Story
Bean is a two year old kitty. She always looks serious and a little grumpy but is very sweet and cuddly. LOVES to eat!! She is also playful. Her favorite toy is a laser pointer. She will chase it until she is out of breath. She has been good with my senior dog. Bean is a special girl. We are hoping to find a home for Bean where she will be loved and have all the attention she deserves. Rehoming a pet is very difficult but knowing she will be loved and cared for will make things a tiny bit easier for us.

Story
Oreo and Truffle (littermates that I call the twins) lived in Florida with a medium sized dog for four years. Their owners (friends of mine) were moving and were not able to take the cats with them. I already had cats and took the twins in (last August) when their owners were not able to find a suitable home (indoor only to good owners). A couple of months ago the twins decided that they did not like my rescue Siamese and have systematically cornered my Siamese to live in just a room and under a chair in my room. We went to the vet and asked what we could do to help them all get along. We were given calming medicine for the twins and that has helped a little, but not solved the problem. So I unfortunately need to find them a new home. These two are great cats. Friendly, personable, affectionate and talkative, but not to talkative. They love to be talked to and petted. You can see from the pics that they like to hang on the couch with us. Truffle loves to be held.

Story
Gandalf needs a very loving home. We rescued him off of the street after another person threw him and his siblings out of their car, luckily we were behind them. He is about 5 months old, loves dogs, likes to play with other cats, and very energetic but we have older animals in the home. He is neutered and has his first rounds of shots, and treated with frontline. Only will go to a loving and caring home.

Story
Fiona was adopted by my brother from the APL when she was 3 months old. She is now 10, and a few months ago my brother had to go into long-term care. He can no longer care for Fiona and I cannot find anyone who can take her. Fiona is a sweetheart, gentle and loving, healthy, and playful. She appears much younger than her age. She's currently in a foster home, and she needs to find a forever home now. Fiona is very shy at first, but after adjusting to the foster home, she came out of her shell and loves sitting on a lap, snuggling and purring. A patient adopter in a quiet home would be ideal, and Fiona will make a wonderful companion. Fiona's foster mom sometimes has other foster cats/kittens in the next room, and Fiona seems happy when she hears other cats around, so it is possible she would get along with another gentle cat. Fiona uses the litter box with no problems. She has no behavior issues, health issues, or special needs. Please consider this beautiful sweetheart.

Story
Alex has been in a foster home since January 2025 - he needs a forever home NOW! Alex is a very sweet boy that has overcome a lot in his lifetime. When he was found in the streets in the bitter cold, he was extremely thin and unwell, and the tips of his ears and the pads of his feet had frostbite. After being in a loving foster home for a very long period of time, he is now the handsome boy you see! The skin on the pads of his feet have peeled, revealing very soft toe beans, and the tips of his ears have fallen off. He now has a thick, bunny-soft coat and very good body weight. He is quite laidback at times and would be a good cuddle buddy. But when he sees a toy, he gets his spunk on and is off and running (he especially loves playing with a laser). Alex now needs a forever home where he can feel safe and loved – is that with you? PLEASE NOTE: Alex is presently in a foster home, so if you are interested in adopting him, please send a message to patessel56@gmail.com . Please be sure to include your telephone number. A time will then be arranged for a meet and greet at the shelter.
