Story

Misty was rescued from a crawlspace a few weeks ago, along with her mama and littermates, in a neighborhood with far too many strays. She started out wary of people, but she's come a long way — these days she leans into pets and has decided humans are pretty okay after all. Misty is a sweet, mellow girl, a little shy at first but so worth the wait. Her favorite spot in the world is her cozy hammock, but don't let the chill fool you — she loves treats, chasing toys, and romping with her littermates (one of whom is also looking for a home, if you'd like a pair!). She has a mild respiratory quirk you can occasionally hear in her breathing, but it hasn't caused her any health issues and doesn't slow her down. She'll be vaccinated and spayed at 12 weeks, and we're happy to share everything we know. Misty would thrive in a calm, patient home that lets her warm up at her own pace — and once she does, you'll have a devoted little companion.

Story

Luna is a 6-year-old spayed female black cat, found on the side of the road as a kitten, adopted at about 6 weeks old from the Humane Society by my sister, along with another kitten, Magnus, of the same age. Luna has been living with Magnus ever since, first with my sister until she passed away, and then with me. She bonded with Magnus as a kitten, and my sister was told not to separate them, so ideally, I prefer to keep them together in their next home, unless the right circumstances present themselves. Although my husband is allergic to the cats, he tried to make it work for some time, but it’s time to rehome them. Luna likes to play fetch with round hair ties, and will actually bring them back after being thrown. She likes to sleep in your lap, and on or next to you in bed and loves being pet and looking out the window at nature. She is shy around new people and will take some time to adjust to new surroundings.

Magnus is a 6-year-old spayed female cat with multi brown markings and long fur brought to the Humane Society as a kitten. She was adopted at about 6 weeks old from the Humane society by my sister, along with another kitten, Luna, of the same age. Magnus has been living with Luna ever since, first with my sister until she passed away, and then with me. She bonded with Luna as a kitten, and my sister was told not to separate them, so ideally, I prefer to keep them together in their next home, unless the right circumstances present themselves. Although my husband is allergic to the cats, he tried to make it work for some time, but it’s time to rehome them. Magnus likes to lounge on her back with all four paws in the air, or chase after a laser light. She will snuggle next to you on the couch and loves being pet or looking out the window at nature. She is less shy around new people than Luna but still may take time to adjust to new surroundings.

Perry has been with our family for 5 years, and was adopten as a kitten, with his sister, Karen. They are both indoor/outdoor cats, and are accustomed to children, although Perry prefers a quieter household. He is neutered. He has an independent personality, and is not at all a high-maintenence cat. He tolerates petting, and enjoys a good romp with a toy or laser pointer.

Doc is a 13-year-old cat I adopted as a kitten from an animal shelter. He has been with me through a few different states, multiple different houses and many different foster children. He's super sweet. He's a lab cat. He purrs as soon as you look at him and will sleep, cuddled all over you if you let him. Our family recently moved into a pretty large house, and we're excited to recertify as foster parents. But Doc is having a hard time with the size of the house and is having a lot of accidents in random places. He seems to have a hard time finding the litter box, even though we try to make it more accessible. We’ve put multiple litter boxes in places where it's a little more obvious, but it makes it less safe for kids and not quite as hygienically sound. He needs a loving, quiet house that’s a bit cozier.

Story

Poki and I found each other over the holidays: she would hide under my car near my front door, waiting for me to put food out. Poki adapted quickly to indoor life. She enjoys playing with her toys and watching birds out the window. However, my efforts to integrate Poki with my other two cats have been unsuccessful. Even though she is smaller, younger and outnumbered, she is the aggressor. I hoped things would change after she was spayed, and after she was on a daily regimen of Reconcile. I have also consulted a vet behaviorist, and after a recent incident, we both concluded that Poki needs a new home.In her new home, Poki will need to be the only cat. She is so sweet and affectionate, except when redirecting aggression intended for other cats. Poki bonded to me very quickly, and I am hopeful that she will form a new bond, just as strong, with her new person.
