Story
Moo is a 4 year old female who we rescued as a kitten in Trenton, NJ. She is a very loving cat and is motivated by food. Our family loves her very much and wants to make sure she finds a good home. She loves cuddling and sleeping. Recently she has had an issue with territorial peeing. The vet offered jealously of our daughter and also the detection that I am pregnant again.

ABOUT MORNING Morning is about 5 years old and came to HAP when his owners could no longer keep him. Understandably, after living in a home, he had some reservations and nerves in the shelter. Morning has since opened up to our staff, proving to be the snuggliest boy. He craves attention and affection from his human friends now. When he's not curled up in his cozy bed, he can usually be found exploring our playroom and watching the birds. Morning usually prefers self-play and enjoys his 'me time'. He loves to bat around puff balls or shiny toys the most. Morning is sure to let you know when he wants something, with a sweet meow. He has met other cats and does not have a lot of patience for them, so a home without other cats is preferable. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! ABOUT FREEDOM Freedom is a sweet lady who will follow you around and meow for love. She is 1.5 years old and was abandoned at HAP. Despite this, she has remained affectionate and being pet and snuggled are some of her favorite things! When spooked or if she thinks you're ignoring her, she may show her spicy side but is quick to calm down after being reassured. She doesn't mind other cats that want to coexist but prefers if they do their own thing rather than interacting with her. This pretty girl loves to play; interactive toys are her absolute favorite. Come meet our lovely Freedom and find out if she's the right fit for you! If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Story
ABOUT MONICA! Meet Monica, our beautiful six-year-old girl! This little lady came to HAP as a stray momma. All her babies have found their homes, and now it's Monica's turn! Monica spent a little bit of time in a foster home during our Stanton renovation, and here's what her foster family had to say about her: "Monica currently doesn't live with any other animals, but loves every person who comes into our home. She is a huge snuggle bug and loves pets. She has random crazy spurts of energy and will do zoomies around the house, then come crawl in your lap when she's worn out. I've never met a cat with so much personality, she's such a loving little goofball. I love that she will do her own thing when I'm working from home and doesn't scream for attention, but will also come snuggle on the couch at the end of the night. I've found she prefers to snuggle when you have a blanket on top of you. One of my favorite things about her is when you put your face right up to hers, she'll rub up against your face and give you forehead licks. She also sticks her tongue out at you sometimes. I truly can't say enough great things about her!" *Monica is seeking a home as your only cat. Monica would likely do okay with a calm dog and children who can respect her boundaries! **Monica has been diagnosed with very early-stage kidney disease. While this can shorten her lifespan, we have no reason to believe she doesn't have many, many more years left in her! She is currently being treated with a special diet and managed by yearly vet visits. If you are interested in adopting Monica, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. ABOUT CARNITAS Life would be oh so boring without a little spice...don't you agree? Allow us to kick up the heat with HAP's resident spicy girl herself, Carnitas! This little lady is the definition of "Queen of the castle!" She much prefers solitary life with humans, therefore would do best as the single queen pet in a home. She can regularly be found lounging in our playroom, watching the birds outside. She loves catnip toys and will roll around with one in her paws until she's ready for a snooze. Carnitas enjoys head scratches and she's not afraid to let you know when she's had enough! She likes to follow our staff around, supervising our work. She will even remind us when we haven't provided her with treats, because after all...her wish is our command! If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire!
