Story
Jaxon and Teddy Bear are a feline pair who came to CVHS when their owner went into a nursing home. Being older gentlemen, they seek a calmer home to live out their golden years. Relatives who knew these felines were unable to take them in as these cats do not want to live with dogs. Both boys can be bashful, and move about their colony room quickly and stealthily. They are only familiar being indoors-only, and have not been exposed to other felines, canines or children. Based on their personalities we have seen here; they would appreciate a home free of dogs and children. We believe with proper introduction, they could live with another senior feline like themselves, and we do feel they would enjoy going into a home together.

Story
Lily came to CVHS when her owners were moving and unable to take her with them. She is a delightful and charming cat with a big, bold purrrsonality! She is an affectionate girl who asks for attention by rubbing on your legs and enjoys being petted. Just like any strong-willed kitty, Lily has her boundaries. She’s a smart girl who knows how to communicate her needs, and she’ll let you know if she’s had enough. She has lived with felines in the past, and has tolerated them here as long as they don`t get in her space. She does not have any experience with young children, and due to her getting overstimulated, should not go to a home with children. Lily has had some brief exposure to canines and seems to be afraid of them, so would need a home without them.

Story
Miracle came to CVHS when her owner was no longer able to care for her. She is an outgoing girl who has spent the last couple of years being an indoor cat, but prior to that she was a stray. Due to her personality and prior outdoor experience, we feel she would be happiest being an indoor/outdoor cat. This outgoing, affectionate girl has done well with everyone she has met so far, and did well with everyone she met in her past life, including children visitors. She was also exposed to both canines and felines and did well with them, so it would be fine to go home with them as long as a slow introduction is done.

Story
Breeze came to CVHS when her owners were unable to care for her. She was primarily an outdoor cat, but since being inside here she has demonstrated that she would love a warm house she could spend the cold winter in. She may seem shy at first but if you give her a few cheek scratches and some gentle coos, she will melt your heart with her hearty purr. She`s a sweet girl who loves making biscuits for you. She has been around her adult litter of kittens, and is doing great here in our colony rooms with her feline roommate. We have found that being in a room with another cat really helps her come out of her shell with people, and we`d like her to go to a home with another cat. We are unsure of any exposure to canines or children but due to her shyer personality at first, she would probably prefer no over-exuberant canines, or very young children. Breeze was adopted out briefly, and we learned that she definitely needs time to slowly transition into a new home, like staying in one room at first, or she will be a phantom in her new home.

Story
Ashley (2 years) and little Earl Grey (4 months) are a bonded pair of mother and son who are looking for a home together. We will only adopt them out as a pair. In August, Ashley was abandoned by her owner in an apartment in St. Johnsbury. She was pregnant and gave birth in a foster home to five kittens on September 1st. Earl Grey was the gentlest of her kittens and quite a mama boy. These two had a special bond, and when the other kittens had gone to good homes, mother and son became even closer. Both cats are very sweet and affectionate. They are looking forward to their forever home. Ashley and Earl Grey are currently in a foster home and can be visited after submitting an application. Please note that Kingdom Animal Shelter is not a 'same day' adoption shelter.
