Story
This quiet pair arrived at our shelter late October of 2023, as their owner could no longer care for them due to health complications. Understandably, these two have been quite timid for the majority of their time here as shelter life can be extremely stressful and scary for cats, especially older ones. Throughout their stay, however, the pair has slowly started coming out of their shells with much patience and the help of our dedicated cat socialization volunteers, suggesting they may become full of personality some day. Buttons and Oriel are easily startled cats, which leads us to believe they would do best in a low activity household with no other animals. Oriel is slightly more understanding and tolerant than her sister and enjoys head and back petting, while Buttons enjoys very gentle head petting but will certainly let you know when enough is enough with a hiss (don't take it personally, she's just sensitive!). They both enjoy the occasional wet food treat along with a secure place to hide filled with comfortable bedding, and while it isn't necessary, they would thrive if they had a room designated just for them! These lovely girls are in need of someone who has experience with cats that have complicated personalities; someone who is very patient, understanding, and isn't opposed to having a pair that enjoy their own space and aren't big on cuddling but enjoy having a caregiver to look out for them. If you're someone who is in need of two diamonds in the rough to keep you company, please consider applying for Buttons and Oriel today!

Story
&#239&#187&#191 Mia -  female DSH brown and white tabby with brilliant green eyes. She is approximately 2-3 years old. Mia is extremely content and relaxed. She is affectionate and very much enjoys being petted and having cheek rubs. This lovely girl quickly befriended a one year old foster cat, showing how adaptable & friendly she is. She would be happy with other cats or as a solo cat. Mia is looking for a calm home where she can be comfortable and loved lavishly.   All cats have been in a loving and safe foster home partnered with Friends For Life Animal Rescue. Each has been fixed, microchipped, tested for FIV and feline leukemia, is up to date on vaccinations and, per our policy, has been treated for potential ear mites, worms and fleas.   If you think you have room in your heart and home for this adorable cat, please contact Friends For Life Animal Rescue. (Laura @ 540-272-3506)  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All available animals are spayed or neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations, and treated for fleas, worms, and ear mites. All cats/kittens are tested for feline leukemia and feline AIDS. Some cats have been vaccinated for rabies. Adoption fees are cash or check only. April 24, 2024, 12:20 am

Story
Oscar and Rudy would love a home together. Despite their age differences they get along extremely well. It may be possible for them to be split up if the right home comes along, but they are very bonded. They play together, eat together and cuddle. They are both rowdy and high energy. A purrfect match and they are very entertaining and goofy.   Oscar and Rudy are both neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. They both use the litter box and will need an indoor only home per the adoption contract. A secure catio would be very beneficial for them though and a lot of cat posts to scratch on! Rudy is about a year and a half old. He is a little shy at first, but warms up quickly after a few pets and some treats. He LOVES to play, be picked up and cuddled and always wants to be with his buddy Oscar and his fosters. When he's happy he drools and has a super loud purr. Oscar is estimated to be 6-8 years old. He lived most of his life outside until recently and has been enjoying the comforts of being indoors and safe. Oscar is very friendly, social and loves to be pet. He gets along well with other cats as long as there is a slow and proper introduction although he does like to play rough. He can be a sassy dude occasionally and will let you know when he's had it! Because of this we don't recommend that he is in a home with small children. Having had to fend for himself outdoors for so long, he is not suited for a home with dogs.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All available animals are spayed or neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations, and treated for fleas, worms, and ear mites.
