Story
This 6-month-old black-and-white beauty is the perfect blend of playful kitten energy and sweet lap cat. She loves a good zoom session—especially when chasing her favorite toy—and can often be found darting around the house with joyful enthusiasm. Once she’s burned off that kitten energy, she’s all about the cuddles. She’ll happily curl up in your lap, purring contentedly as she drifts off to sleep, clearly proud of a play session well done. Her affectionate nature makes her a wonderful companion for anyone who enjoys both interactive playtime and quiet, cozy moments. If you’re looking for a kitten who knows how to have fun and how to settle in close, this black-and-white beauty could be the perfect match. All cats are up-to-date on age/weight appropriate vaccines, exams, FIV/FeLV tested (negative), flea treated, dewormed, spayed/neutered and microchipped. If not completed at the time of adoption, any remaining initial vetting will be covered by the rescue. Apply to adopt! Information located at animaladvocates.net

Story
Its hard to believe but Pepper arrived at our rescue in 2019! She is the longest resident at Animal Advocates and all of the volunteers at the rescue would be overjoyed to see Pepper thriving in the loving home she deserves. Pepper had been taken care of, along with a number of other cats, by a local rescuer until the time a house fire caused her to evacuate. Most of the cats in the group were brought to the rescue where they were eventually adopted. Pepper presented as the most challenging of the group as she was extremely wary of people at first. However, with patience and lots of positive reinforcement, Pepper has come a long way! The way to Pepper's spicy heart is through treats and playtime. She will come out to play with wand toys and accepts treats and pets from her favorite volunteers. Pepper requires a home with experienced cat people who will show her love, consistency and accept her for the cat that she is. Our team is happy to discuss with approved applicants the possibility of a long-term foster placement for Pepper. In a long-term foster placement the goal is to connect special animals with individuals in the community who are interest in caring for a pet. The rescue will provide supply and vetting support as needed. In hopes of bringing awareness to the many deserving cats searching for homes, volunteers at Animal Advocates have sponsored Pepper and covered her adoption fees.

Story
Lord Byron is a senior feline of considerable charm and sophistication - a true romantic at heart who craves the undivided attention of his human companions. He is an affectionate lap cat! And, despite his distinguished years, Lord Byron maintains a playful spirit - much like his namesake, delighting in spirited adventures around the home chasing after toys. Currently residing in a multi-pet household, he has proven himself adaptable, yet Lord Byron would flourish in a home where he reigns as the sole feline and pet in the home. Food-motivated and eager to please, Lord Byron responds enthusiastically to treats and mealtime rituals. Lord Byron has a regal floof of medium brown tabby fur. His birthday is estimated in 2015. If you seek a devoted, intellectually engaging companion who will shower you with affection, Lord Byron awaits his forever home! Our team is happy to discuss with approved applicants the possibility of a long-term foster placement for Willow as she is also eligible for our SENIOR TO SENIOR PROGRAM. In the program senior animals are connected with senior citizens in the community who are interested in caring for a pet. As a foster for Animal Advocates, all vetting costs, supplies and other support are provided by the rescue.

Story
Introducing: Cheeky Charles!

Charles is a handsome brown tabby with a heart as big as his cheeks! Seriously though—have you ever seen such huge pettable cheeks in your life??? Charles has a somewhat reserved (but not shy!) demeanor. He loves to lounge around, especially in front of a big window where he can do some bird watching.

There are two main ways to Charles’s heart—catnip and brushing. Charles LOVES being brushed, especially with a slicker type brush with fine soft bristles. Sometimes he gets so blissed out while being brushed that he actually starts to drool! And the best part? His favorite place to be brushed is his cheeks! He also adores catnip, and those little fabric toys stuffed with catnip. He’ll roll around and purr and show his belly with appreciation!
Charles is around 1.5 years old. He can be particular about his feline friends. So far, he seems to not mind cats with calm or meek personalities. However, he really doesn’t appreciate cats with strong, outgoing personalities. Charles wants his peace and he wants to be the star or the show. He would do fine as an only cat, or in a house with another shy or quiet cat, especially a female cat. He’s very relaxed around all of our volunteers, and would probably do well in a variety of households, including those with children. We haven’t observed him around dogs, but based on his interactions with the more outgoing cats in our space, it’s very possible that he might not appreciate their particular type of friendship!

Story
You know how people sometimes will describe a particular cat as being “just like a dog”? Well, that’s Bernard in a nutshell!

Bernard is 0% shy. The moment he sees a person, his first inclination is to jump into their lap and then climb up and lick their face! He is extremely human oriented and adores human attention and affection. He seems like the kind of cat that could be leash trained and visit your local coffee shop with you! He is very vocal and wants to be a part of whatever you’re doing at any given moment. As a bonus, he has incredibly silky soft fur and an adorable permanently startled facial expression. But don’t worry, he’s not actually startled—he’s just so excited to be here!

Bernard is a big fan of churu, catnip, and pretty much any kind of cat toy around. However, there is one thing he is really not a fan of—most other cats! So far from what we’ve observed, he’s not too bothered by the shyer, more low-key cat residents. But he REALLY does not like our more outgoing and confident residents, especially if they are male. It’s possible that with slow and careful introductions, he could get along with a chill female companion. He’d probably be happiest as an only cat who didn’t have to compete for any of your attention!

Bernard is approximately one year old. With his friendly and outgoing nature, he’d probably do well in a variety of different types of households, including those with children, as long as he has plenty of attention. We haven’t observed him around dogs.
