Story
Looking for a kitten with the perfect balance of playful energy and sweet affection? Wonder Woman is ready to save the day — and your heart! This special girl spends her days wrestling and zooming around with her siblings, chasing toy wands, and exploring tunnels like the brave little adventurer she is. But when playtime winds down, she transforms into a total lovebug. She adores being petted, especially gentle scratches on her head and neck, and will happily rub against your legs to ask for more attention. Wonder Woman is wonderfully people-oriented and thrives on interaction. She’s confident, outgoing, and has done great around children and other kittens. Her curious nature means she loves watching the world from the window — future neighborhood watch captain in the making! She’s also happily food motivated (both wet and dry are big hits), which makes bonding and training even easier. With her soft coat, goofy antics, and playful spirit, she’s guaranteed to bring laughter and warmth into your home. Because she loves companionship and play, Wonder Woman would thrive in a home with another cat — maybe even one of her littermates! If you’re searching for a confident, affectionate, playful companion who will follow you from room to room and keep life entertaining, Wonder Woman is your girl. She’s ready to find her forever family — could it be yours? 💛 Wonder Woman is approximately 1.5 years old. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, and has tested FIV negative / FeLV positive (regressive). **Wonder Woman tested positive for feline leukemia, but it is regressive. A regressive infection occurs when a cat's immune system successfully controls the virus. Wonder Woman is currently less likely to be able to infect other cats with feline leukemia and is less likely to be sick with FeLV-related disease; however, her regressive status could change over time. Her siblings have all tested negative for feline leukemia and have all been vaccinated against the virus, but we will want to discuss what this all means with anyone interested in adopting from this litter.

Story
Meet Kickflip! He’s one of the most special and handsome cats that has come through Trash Cat Rescue in a while. He’s a very good boy and loves every person or cat that he’s ever met. He even likes to snuggle his foster mate Kotake in the cat bed. He’s very playful and loves attention. He’ll chase a feather toy all day long. In fact, if you get up and he’s not done playing, he might come over and give you a light smack on the ankle as if to say, “Where do you think you’re going?” Kickflip is very affectionate and in turn loves being showered with affection himself. It’s hard to take a picture of him because as soon as he sees you, he comes running up for some love. He’s very easygoing and he is fine with being picked up and carried around and loves being kissed all over his big stripey head. Kickflip came to us with a little limp that resembled riding a skateboard. That’s where his name came from. We’re not really sure what caused the limp, but over the last handful of months, the limp has faded. Now it’s much easier for him to run around and play and climb a cat tree to watch out the window than it used to be. Kickflip would be okay as a solo cat as long as you have lots of attention to give but he does do very well with other cats. He’s never been around kids or dogs but he’s so easygoing he’d probably be fine with proper introductions. Kickflip is estimated to be about 8 years old. He has been neutered, dewormed, flea treated, vaccinated, and microchipped, and has tested FIV+ and FeLV negative. Kickflip was recently successfully treated for FIP (feline infectious peritonitis). Although a reinfection with FIP would be considered rare, we would recommend that any interested adopters educate themselves on this disease and what signs/symptoms to look out for. If you’ve got a lot of love to give and want a very affectionate cat companion, Kickflip is your man!

Story
It’s finally time to meet Arthur! Arthur was part of the MCM kitten crew from Penn Hills. His four brothers, step dad, and mom have all found great homes, but Arthur was a little more hesitant than the rest of his family. He had quite the attitude as a baby! As he’s gotten a little older, Arthur has become very adventurous and a lot more social. He still doesn’t prefer pets or cuddles, but he loves to hang out and play with his foster siblings. He even follows his foster mom around the house, getting up on the couch or bed with her while she works or reads. He runs down the stairs when his foster parents gets home and likes to be a part of everything that goes on in the house - yet he stays just out of reach of being touched! Arthur will definitely need to go to a home with an outgoing cat friend or be adopted with another social butterfly from Trash Cat! He loves to play and is great with any other cat he’s met. However, he can also be very chill and relaxed and he cuddles a lot with his foster siblings. He loves treats and wet food. He will need to go home with someone who understands that he may never be a lap cat, and it may take him several weeks or even months to settle into his new routine. For this reason, we think he would be best in a home with adults only, or older kids who won’t get their feelings hurt by his disinterest in being handled! Arthur is a little over two years old. He is neutered, dewormed, flea treated, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Are you willing to work with a cat who needs a little extra love? Please apply to adopt Arthur today!

Story
Calling all FeLV+ cat lovers! Are you looking for the perfect little sweetheart of a cat? Introducing Brooke! Brooke came to TCR after she was found as a stray. Brooke is a super sweet girlie who perpetually looks a bit surprised and startled - those big, wide dinner plate eyeballs are just part of her very endearing aesthetic. Clocking in at less than 7lbs, Brooke may be a small cat, but there is a lot of love and endless biscuit-making power in those dainty paws. Brooke's favorite things are snuggling in laps, treats and snacks, and flopping over to get hard at work in the biscuit factory. She is currently being fostered with another FeLV+ cat, Skye, and the two get along like gangbusters. Brooke and Skye both are a bit shy at first, but with a little love and patience, they are sure to come out of their shells in no time. Brooke and Skye could be adopted together, as solo kitties, or to homes with other FeLV+ cats. We think that either one of them would do fine with older, respectful kiddos who can be patient at first. Brooke would thrive best with an adopter willing to start her off in one small room in their home, until she is comfortable and ready for more space. Brooke is estimated to be a little over a year old. She has been spayed, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV-/FeLV+ (progressive). This chronic illness doesn't currently affect Brooke's daily life much; however, the FeLV virus may eventually affect her health and lifespan, as FeLV impairs the cat's immune system. Becoming established with a vet supportive of treating an FeLV+ cat, controlling secondary infections, and treating other illnesses as they arise is essential to maintaining an FeLV+ kitty. Are you looking to adopt an adorable perma-kitten? (Or two?) Consider Brooke, or Brooke and Skye together!

Story
Do you love watching videos of cats chirping? Adopt Hollywood and you won’t have to anymore because she is the queen of chirping! Not only does she chirp at the birds outside, but if the phone rings or her foster mom sneezes or opens a can, Holly turns on the akkakakakakka. Holly and family came to TCR when a sweet woman found them living in her neighbor's wood pile. Holly has come a long way during her time in foster but is still a little more on shy side. Holly does best in a quiet and predictable setting with another calm, chill cat to help her cat. Since Holly can still be quite shy, she will need a patient adopter who will start her in one room and is willing to give her time to warm up and move at her own pace. She loves her dinnertime routine. She greets her foster mom at the door, rubs all over her legs and meows for her food. Food is the way to Holly’s heart - especially churu treats. She likes being petted while she eats her wet food and we can guarantee that she has the softest fur you have ever touched. Holly is very playful and loves playing with the wand toy, laser pointer and other chase toys. She's also an avid bird watcher and snoozer. Holly would do best in a home with all adults or a home with cat savvy, respectful kids. She is about two years old and has been spayed, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. If you are looking for a beautiful and sweet but shy kitty, apply for Holly today! **Please note: Hollywood was exposed to a cat in foster that initially tested FeLV negative, then later tested FeLV positive. Holly has tested FeLV- on IDEXX snap and PCR testing here at TCR. She has also been vaccinated against FeLV. To be extra cautious, her future adopters may want to consider having her retested in the future, and/or having any resident cats FeLV vaccinated.

Story
Suomi, pronounced “sue-me” is the Finnish word for Finland. Does he speak Finnish or is he from Finland?? You’ll have to adopt him to find out! This reserved guy has made huge improvements in his foster home & has decided that being feral is in the past. He will still need someone who will take their time & give him space to decompress. When he becomes more comfortable, instead of hiding in the back of his cat tree he will follow you around for pets & cuddle up in bed next to you! Suomi has a silly way of laying with a leg hanging out for an extra razzle dazzle! He loves soft pets under his chin, behind his ears & down his back, maybe even a little scratch at the base of his tail. He is clear with his boundaries & will run away to hide if uncomfortable but when you gain his trust he rewards you with a quiet purr! Suomi enjoys being your shadow, eating wet food, smacking around stuffed mice & cuddling with his foster brother, Malachi. Churu treats are his favorite & would be a great way to become his buddy. He is truly a cat’s cat & would do best being adopted with his foster friend, Malachi, or with another friendly cat that loves to play fight & cuddle. Young children would most likely scare him but could possibly be okay with a calm dog that mostly leaves him alone after slow, proper introductions. Suomi is estimated to be a little over 4 years old. He is neutered, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Do you have the time/patience (and enough love in your heart) to take on a project kitty (and his BFF?). Consider Suomi (and Malachi?) today!
