Story
Hi… I’m Poseidon. Life has been a little confusing lately. I was found as a stray, so not much is known about where I came from or what I’ve been through before arriving at the shelter. Right now, I’m still trying to figure everything out. The shelter is a big, loud, scary place for a shy guy like me, and I’ve been feeling pretty overwhelmed by all the new sounds, smells, and people. Because of that, I may seem quiet or reserved at first. I’m the kind of cat who needs a little patience, understanding, and lots of TLC to help me feel safe again. But underneath my nervous shell is a sweet soul who just wants a calm home where I can finally relax and learn what it feels like to truly belong. I’m looking for a forever family who will give me the time I need to come out of my shell at my own pace. A cozy spot to hide, gentle voices, and kind hands would mean the world to me. Once I realize I’m safe, I know I’ll start to blossom into the cat I’m meant to be. More than anything, I’m hoping to leave the shelter soon and find a loving home where I can feel secure, cared for, and loved forever. Could you be the one to give me my fresh start?

Story
Hi, I`m Frankie! I`m the kind of girl who likes being near my people, but I also appreciate having my personal space respected. I can be a little skittish when someone approaches me, so I prefer to make introductions and interactions on my own schedule. Once I feel comfortable, you`ll find that I enjoy sharing quiet moments with my favourite humans. Having a safe place to call my own is very important to me. Whether it`s a cozy box, a cat house, or a quiet hideaway, I like knowing I have somewhere to retreat when I need a little time to myself. My favourite time of day is dusk! That`s when my playful, energetic side comes out. I`ll stay active through the evening before settling down to relax with you. At bedtime, you`ll often find me sleeping at the foot of the bed, and if I think you`ve slept long enough, I may gently tap your arm to ask for a few morning pets before starting my day. I`m still learning that being picked up isn`t so scary, but it`s not something I`m fully comfortable with yet. Patience and understanding will go a long way with me. I also have some preferences when it comes to affection—please skip the pets on top of my head! I`ll usually duck away to let you know that`s not my favourite spot. One thing I absolutely love? Catnip toys! They bring out my fun side and are a great way to win me over. Because I`m a sensitive soul, I`d do best in a quiet home without young children. A calm environment will help me feel safe and allow my personality to continue to blossom. If you`re looking for an independent companion who will quietly share your space, keep you company on her own terms, and reward your patience with trust and affection, I might just be the perfect cat for you. Come meet me at PetSmart Dougall starting June 5th!

Story
Hi, I’m Zip Tie! I may have a funny name, but I’m all sweetness and curiosity. I’m a tiny kitten who loves to tumble, chase toys, and explore every little corner I can find. When I’m done being adventurous, I’m all about cuddles and curling up close for a nap. I’m looking for a forever home where I can learn, grow, and turn every day into a little adventure—with lots of love mixed in.

Story
Hi… I’m Oh. Yep, just “Oh.” Like the sound people make when they finally notice me peeking around the corner. I’m a tiny little cat with a cautious heart and a soft spot for people I trust. I want to be close to you… just not too close at first. I’m famous for staying exactly one arm’s length away, like I invented my own personal bubble. But if you’re patient and gentle, I’ll lean into ear scratches and even place my little paw on you to ask for more. It’s kind of my way of saying, “Okay… maybe you’re safe.” I came from a home where I spent time outdoors, but deep down, I think I’d really love the chance to become someone’s cozy indoor companion. I’m still young, still learning, and honestly? The world feels a little scary sometimes. I can be shy and fearful with new people, and I definitely prefer to take things at my own pace. Being picked up is absolutely not my thing, and if I get overwhelmed, I’ll simply run off to recharge in peace. I don’t cause trouble on purpose — I’m just a sensitive girl who hasn’t always known stability or trust. With patience, kindness, and a calm home, I think I could blossom into a wonderful little friend. The person who understands me best right now is the one who lets me come to them on my own terms. That’s when my sweet side really shines. I’ve lived around other cats before and mostly kept to myself. I can coexist just fine, but I’m more of an independent observer than the life of the party. I’d probably do best in a quieter home with people who understand that love doesn’t always arrive loudly. Sometimes it arrives slowly… one tiny paw tap at a time. If you’ve got patience, a gentle heart, and room for a shy little shadow to grow, I think we might be perfect for each other.

Story
Hi, I’m Theory, and after 9 years of gathering wisdom, I’ve come to one very important conclusion: a loving home is the best place to be. I’m a sweet, social senior girl who absolutely adores attention. If you sit down, there’s a good chance I’ll be nearby, hoping for some pets, kind words, and quality time together. I’m friendly, affectionate, and happiest when I’m spending time with my people. While some cats prefer to keep to themselves, I enjoy being part of the action and making friends wherever I go. I also have experience living with other cats, so with proper introductions, I may enjoy sharing my home with a feline companion. At 9 years old, I’ve left the kitten chaos behind and traded it for a calm, loving personality that makes me a wonderful companion. I still have plenty of love to give and am ready to spend my golden years being spoiled the way every cat deserves. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate friend who will happily fill your home with love, I think my theory is correct: we belong together. Come meet me and see if I’m the missing piece of your family. I am a special paws adoption, which means I do have medical needs that need tending to. I am FIV + , but because of this, my adoption fee is totally up to you ($30 admin fee still applies)!
