Story
Hi, I’m PoppyI’m a shy girl who likes to take my time getting to know new people and new places. At first, I may hang back and watch from a safe spot while I figure things out, but with patience, kindness, and a calm home, I can start to feel more comfortable. Once I settle in, I have the potential to show my sweet side in my own quiet way. I’m looking for a forever family who will give me the time and understanding I need to blossom.

Story
Hi there, I’m Austin. I’m a 2½-year-old handsome white kitty looking for a forever home with my brother and best friend, Texas. We’re a bonded pair, which means we need to be adopted together-we’ve always had each other and wouldn’t want it any other way. When you first meet us, we’ll likely be very shy and a bit shut down. Big changes can be scary for sensitive cats like us. But with time, patience, and a calm home, we may start to come out of our shells and show you our sweet sides.I’m a gentle guy who enjoys being pet, but you have to go slow and let me decide when it’s time for attention. When I’ve had enough, I’ll simply wander off to find a cozy spot for a nap. I’m not much of a lap cat and I’m not a big fan of being picked up, but I’m polite about it—I’ll just squirm away without using my claws.I do have a playful side though, especially when it comes to chasing mouse toys. I can do well with older, considerate children who understand that I’m a quiet, sensitive cat. Dogs make me nervous though, so a dog-free home would be best for me and Texas. If you have a calm home and a kind heart, my brother and I would love the chance to grow more confident with you and finally find our forever family.

Story
Hi, I’m Milo. I came to the shelter because my person became sick and could no longer take care of me. It wasn’t anyone’s fault, just one of those hard life changes, and now I’m hoping for a new forever home where I can settle in again. I am a strictly indoor cat and I’m a very quiet companion. I don’t demand much and I’m happy to just observe the world around me or nap in a cozy spot. I enjoy playing though—anything that moves, rolls, or catches my attention is interesting to me. I should be honest about what I like and don’t like. I’m not a big fan of being picked up, and I’ll usually just walk away if you try. I also don’t really enjoy being pet or sitting on laps, but I’m still a friendly presence in my own calm, independent way. I’ve never lived with other cats or dogs, so I’m not sure how I would feel about them. I do, however, have a relaxed and friendly nature around children, and I’ve never shown any aggression—I have never bitten or scratched a person. I may not be the cuddly lap cat some people are looking for, but I am gentle, quiet, and playful in my own way. I’m looking for a patient, understanding forever home that will appreciate me just as I am.

Story
Hi… I’m Laddie. I’m an 11-year-old gentleman with a soft heart and a quiet way about me. I’ve spent my life in a calm, single-pet home with a senior lady, and I’m now hoping for a peaceful new place where I can once again be someone’s loyal companion. I can be a little shy at first, but once I feel comfortable, I’m very friendly and enjoy having people around. I even like to greet my favourite humans at the door—it’s my way of saying I’m happy you’re here. I really enjoy affection… on my terms. If I’m in the mood, I love gentle pets and I may even hop up for some lap time. When I’ve had enough, I’ll politely walk away—no hard feelings, I just like my space respected. I’m more of a calm observer than a constant entertainer, but I do enjoy a bit of play here and there when the mood strikes me. Mostly, I’m just happy to be near my person, keeping quiet company and sharing the room together. I’ve always lived indoors and I’m perfectly content with that lifestyle. I haven’t lived with other animals or children, so I’m looking for a home that understands I may need a little time and patience if things are new to me. My previous person wasn’t able to return home due to being in hospital, so I’m now searching for a fresh start and someone to love me through my golden years. What I love most? Being a good companion. I don’t ask for much—just a calm home, kind hands, and someone who understands that love can be gentle and quiet.

Story
Hi, I’m Wednesday- yes, like the one from The Addams Family! I may not be as gloomy as my famous namesake, but I do share that sleek, all-black look… and a bit of attitude. Think of me as your very own playful little house panther—with a hint of spice.I’m a 2-year-old boy who came to the shelter when my previous family developed allergies. I’ve lived with other cats before, so I could do well with feline friends again. I’m friendly and love pets… but only on my terms. When I’ve had enough, I’ll let you know—sometimes with a swat or a quick escape. I’m definitely not a lap cat, and I like keeping my paws firmly on the ground.I adore playtime—chasing toys, pouncing, and exploring keeps me happy. I’m an indoor-only cat and enjoy a home where I can safely strut my stuff and show off my personality. If you’re looking for a sleek, playful black cat who knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to show it, I just might be your perfect little panther.

Story
Hi… I’m Frankie. I might be a little quiet when we first meet, but there’s a very sweet, gentle girl hiding just beneath my shy exterior. I came from a home with other cats and even a dog, and I got along well with everyone—we’d nap together, play, and just peacefully share space. I’ve always been a kind companion, never one to bite or act aggressively. Big changes can feel overwhelming for me, and I can be a bit anxious in new environments. Because of that, I sometimes struggled with using my litter box in my previous home. The shelter staff think it may have been due to stress, and they’re helping me feel safe and supported while keeping an eye on my progress. With patience, understanding, and a calm environment, I have so much potential to thrive. I do enjoy affection—but on my terms. I’m not much of a lap cat, and I prefer not to be picked up, but when I’m in the mood for pets, I’ll happily soak them in. When I’ve had enough, I’ll simply get up and walk away—no fuss, just gentle communication. Playtime is another way to win me over! I love batting around little balls and chasing string toys—it helps me build confidence and brings out my playful side. I would do best in a quieter home with patient people who understand that I may need time to adjust and feel safe. I haven’t been around children, and because I can be fearful, a calm environment would really help me come out of my shell. What makes me special? My soft, gentle nature and the way I show love in my own quiet way. Once I trust you, those little moments of affection mean everything. If you’re someone who can offer me patience, understanding, and a peaceful place to land, I’d love the chance to show you just how sweet I truly am.
