Story

Harvey just recently celebrated his 5th birthday. He is a 12lbs, all black, sweet boy with house panther energy. He is cuddly - but only if he is the one who initiates the cuddling. He is intelligent, curious, and mischievous. He is absolutely in love with my teen sons. Harvey has no health issues, is neutered, and is up to date on his shots. He has no issues with scratching, urinating, spraying or other behavior issues. Harvey came into my care about a year ago when I agreed to temporarily foster him for a friend who was moving and going through serious health issues. Harvey has since been abandoned, and I am unable to continue fostering him long-term. He does not get along with one of my other cats and keeping them separate makes life unfair for both cats. After abandoning him with me, his former owner also stopped contributing to his food and routine vet visits, and this is an expense I can't afford to absorb.

RUE is approximately one year old and came to us when her owner could no longer care for her. Rue was terrified when she arrived and would strike out through the bars of her quarantine cage. It took us a while to win her over. She is now very affectionate with the volunteers but her new family should expect a similar decompression time. Typical to Calicos, she has a short fuse, so would not be the best match for a family with young children. Older children who understand “catitude” should be fine. Rue does not mind the small dogs who also inhabit our cat room. She has been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/leukemia and microchipped. Adoption $75.
