Story
This sweet pup was adopted from North Shore Animal League America and is about one year old. He’s playful, loving, and full of life always ready for fun and affection. We’re looking for a home that can match his energy and give him the attention he deserves. He would do best in a home without very young children, where he can feel comfortable and thrive. He truly has a big heart and will make a wonderful companion for the right person or family.

Story
CAPE MAY COUNTY, NJ: Whoa, who’s that gorgeous light merle new cutie? It’s the playful and loving young Harlem! (previously known as Leonardo at the shelter, lovingly dubbed Harlem by his fosters) Sweet boy Harlem is only 1 year old and weighs 60 lbs. He has a rare light merle coloring that makes him stand out, but this good boy also has an outstanding personality! He is friendly and outgoing, greeting everyone he can – and climbing into laps if he can, too! Harlem is a sweet boy who does happy zoomies and enthusiastically plays with his toys. Harlem bonds deeply to his people and looks to them for comfort. Poor Harlem was originally found as a stray and although he suffered from kennel stress in the shelter, he was otherwise a very good boy. With how loving he is and how good at giving kisses, it is no wonder Harlem steals hearts wherever he goes! Harlem absolutely adores his fosters, wanting to be by their side and can tend to be a "velcro dog" so he is all about being your best friend! Being a young guy, Harlem has a higher energy level, so he loves to go for walks and play outside. He is dog friendly, currently living with multiple other dogs but will need proper intros, of course. Harlem is so excited to begin his second chance at life! Could that life be with you, as a loyal (and handsome) companion? Harlem is neutered, fully vetted, microchipped and ready to be adopted! Please contact AmsterDog at 917-689-8414 (text ok) or by e-mail at info@amsterdog.org. Apply to adopt dear Harlem at AmsterDog.org. Thanks for caring about a pet in need!

Story
Meet Woody! Woody is a 3-month- old, black and white 10-lb Catahoula Leopard mix who is VERY curious about his world and all that is in it! He's at the age where all he really wants to do is eat, play, and sleep, with play being paramount. Woody wants to be involved in everything, see who is playing with who/what and where. He's not afraid of getting into a wrestling match with his bigger siblings, he can hold his own! He will never be late for a meal; when the bowls hit the floor, he is THERE! Since he’s still a puppy, potty training is barely getting started. He and his littermates have access to pee pads, and hits them most of the time. He does like his down times to recharge his batteries, and he also loves to curl up with his siblings into a puppy pile! Woody is being fostered in Staten Island, NY and his adoption fee is $575. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Meet Danaus! Danaus is a 5 month old, 28 pound catahoula mix pup who is just the right amount of shy and sweet. He is currently working on basic commands and potty training, but he’s already fairly reliable on pad! Some of Danaus’s favorite things are chew toys, a nice sunny spot to lay in and snuggles with his people. If you’re look for a well-rounded pup who will be your best friend, then Danaus is your perfect match. Danaus is currently being fostered in Staten Island, NY. His adoption fee is $575. Story
Meet Coach! Coach is a 3-month-old Catahoula mix and one of the smaller pups in his litter—but don’t let his size fool you! He more than makes up for it with his big personality. Growing up with 10 siblings has taught him to hold his own, and he’s not one to be pushed around. Coach is playful, spunky, and always ready to jump into the action. Like any puppy his age, Coach is still learning his manners, but with a little time, patience, and consistency, he’s sure to grow into an amazing companion. He loves running around with his siblings, playing with toys, and engaging in a good wrestling match. When playtime winds down, he’s just as happy to entertain himself or settle in for some rest. Coach is currently working on house training and is using pee pads. With continued routine and guidance in a home environment, he should pick it up quickly. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, spirited pup with a whole lot of personality, Coach might just be your perfect match! Coach is currently being fostered in Staten Island, NY.
