Story
~ COURTESY POST ~ I'm trying to find a new family for our 10 year old cat "Jade".   Despite my moderate allergy to cats, we got Jade from the CV Humane Society 7 years ago to ward off the mice in our newly purchased house in 2017.  My son (born after we got the cat) and I take allergy medicine everyday to combat our allergy to her.  With our move to TX next month we want to try living pet free in hopes that my son's allergy-induced asthma and my allergies subside and our general health improves.     Jade is a Manx with tabby coloring.  She's healthy and enjoys spending time indoors and outdoors.  Her temperament is dog-like.  She loves to cuddle and frequently lies on her back so that her chest/tummy will be rubbed.  She's never had a problem with kids and didn't retaliate to the abuse of my son as a toddler.  She is devoted and playful and desires to be your only pet.  She thrives on attention from people but does not tolerate the presence of other pets well.   Please contact me if you are interested and can provide a safe home where she can get daily human interaction.  She's a sweetheart and you'll fall in love with her.   Contact Tari at Txr11090@gmail.com OR 802-282-3154 with any inquiries.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 27, 2024, 8:19 pm

Story
Wolf is a CVHS alumnus who was brought back to us when one of the dogs in the home was too much for this sweet boy. Wolf is a friendly boy who shows his affection through rubbing on your legs. He also enjoys making biscuits, and purring while you pet him. We are unsure how he will do with other felines but with a slow introduction he may be just fine. He does have experience living with canines, and may be okay with a calm, cat-savvy canine in the future, but would not do well with an over-exuberant dog. Wolf has also lived with children and did well.Wolf is currently available to meet at Bradford Veterinary Clinic in Bradford.

Story
Herondale is a typical outgoing kitten who loves to play and headbutt everyone he meets. He was brought in as a stray with his two siblings who have since been adopted. He has done great with his feline roommates and loves to play with them. With his outgoing personality, we feel he would do just fine with humans of all ages and potentially a cat-savvy canine.

Story
Big Cally is a CVHS alumni whose owner was unable to care for her due to her own human health issues. She can be timid at first, taking a little time to get used to new people. She lived her life being indoors-only in a quiet home, occasionally wanting to get attention from sitting in her owner`s lap, and likes to sleep on a cozy bed. In her previous home she seemed more interested in playing with pens than toys. In her next home she would love nothing more than a nice bed to look out the window. She has lived with a cat in the past and is doing well with her feline roommates here in our colony rooms. Due to Big Cally`s personality, no dogs or young children please. Due to findings of her having severe arthritis in both knees, she needs an adopter who is willing to work with her weight loss, keep extra weight off, and work with their veterinarian with a long-term management plan for arthritis care. Currently, she is receiving a Solensia injection monthly, which priced out looks to be $60-75 a month, adopter cost. We recommend any potential adopter speak to their veterinarian about this.
