You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Dolly is in the NJ area and looking for a new family! She was adopted through Wag On Inn a few years ago, but her family circumstances have changed and she needs a new home. Dolly is timid and can be anxious with new people but she is so sweet once you earn her trust. She is eager to please and loves attention.  She also loves belly rubs and snuggles. She is good on leash and in the car. She is also very smart and knows lots of commands. Dolly has been around kids her whole life and she is cat friendly! Dolly does have some resource guarding tendencies, so would do best with older kids. She does prefer to be the only dog in the home. Dolly has been fixed, microchipped and she is up to date on vaccines. Dolly does have some anxiety which is being managed with medication. Her adoption fee is $450.  How to Adopt Me! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Eden is a beautiful girl who is looking for a new home. She's currently with our rescue partner in Louisiana and can travel to NJ if we find her a foster or adopter.  Meet Eden — the queen of the wiggly butts!    She’s a 37-pound mystery mix (maybe heeler? corgi? dachshund? pure cuteness?) and fully grown in all her adorable glory. Eden’s house-trained, dog- and kid-approved, and ready to play her way right into your heart.  Cats? Depends on the cat — she’s got opinions. This little lovebug is special, sweet, and oh-so-ready for her forever home.  Eden is fixed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and just completed her heartworm treatment.  Her adoption fee is $450.    Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to  wag-on-inn.com . Story
Hi! I’m Evelyn — a five-month-old midsize mutt with short little legs, a stubby tail, and an oversized amount of charm. Seriously, people keep looking at me and going, “Awwww,” and honestly? I get it.I came here all the way from a shelter in Arkansas. I don’t really know how I ended up there, but I do know I’m lucky to have made the trip, because now I get to meet you.I’m sweet, cute, friendly, and eager to find the person (or people!) who will love me forever. I may not be tall, but my heart is huge — and my stubby tail wiggles fast enough to make up for anything I’m missing in height. If you’re looking for a happy, lovable little mutt to make your days brighter, I think I might be your girl.Come meet me? I’ll wiggle my tail at you.Evelyn is spayed, dewormed, microchipped and is up to date with vaccines. Her adoption fee is $500.00, plus $8.50 for the dog license if you are a resident of NYC. Evelyn will also get one free exam with one of our participating veterinarians within 30 days of her adoption. If you`d like to meet Evelyn please visit, we`re conveniently located in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn near the F train (Ft Hamilton Pkwy) and the B16 bus and we`re open daily for adoptions from 11am to 5:30pmEvelyn can`t wait to meet you!Sean Casey Animal Rescue153 E. 3 St.between Ft Hamilton Pkwy & Caton AveBrooklyn, NY 11218adoptions @nyanimalrescue.orgNYS Department of Agriculture and Markets Registration No. RR160

Story
CAPE MAY COUNTY, NJ: Whoa, who’s that gorgeous light merle new cutie? It’s the playful and loving young Harlem! (previously known as Leonardo at the shelter, lovingly dubbed Harlem by his fosters) Sweet boy Harlem is only 1 year old and weighs 60 lbs. He has a rare light merle coloring that makes him stand out, but this good boy also has an outstanding personality! He is friendly and outgoing, greeting everyone he can – and climbing into laps if he can, too! Harlem is a sweet boy who does happy zoomies and enthusiastically plays with his toys. Harlem bonds deeply to his people and looks to them for comfort. Poor Harlem was originally found as a stray and although he suffered from kennel stress in the shelter, he was otherwise a very good boy. With how loving he is and how good at giving kisses, it is no wonder Harlem steals hearts wherever he goes! Harlem absolutely adores his fosters, wanting to be by their side and can tend to be a "velcro dog" so he is all about being your best friend! Being a young guy, Harlem has a higher energy level, so he loves to go for walks and play outside. He is dog friendly, currently living with multiple other dogs but will need proper intros, of course. Harlem is so excited to begin his second chance at life! Could that life be with you, as a loyal (and handsome) companion? Harlem is neutered, fully vetted, microchipped and ready to be adopted! Please contact AmsterDog at 917-689-8414 (text ok) or by e-mail at info@amsterdog.org. Apply to adopt dear Harlem at AmsterDog.org. Thanks for caring about a pet in need!

Story
Champagne - 7 months & 30lbs (as of 1/29/26), Catahoula & Aussie Mix, Spayed Expected to be about 35 to 40lbs Full Grown  This puppy is eligible to join our foster-to-adopt program. Please email fostertoadopt@socialteesnyc.org with the animal’s name in the subject line if you are interested! Want to straight up adopt? Submit an adoption application at socialteesnyc.org Our Team Says: "This dog is so beautiful and charming in person. Her pictures do not do her justice. She's a wonderful adventure buddy and going to be a great size full grown for those city people who want a fun dog without it being giant." Their Foster Parent Says: "Champagne is an endlessly entertaining pup! She’s the best adventure buddy, and loves to explore the world and make friends with everyone. Champagne is incredibly intelligent (clearly an Aussie and Catahoula mix!!) and picks up new commands and signals very quick. She is still learning, but her responsiveness and attentiveness is impressive: she comes when called, looks and listens to me on walks, and always knows where I am when she’s free range. She gets incredibly excited when we visit her favorite place (the park) and needs to get her zoomies out before she’ll really walk nicely on leash. Sometimes her nose takes over but she will break focus if asked - though sometimes it may take a few asks! Champagne does best with an hour or more of exercise to start the day and would be a great running partner. She’s VERY fast for a little girl.Champagne also loves being at home and snuggles. She’s a true goofball - she wakes me up in the morning by army-crawling around the bed and squeaking. She loves to play (and shred) toys at home, though her true love is sticks. She’s a dream in the car and endures bath time with minimal complaints. Champagne definitely needs a lot of exercise otherwise she’ll invade your personal space or destroy her toys. Champagne will be the perfect girl for someone who can put in the time to train her and keep her mentally stimulated - otherwise she’ll outsmart you!" Level of dog ownership experience required:INTERMEDIATE – As an adult, this dog will need significant structure and plenty of daily exercise, training, and mental stimulation – 90 consecutive minutes of movement in the morning plus potty break walks and brain games throughout the day. The adopter must have relevant primary care experience with a similar breed, temperament, and/or energy level. (Primary care experience includes ownership, fostering, or dog sitting as an adult, not a dog you grew up with.) Relevant puppy care experience is a huge plus, but bare minimum the adopter must have TONS of time and patience. Raising a puppy can be a lot of fun, but it’s also  tremendous work. Puppies’ personalities and exercise/stimulation requirements change dramatically between now and when they’re a year old as their bodies and brains develop, so an active lifestyle and the ability to adapt to a pup’s evolving needs are a must. We strongly urge professional dog training with a rewards based trainer from the get go. Adults only or kids ages 8 and up – all puppies go through a mouthy, rambunctious phase and often accidentally hurt children when playing. PLEASE DO YOUR OWN BREED RESEARCH to make sure you have a better understanding of the kind of temperament and exercise requirements this dog may have as an adult. Energy level:MEDIUM TO HIGHER – Very young puppies sleep and nap a lot, but their energy level skyrockets when they become teens (4 months to around a year). As an adult, this dog will need significant structure and plenty of daily exercise, training, and mental stimulation – 90 consecutive minutes of movement in the morning plus potty break walks and brain games throughout the day at a minimum. (This is regardless of dog size – many small breeds were designed for lots of activity and will exhibit unwanted behavior when they’re understimulated.)  Champagne is a wonderful walker and runner. She loves to get outside and move her body.  TOLERANCE TO CITYCity pup – Seems unfazed by the sights and sounds, may as well have been born here. ***Champagne is very bombproof for a little girl. She is interested in sights, sounds, and smells, but rarely spooked. Her only quirk I have noticed so far is a fear of openings in the ground (basements, fire escapes under stores, subway grates). We’re working on it, and she generally is fine if she can sniff out the danger!POTTY TRAINING Yes – Few or no accidents ***She even asks to go outside when she has to go by waiting at the door!COMFORT LEVEL WITH STRANGERS Social butterfly – Wants to be friends with everyone who walks by, loves anyone who will stop to say hello. ***Can be spooked by large men in hoodies (understanable) but is fine if they speak to her. Otherwise she loves people but will also leave them alone if she’s busy doing other things. BEHAVIOR WITH CHILDREN (always requires adult supervision)We haven't had an opportunity to really interact with kids yet, but she seems really interested in saying hi on walks. Based on her interactions with other humans, I don’t think kids will be an issue as long as she keeps working on her mouthiness. SOCIAL BEHAVIOR WITH OTHER DOGSYes – Good with most other dogs (sizes, breeds, etc.) as far as we know and enjoys socializing with other canines.***Champagne loves other dogs! So far we have kept free play to mainly small dogs, but she loves chasing big dogs around when there is a big open space (showing off her herding skills!). She's been in a foster home with other dogs before and has done so well! Would do great in a home with another active dog. RESPECTFUL BEHAVIOR WITH OTHER ANIMALS (cats, small pets, etc.)Not sure – Wants to chase squirrels and birds so may not be a good match for a home with cats, rabbits, etc. ***Champagne seems to have a strong prey drive, given her interest in squirrels and birds, but will also redirect with a vocal command. She’s generally just frozen and stared at any cats we encounter outside. MOUTHY BEHAVIORWorking on it – Is respectful of hands, feet, etc. but likes to chew on things they’re not supposed to like shoes, furniture, etc. SEPARATION ANXIETY (Please leave your foster dog home alone every day for at least 20 minutes.)Adjusting – Might cry for a few minutes when you first leave the house but settles pretty quickly and has no problem being left alone otherwise. ***For more than 10 minutes alone, she should be crated. She knows where to go to find fun things to investigate (eat or chew or sniff) if left freely alone! She is crate trained and settles in the crate with minimal whining. LEASH MANNERSGetting the hang of it – Probably hasn’t been on a leash much in their life but figuring it out. Might be a mild puller but responds to correction. CUDDLE BUG LEVEL Medium – Likes to snuggle when she's in the mood but often stays in her own bed JUMPING ON PEOPLE TO SAY HELLOListens to correction – Only jumps on people they know when really excited, stops with correction.CRATE TRAININGYep/mostly – Seems comfortable in the crate, may whine a little at first but settles pretty quickly. We use the crate when we leave the pup alone and/or at night. **Champagne is only crated when left alone for extended periods of time. At night she either sleeps in her bed or in her human’s bed, no crate needed.  Medical status:Healthy for their age as far as we know. Up to date on their DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines; heartworm tested if coming from Tennessee or Puerto Rico; spayed/neutered; microchipped; treated with dewormer upon intake. Adopters will need to be ready for senior care – at a minimum, that will be annual checkups including senior bloodwork and a dental post adoption (most senior rescues need one). How did this dog end up with Social Tees? Most of our dogs come via partner groups who help us save them from shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia in Tennessee, Los Angeles, and Puerto Rico. There are very few spay/neuter resources there and many more animals in those areas than there are people to adopt them. Rescue groups like ours bring them to the northeast where the desire for pets like these allows us to save their lives.  PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee any breed mix, exact age, or full grown size (if the dog is under a year old). We do our best with very educated guesses. This animal is not at the Social Tees office, all are in foster homes. LEARN MORE ABOUT US: socialteesnyc.org and Instagram @socialteesnyc ##2645869##
