Story
Meet Fender a gorgeous shorthaired tabby with striking green eyes and irresistibly soft fur that knows how to use her charm! This friendly, chatty girl always has something to say and will happily greet anyone who enters the cat room with a cheerful meow or two (or three)! When she's not chatting, Fender can usually be found snoozing in one of her favorite cozy spots. Her favorite being the window hammock, where she can nap in comfort while keeping an eye on the world outside. She's also incredibly affectionate and thrives on human attention, soaking up pets and cuddles until she's contently dozing in your lap. Fender currently shares her space with other cats, but she does like to be the center of attention and can get a bit jealous if others steal the spotlight. She would do best with adopters who enjoy giving lots of love and don't mind a cat who wants to be their number one. If you are looking for a sweet, talkative companion who loves naps, cuddles and being adored, Fender may be the perfect match for you!

Story
This poor guy was abandoned by his family. They moved and just put him out on the street to fend for himself. The homeless people in the area began abusing him. A good Samaritan worried for his safety contacted us. He has been vetted and this sweet guy just can't catch a break. He is under 2 years old and is neutered, but is positive for FIV. (equivalent to HIV in humans). He can go on to live many years and lead a normal life with good nutrition and a low stress environment. Due to the virus it is recommended that he be in a home with no other cats, unless they too are infected. He is such a sweet boy. If you have a soft spot in your heart for needy and forgotten felines, please think about giving this gentle guy a loving home.

Story
Callie Sassafras used to be named Sassy, but since she is anything but sassy, we decided she needed a new name. She is the sweetest girl you would ever want to meet. Her mom was dumped out in the country and gave birth to Callie Sassafras and her siblings somewhere in the woods. We slowly were able to gather up everyone in the family and get them in to the vet. Callie Sassafras was the last kitten of the group to finally trust us and decide she wanted a better life. Once she was in our care, Callie Sassafras became the loveliest girl ever. She loves to be petted and rolls over for belly rubs and will sit next to you looking for love. She loves her cat tree and likes to hang out there watching the birds out the window. Callie Sassafras is a gorgeous calico with a tiny tip of white on the very end of her tail. She has soft fur like a bunny and lovely coloring. Callie Sassafras is good with other cats and is young enough that she could easily be introduced to a dog. She would be best with older, cat savvy children. Callie Sassafras is about 9 months old. She has been spayed, vaccinated, treated with flea preventative, dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for feline leukemia/FIV. Story
My name is Vance. I was roaming a Hilliard neighborhood in late Fall. It's no fun being abandoned, but I would show up at this one house and find dinner waiting for me. In January just before it got really cold and snowy, they took me inside and gave me my own room. I slept for 3 days. I am a dark brown/black tabby, male, est 1-1/2 to 2 years old. I went to the vet and have been neutered and vaccinated. There are plenty of cats in this home already, so I would like a place of my own with someone who is patient and kind and will help me adjust to new surroundings. I'm doing a better job of trusting people than I used to and I welcome her when she opens the door. I don't think I'm ready for children and I don't know what to expect with dogs. If you have a safe, warm and cozy barn and give me yummy food, water and TLC, that would be ok too. Story
Shelly was rescued from a local senior center where we have been doing a trapping project to spay the final female cats. Shelly was only a baby when she was found with several other kittens.  Shelly was a bit more shy than the other kittens, but has really warmed up and is a super snuggler (as you can see from the photos where she is in her foster mom's lap). She is a little unsure of new people, so she will need time to adjust and feel safe before she shows her true snuggly personality. We would recommend keeping her in her own area at first to let her acclimate, but giving her lots of cuddles so she will quickly trust her new family and show what a sweet, funny girl she is. Shelly is about 7 months old and truly deserves her own family.  Shelly is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, treated preventatively for fleas/ticks, and dewormed.  Shelly did initially test positive for the feline leukemia virus (FeLV). It appeared that she was fighting off the virus, but a recent re-check leads us to believe she is going to remain positive for the virus. FeLV is a viral infection that affects the immune system, making it harder for a cat’s body to fight off infections. While it’s not curable, it is manageable with good veterinary care, a healthy diet, and a stress-free indoor lifestyle. Cats with FeLV need routine wellness checks, prompt treatment for any illness, and regular preventative care like vaccines and parasite control. FeLV is spread between cats through close contact (like grooming or sharing food bowls), so Shelly must either be an only cat or live with other FeLV-positive companions. It’s important to know that FeLV affects cats differently—some live only a few years, while others remain healthy for much longer. Right now, Shelly is in excellent health, full of playful kitten energy, and showing no signs of illness. What she needs most is a loving home where she can enjoy life to the fullest, surrounded by people who adore her as much as she’ll adore them.  To learn more about this condition visit: https://resources.bestfriends.org/article/feline-leukemia-felv-faqs She likes other cats (must be FeLV positive), could be easily introduced to a cat loving dog, and would be best with older children who are knowledgeable and respectful of slightly shyer kitties.  If you are interested in learning more about Shelly, please email us at bandocats@gmail.com to request an application or ask questions. January 7, 2026, 10:59 am
