Story
This adorable, tenderhearted guy is Virgil. He is somewhere between 6 and 7 years old, but his pleading eyes seem kittenish. In contrast, he carries himself with a peaceful resilience of an old, wise soul. He does get the zoomies, he go bonkers for catnip kicker toys and he destroys silver vine chew sticks. Virgil's left eye was blinded because of an unfortunate event that happened when he was very young, but he feels no pain and it doesn't affect his behavior. He would probably coexist well with respectful kids and he does great with other cats as long as the resources are plentiful and he gets his share of human affection. Story
Belle, and her long time companion Blake, are looking for a loving home where they can stay together. Both are 8 years old and have calm, well-mannered personalities. Despite losing their longtime person, they are loving and eager to connect in a new forever home. Belle is a lovely short-haired domestic cat with a gentle, quiet nature. She is friendly but a bit more reserved than Blake. She is a little shy - especially with new people - but once she gains confidence, she will even settle in to a welcoming lap. Belle enjoys peaceful moments and can often be found sitting on her favorite perch by the window, watching the world go by. Together, this pair offers the perfect mix of affectionate companionship and serene charm. They would thrive in a loving home that appreciates mature cats with established personalities. If you would like to meet Blake and Belle, please complete an adoption application at Queencitycatsvt.org

Story
Mae is a beautiful, 4-year-old tortie girl. Mae moves through the world like a backcountry traveler—quiet, observant, and deliberate. Give her time, and she’ll reward you with a soft, steady presence and a sweetness that feels earned, not assumed. Tuna and salmon treats are her favorites, and they go a long way toward winning her trust. Mae has a well-documented love of vertical terrain, so a home with drywall ceilings and a tall, sturdy cat tower will help her feel secure and grounded. She does best in a calm, low-traffic environment, gets along well with adult male cats, and would thrive with someone who understands that the best companions don’t rush the bond. If you want to meet Mae, complete an adoption application at queencitycatsvt.org.

Story
Blake and Belle are looking for a loving home to stay together. Both are 8 years old and have wonderful, gentle personalities. The male of the duo, Blake, is a striking, long-haired black cat with a big presence and an even bigger heart. At around 16 pounds, he’s a large, well-mannered boy who is friendly and outgoing. He enjoys being brushed and will happily greet you when you walk into the room, always ready for attention and companionship. He has lived in a calm, loving home and is now seeking a new family after the loss of his person. Despite the change, he remains affectionate, social, and eager to connect. He would thrive in a home that appreciates a confident, loving cat who enjoys both interaction and quiet companionship. Together, these two would make a wonderful addition to a home looking for mature, loving cats with established personalities and lots of affection to give. Story
Our beautiful friend Henry (estimated at 3-5 years old) is quite a survivor. Rumor has it that he was once loved and had a home, but one day that love ran out and he was kicked out of his home, literally. Sadly, he had to learn how to fend for himself outside. He found food and shelter and hung around the familiar apartment building for at least two years until a nice neighbor gave him a warm place to sleep at night and contacted QCC. (Last picture is before his rescue.) Now in foster care, Henry is warm, well-fed, and very much loved again. He is learning about normal inside noises and we're working on eliminating his fear of them. He now trusts his foster mom and she recently discovered that he is an absolute snuggle bug. He curls up in her lap or lies on her chest, purring and then eventually falling asleep. Henry loves catnip and is very good at figuring out treat puzzles; he has a good appetite and uses the litter box like a champ. This sweet tabby boy will make someone very happy. Henry needs a quiet home and a patient adopter who will continue to work on earning his trust and gently eliminating his fears. An environment without small children, dogs, or other cats, will be best for Henry. If you want to meet this handsome lad, complete an adoption application at queencitycatsvt.org.
