Story
I adopted Mysa (pronounced Me-sa, like how Jar Jar Binx says it) in 2023 off of Craigslist. I love her very dearly, however my husband is allergic to her. He put up with it for a while but is unable to any longer. Mysa is a very energetic, young cat. She is about 3 years and 7 months old. She gets along great with dogs, as long as they are open to playing with her. She isn't very cuddly but she likes to take naps with you, and will lay next to your head while you snooze. She likes to play with her tail a lot. She is a little behind on vaccines due to the financial burden of paying for these vaccines at the same time we had to pay for surgery for our dog. However, she is spayed.

Story
Its hard to believe but Pepper arrived at our rescue in 2019! She is the longest resident at Animal Advocates and all of the volunteers at the rescue would be overjoyed to see Pepper thriving in the loving home she deserves. Pepper had been taken care of, along with a number of other cats, by a local rescuer until the time a house fire caused her to evacuate. Most of the cats in the group were brought to the rescue where they were eventually adopted. Pepper presented as the most challenging of the group as she was extremely wary of people at first. However, with patience and lots of positive reinforcement, Pepper has come a long way! The way to Pepper's spicy heart is through treats and playtime. She will come out to play with wand toys and accepts treats and pets from her favorite volunteers. Pepper requires a home with experienced cat people who will show her love, consistency and accept her for the cat that she is. Our team is happy to discuss with approved applicants the possibility of a long-term foster placement for Pepper. In a long-term foster placement the goal is to connect special animals with individuals in the community who are interest in caring for a pet. The rescue will provide supply and vetting support as needed. In hopes of bringing awareness to the many deserving cats searching for homes, volunteers at Animal Advocates have sponsored Pepper and covered her adoption fees. All cats are up-to-date on age/weight appropriate vaccines, exams, FIV/FeLV tested (negative), flea treated, dewormed, spayed/neutered and microchipped. If not completed at the time of adoption, any remaining initial vetting will be covered by the rescue. Apply to adopt! Information located at animaladvocates.net

Story
If you’re looking for a devoted sidekick who loves to cuddle, Dory is your gal!
Dory is extremely affectionate. Her favorite thing to do is sit in your lap and make biscuits while getting lots of pets. Sometimes, when she’s really really happy and relaxed, she even drools a little <3

When she’s not getting attention from people, she likes to sit in the sun in front of a big window and watch the birds outside. A cat tree or nice cozy shelf in front of a window is a must! Overall, she’s a very chill/relaxed kinda kitty.

Dory’s friendly and relaxed personality makes her a good match for most any kind of household. We haven’t seen her interact with kids or dogs, but she’d probably do well in a home with either. Looking for *two* new feline friends? Consider adopting Dory’s friend Bill! These two are friends and can often be found lounging around together. Dory is approximately two years old. She is up-to-date on vaccines, exams, FIV/FeLV tested (negative), flea treated, dewormed, spayed, and microchipped. Apply to adopt! Information located at animaladvocates.net

Story
Is a 15 pound cat too big to sit in your lap? Scout certainly doesn’t think so! Scout is the kind of cat who makes his presence known immediately, usually by asking for pets, attention, and as much closeness as possible. Scout absolutely loves his people and wants to be involved in every part of their day, whether that means curling up beside you, rubbing against your legs for attention, or staring at you expectantly until you give him the pets he believes he deserves. He has a big personality, a lot of charm, and an endless supply of love to give. Scout shares a close bond with his best friend Harper, and the two are looking for a home together. While Harper is the calm and steady half of the pair, Scout brings a little extra spark and personality that makes them such a fun duo. He’s social, expressive, and full of charm, with a presence that keeps life entertaining and full of affection. Because Scout becomes so enthusiastic about attention, he can sometimes get overstimulated during petting and may nip or grab at the hand petting him. He’s looking for a patient, cat-savvy home with someone who understands feline body language and can recognize when he needs a short break to reset. With the right person, Scout’s quirks are easy to manage and are simply part of what makes him unique. Scout has so much love to give and will thrive in a home that appreciates his affectionate, spirited personality while respecting his boundaries. Together, Scout and Harper make a deeply bonded pair full of companionship, comfort, and character.
Scout would likely do well in a home with older or cat savvy kids. We haven’t had a chance to observe him around dogs, but a chill, older dog companion would probably be ok too. Scout is approximately three years old. He is up-to-date on vaccines, exams, FIV/FeLV tested (negative), flea treated, dewormed, neutered, and microchipped. Apply to adopt! Story
Pint sized Lydia is fully grown despite her kitten-like appearance!

Weighing in at a whopping six pounds, this little gal will wow you with her beautiful deep orange eyes and marbled tabby pattern. Despite her permanent serious face, she is friendlier than she appears! When you first meet Lydia, she often looks frightened—but I promise, all you have to do is reach out and pet her and she starts purring! She just has “that look” (who among us, am I right???).

If her purrs don’t convince you, try giving her a churu. Lydia loves treats! You’ll soon realize that this wild looking little kitty with the serious eyes is actually very loving and affectionate! It doesn’t take long before she starts purring and head butting you in return.

Lydia hasn’t shown us her playful side yet, but it’s possible that she’s just waiting for a calmer home environment where she can really feel comfortable before she goes all out! She doesn’t, however, really enjoy a pinch of catnip now and again! Overall, she seems at her happiest lounging near a sunny window, getting a few crunchy treats and pets.

Lydia is approximately 4 years old. She’s polite around other cats, and seems to get along best with our other small female felines (Looking for a pair? Check out similarly tiny Martini!).
She would probably do well with other calm/shy cats, or as an only cat. We haven’t seen her interact with dogs or small children yet, but based on her overall vibe I think she needs a calm environment to live her best life. Older kids or a calm, cat savvy dog would probably be ok though.

Lydia is up-to-date on vaccines, exams, FIV/FeLV tested (negative), flea treated, dewormed, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Our vet has noted that she has some minor dental issues that need to be monitored over time, but she is otherwise in great health. Apply to adopt! Information located at animaladvocates.net
