Story
This cat is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $75 if picked up in TN.* Visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/cat-adoption-application/ to apply. Jack is a charming and affectionate 3 year-old Russian Blue mix with a soft silver-grey coat, white markings, and an adorable little nubby tail. He has a big personality and an even bigger heart, making him the perfect companion for someone looking for a devoted feline friend. Jack is incredibly sweet and loves to be held, often stretching up on your leg to ask for snuggles. He isn’t the most talkative cat, but when he does meow, it’s always out of pure excitement—especially when it’s time for dinner. In fact, one of his most endearing habits is spinning in circles when he knows food is coming, happily performing a few extra spins before enjoying his meal. Playtime is a huge part of Jack’s daily routine, and nothing excites him more than chasing bubbles. The moment he sees them, he starts meowing in delight, eagerly leaping into the air to catch them. He also enjoys watching videos of falling leaves on TV, wand toys, feathered attachments, and puzzle feeders keep him entertained, and he loves working for treats on a lick mat. Jack is not only playful but also adventurous, sometimes perching on his person's shoulders from a cat tree or the back of a chair just to be close. He drinks his water like a true gentleman, delicately dipping his paw into the bowl before sipping. Jack would thrive in a home where he can be the center of attention. He would do best as the only pet, as he can be dominant with shy or timid cats and finds the presence of other animals a tad bit stressful. Jack is looking for a home with someone who could provide him his daily medication to ensure he lives a long happy life.  He is welcoming toward visitors but would prefer a home without young children, as he is not fond of loud, unpredictable energy. Jack is looking for a cat-savvy adopter who will appreciate his quirks, give him the love he craves, and provide him with plenty of entertainment. If you’re searching for a devoted, playful, and endlessly entertaining best friend, Jack is ready to spin his way into your heart.    Interested in adopting? Story
This kitten is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $100 if picked up in TN.* Visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/cat-adoption-application/ to apply. Meet Misty, a sweet and gentle four-month-old Domestic Shorthair with the prettiest diluted tortie coat, splashed with soft grays and warm patches of orange. Misty starts out shy and truly shines in a calm, quiet environment where she can take things at her own pace. Once she feels safe, she loves curling up beside you, sitting in your lap for treats, and keeping you company as a loyal “near you” kitty. She’s curious by nature and enjoys following her human around the house, and it’s been wonderful to watch her confidence grow—she’s even begun seeking out attention on her own, complete with the cutest little trills when she wants you to notice her. Misty has a playful side too! Feather toys, bells, soft fuzzy toys, and laser pointers are her absolute favorites, and she excels at leaping and pouncing with impressive kitten agility. She feels most confident perched up high on a cat tree, where she can survey her world and relax. Very food-motivated, Misty never says no to a tasty treat—especially boiled chicken or Churu—and treats are a great way to win her heart. She plays nicely with her littermate and an adult cat, and would likely enjoy having another friendly kitty companion, as she doesn’t like being alone. Misty’s ideal home would be a peaceful one with patient adopters who understand that while she has tons of potential and is becoming braver every day, she may never be a cat who wants to be carried around. What she offers instead is something just as special: a gentle presence, quiet affection, and the joy of watching a shy kitten blossom into a confident, loving companion. * $175 plus transport fee (varies) for adoptions to the Northeast.  Interested in adopting? Story
This cat is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $100 if picked up in TN.* Visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/cat-adoption-application/ to apply.   Tawny is a 5-month-old domestic shorthair with a truly magical coat—sometimes she glows warm orange, and from another angle she shimmers gray. Just like her coloring, she’s full of delightful surprises. This sweet girl is the definition of a perfect lap cat. Tawny’s favorite place in the world is right beside her person, whether that’s curled up while you paint, make jewelry, or relax. She’s incredibly curious and insists on supervising everything you do—personal space is optional when Tawny is involved. She’ll happily snooze for hours near you, soaking up the togetherness. While she’s mostly a cuddler, Tawny does enjoy a little playtime. She likes to bat around big wiffle balls and tiny toy mice, often with a bit of flair—as if she’s putting on a show just for you. Tawny is wonderfully easygoing and impressively tidy (possibly the cleanest kitten ever!). She doesn’t have any fears or bad habits and truly lives up to her reputation as a companion cat, not just a pet. In the right environment—especially cozy, creative spaces—she gets along well with other cats and even dogs. If you’re looking for a loving shadow, a warm lap warmer, and a tiny supervisor who just wants to share your day, Tawny might be your perfect match.  * $150 plus transport fee (varies) for adoptions to the Northeast.  Interested in adopting? Story
This kitten is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $100 if picked up in TN.* Visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/cat-adoption-application/ to apply. Phoebe is a joyful little sweetheart ready to charm her way into your heart. This playful Domestic Short Hair loves to bounce after toys, then curl up for cozy lap time with her perfect purr rumbling away. At four months old, she has just the right mix of kitten energy and sweet affection. Her soft grey coat with a hint of white is getting that silky Russian Blue feel, and she carries her fuzzy toy mice around like prized treasures. When she’s not pouncing and tossing toys through the air, she happily returns to your lap for more snuggles and gentle pets. Strangers are fun for Phoebe, and she watches adult cats with curious interest. She has not met dogs or children yet. A calm, loving home that enjoys both playtime and cuddle time would be a wonderful match for this friendly girl who loves to be close. If Phoebe sounds like the perfect companion for your family, please contact us for more information. * $175 plus transport fee (varies) for adoptions to the Northeast.  Interested in adopting? Story
This kitten is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $100 if picked up in TN.* Visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/cat-adoption-application/ to apply. Roger is a 4-month-old orange and white domestic short hair with a big personality packed into a tiny body. His life motto is simple:  play first, cuddle later.  Roger is a playful, inquisitive little guy who loves to jump, pounce, and chase anything that moves. Wand toys are his absolute favorite, and he’s often spotted proudly carrying a soft toy around like it’s his prized possession. When playtime winds down, Roger transforms into a lap-loving cuddle bug who enjoys napping with his human, especially if there’s a soft blanket involved. He can be a bit shy at first and isn’t a fan of being picked up, but once he feels safe, his sweet and affectionate side shines through. Roger likes to be involved in everything and clearly believes he should be in charge of household activities. Roger gets along wonderfully with other cats — he adores playing with his sister and does well with the adult cat in his foster home. He hasn’t met dogs yet. While he’s initially timid around strangers, he gains confidence quickly and will soon be out playing and exploring.  Roger would thrive in a quieter home where he can continue building confidence at his own pace. Having another friendly cat would be a big plus and help him feel secure and happy. If you’re looking for a playful kitten who will keep you entertained by day and snuggle up with you by night, Roger may be the perfect match.   * $175 plus transport fee (varies) for adoptions to the Northeast.  Interested in adopting?
