Kittens and cats in Sparta, Tennessee

Jojo is a very social cat, loves human company and is happy with animal companions. He is roughly 3 years old. He can also be adopted with his sisters: Princess and Daisy. Princess is shy but absolutely adores being pet. Daisy is smart & sophisticated, and loves being as cute as possible by laying on her back by your feet.

Pixie is a 3 year old beautiful, fluffy girl with a sweet-but-sassy personality and the biggest, most expressive eyes—you can’t help but think of a little owl when she looks at you! Her coat is incredibly soft and fluffy, making her just as pretty as she is full of personality. Pixie loves being around her people, but she’s very much an “affection on my terms” kind of girl. She isn’t a big snuggler or lap cat, but she enjoys being nearby, hanging out with you, and getting some pets when the mood strikes. She’s the perfect companion for someone who appreciates an independent kitty who still wants to be part of the family.  When it’s playtime, Pixie is all in! She loves feather wands, anything with a bell, and chasing her toy mice around the house. Pixie is also a very clean little lady and takes pride in keeping herself tidy. At mealtime, she’s a crunchy-food girl through and through—she loves her dry food and isn’t particularly impressed by canned food.  Pixie’s ideal home: She would do best with older children and no dogs. She does fine with other cats and would be happy in a home that understands her independent, sassy little spirit. If you’re looking for a gorgeous, entertaining companion who will keep you company, make you laugh, and occasionally grace you with some Pixie-approved affection, this sweet and sassy girl might be the one for you!      * $150 plus transport fee (varies) for adoptions to the Northeast.  Interested in adopting? Meet Turkey Bacon, a super sweet and social little girl who is always ready for cuddles, playtime, and plenty of attention! At around 4 months old, this adorable Domestic Short Hair is the perfect combination of snuggly and playful. Turkey Bacon would happily spend all day curled up in your lap soaking up love, but the moment something moves, she’s ready to chase, pounce, and show off her kitten zoomies! She loves kids and believes there’s no such thing as a stranger - everyone is a potential new friend. Turkey Bacon is still learning that dogs aren’t so scary and will need a patient home willing to help her build confidence around them. If you’re looking for a happy, outgoing kitten who will keep you entertained and then curl up in your lap when playtime is over, Turkey Bacon may be your perfect match! This kitten is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $100 if picked up in TN.* Visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/cat-adoption-application/ to apply. Jethro is a sleek black go-getter who treats every moment of the day like an adventure waiting to be pounced on. At 3.5 months old, this domestic short hair is high energy, mischievous, and into everything, with a pointy face that gives him a Siamese look and a few white hairs on his chest as his only accent. He loves any toy he can get his paws on, and he has a special fondness for shoelaces, so fair warning to anyone in sneakers. But all that nonstop energy melts away the moment he is picked up, when he curls into your lap and purrs away while soaking up every bit of petting. Jethro gets along well with both cats and dogs, and he is happiest with a partner in crime to keep up with his pace. Kids are still new territory for him, so a calm household where he can take his time getting comfortable would suit him nicely. The best home for Jethro is one with a playful feline friend to wrestle and chase with, plus a family who enjoys a spirited kitten and plenty of cuddle breaks in between. If you are looking for a lively, affectionate kitten who keeps life interesting, Jethro would love to meet you. This kitten is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $100 if picked up in TN.* Visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/cat-adoption-application/ to apply. Storm is a little black whirlwind who believes every toy in the house is his, and he is happy to prove it. At two and a half months old, this domestic short hair treats every day as playtime, flitting from one adventure to the next and checking out everything that comes his way. He loves chasing his siblings, hiding in the cat tunnel, and pouncing on any toy another kitten happens to be eyeing. He is also the first to arrive at the dinner table, so mealtime is a favorite event. He likes to be in charge of the toy box, though he always comes around to sharing in the end. Between adventures, he will stop for a cuddle and purr as loudly as he possibly can before he is off again. Storm plays well with all the kitties in his foster home and is friendly with visitors. He has not met any dogs yet, but with a proper introduction he should do just fine. Storm would do well in just about any home, especially one with lots of toys and someone ready to play along with his adventures. If you are looking for a spirited, affectionate kitten to keep life interesting, Storm would love to meet you. COURTESY LISTINGMittens is a courtesy listing, not in the AARF foster program, and we are posting online to help the owner find a home for them. Please visit https://aarf-tn.com/adopt/cat-adoption-application/ to apply. Meet Mittens, a beautiful 5-year-old Domestic Long Hair with extra toes!!! She is a gorgeous white, dark brown, and black coat and an especially sweet personality! Mittens is a calm, medium-energy girl who enjoys being playful but is happiest spending time with her people and soaking up affection. She loves following her favorite humans out to the garden and hanging out nearby before happily making her way back home. Mittens is very friendly with people, even those she doesn’t know, and has shown herself to be a smart, easygoing, and easy-to-care-for companion. She would likely do best as the only cat in her home, as she can be uncomfortable around other cats. Mittens has an adventurous side and enjoys spending time outdoors, so her ideal home would be a safe, quiet property away from busy roads where she can have supervised or secure indoor/outdoor access. A screened-in porch or another safe outdoor space would also be wonderful for her. If you’re looking for a beautiful, affectionate companion who will happily keep you company around the garden and then come home for some love, Mittens may be your perfect match!  Interested in adopting?
