meet new people, but once I feel safe, I'm a very sweet and gentle girl.I'm not a big fan of being picked up and prefer to keep all four paws on the ground. I feel most comfortable when you sit quietly and let me come to you. I love gentle pets, especially chin scratches and behind-the-ear rubs, and when I'm really content, my purr can get surprisingly loud for such a tiny cat. I don't scratch or bite, just the occasional soft love nibble when I'm enjoying attention.I spend a lot of my day napping, and between naps I love sitting at the window watching the birds at the feeder outside. I could and do spend hours observing them. In the evenings, I get the zoomies and enjoy chasing my bell ball. I'm happy playing on my own, but once I'm comfortable, I also enjoy playing together.I would do best in a quiet home without young children and with someone patient who understands that shy cats just need a little time to build trust. Once I do, I'll be a loyal and loving companion! Primary Color: Tabby- Grey Secondary Color: White Weight: 6 Age: 2yrs 2mths 0wks

Story
Hi friends!I'm a super sweet girl who would thrive as a spoiled only child. I can be a little shy at first, but once you earn my trust, I turn into a total love bug who enjoys being a lap cat. I do sometimes give gentle love bites when I'm getting those really good scratchies, so I'd be best in a home without small children. I've been around cats and dogs of all sizes. I'll let dogs know my boundaries with a little hiss if they get too close, but I do just fine otherwise. With other cats, it really depends - sometimes I'm happy to coexist, and other times my inner queen makes an appearance, and I prefer to rule solo. I'm fully litter box trained, up to date on all my vet care, and ready to find a calm home where I can truly shine. Primary Color: Tabico Weight: 9.5 Age: 2yrs 5mths 1wks
