Its hard to believe but Pepper arrived at our rescue FIVE YEARS AGO! She is the longest resident at Animal Advocates and all of the volunteers at the rescue would be overjoyed to see Pepper thriving in the loving home she deserves. Pepper had been taken care of, along with a number of other cats, by a local rescuer until the time a house fire caused her to evacuate. Most of the cats in the group were brought to the rescue where they were eventually adopted. Pepper presented as the most challenging of the group as she was extremely wary of people at first. However, with patience and lots of positive reinforcement, Pepper has come a long way! The way to Pepper's spicy heart is through treats and playtime. She will come out to play with wand toys and accepts treats and pets from her favorite volunteers. Pepper requires a home with experienced cat people who will show her love, consistency and accept her for the cat that she is. She has received yearly vet exams, is up-to-date on vaccinations, tested negative for FIV/Felv, spayed and microchipped. During her time at our rescue, Pepper has seen and interacted with many cats and seems to get along fine with all. Meet Miss Bennett! This flirty girl has been enjoying the good life and all of the attention she deserves at Animal Advocates. Miss B purrs, loves attention and generally has a great all around demeanor. She has been observed comfortable around other cats at the rescue but really is very people oriented with an interactive, engaging personality. Miss B is often the first cat to chirp and greet caregivers at the door and is often found flopping over (and blocking) walkways asking for belly rubs! We imagine Miss B will adapt nicely to most home environments, with her ideal being in with a family (adult-only or older kids) that she can bond with and soak up all of the attention she craves. Miss B would benefit from a home that can help with her weight loss goals, through portioned meals, high quality foods and enrichment activities to keep her active and healthy. Miss Bennett has beautiful light blue-green eyes and soft brown tabby markings. The cat's birthday is approximated in 2020. All have tested negative for Felv/FIV, up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped and treated for fleas/dewormed. Any remaining initial vetting will be scheduled and covered by the rescue. Meet Willow! This large and in charge lady is looking for love! Could it be with you? Willow lived in a multi-pet household, living comfortably in the past with other cats and feline-savvy dogs. She is friendly and accustomed to the companionship of other felines and people. She would make the perfect companion for a "homebody" who enjoys snuggling on the couch with a delightful feline pal! Willow has marble tabby markings and the longest curly whiskers. She was born in 2014. Willow is spayed, tested negative for FIV/Felv and up-to-date on vaccinations as well as flea/deworming treatments. She recently received a vet check and, while she is generally healthy for her age, Willow is on a daily maintenance medication to help control symptoms of the feline version of rheumatoid arthritis. She is responding well to this treatment and a home comfortable with this daily regimen is a must. Willow comfortably navigates her foster's home, including steps and on to tables and (like it or not) counter tops, without any issues. Willow would benefit from continued encouragement of playtime and frequent activity, less treats and portion control on her regular meals (she's gotta get "swimsuit" ready for the summer!). With his glossy black coat and those bright, wide eyes, Alfredo cuts a dashing figure indeed! Alfredo is a sassy gentleman with some particular personality quirks, but is a serious BFF material for the right adopter! He LOVES his favorite people, Churu and other special treats, catnip, lounging in a sunny spot and playing with wand toys. His favorite thing in the entire world is for a person to just hold out their hand so he can pet himself - and after he's finished, you might end up with Alfredo snuggled on your lap! Alfredo does have some quirks - He's not a fan of other cats generally and can be a bully to others. He does reside comfortably at the rescue with other felines and can peacefully coexist with calmer, laid back cats. Like people, Alfredo picks and choses his friends. Alfredo can also get quickly overstimulated and nippy when being pet - hence the let him do the work, for the exact amount of pets he wants at any given time. Aside from his "quirks" Alfredo is 100% best friend material and adores his chosen people. He is an intelligent, social cat and would be a wonderful addition to an adult-only home without other pets or a home with a calmer, introverted cat who keeps to themselves and doesn't mind sharing. Alfredo previously lived with an older, small breed feline-savvy dog. Alfredo’s birthday is in June 2015. With a beautiful floof of fur and gentle spirit, Diane is shy but incredibly sweet cat. She isn't the type to "make the first move" and initiate interactions but once you start to pet Diane, she immediately melts and purrs instantly. Diane loves to be doted on and bat around wand toys (and sometimes her brother's tail). She is a low key lady looking for a calm home, with people to love and a toasty, warm bed to curl up in. Jack and his sister Diane were adopted as kittens from the rescue. Due to changes in the home and through no fault of their own, this dynamic duo are now on the hunt for a new home. Jack has class brown and dark tabby markings. Diane has gorgeous medium grey tabby fur. Both are up-to-date on all vaccines, yearly exams, tested FIV/FeLV negative and have been spayed/neutered and microchipped. Their birthday is approximately May 2020.
