Story
Hello! Nice to meet you! My name is Latte; I’m a 5 year-old Catahoula mix, weighing about 100 pounds. I’m pretty true to my breed: sweet, intelligent, loyal and don't really like negotiating too much. I need exercise and stimulation - but once I get that I am a couch potato just wanting to be around my people. I love car rides (especially going to Starbucks and getting puppuccinos) ! I love long walks where I can explore (I'm not a huge fan of buses and Amazon trucks but I am working on that). My real favorites, however, are treats, belly rubs, and hugs. I'll even show you a few tricks (I know how to sit and shake) if you give me a treat! I walk with my dog friends all the time with no issues, but I love my people so much that I prefer to be the only pet in the home.  My trainer (yep… I’ve got a pro trainer!) says since I am a confident dog, and small quick movements don't scare me I would be great around kids! I would always like a meet and greet first of course. I’d like to be with someone experienced with my breed, and willing to give me a bit of time to let me show them just how great of a dog I really am! I just need to settle in, adjust and get to know and trust you -  but once I do… I’ll give you SO much love. Please give me that chance! I’m working hard in my training to be the best dog I can be for you. My trainer said that, as part of the training program, he’ll even continue to work with my forever family at no cost (as long as you live in the DFW area). He loves and trusts me that much!  I can't wait to meet you! If you feel your home might be the right place for this VERY good girl, start with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes vaccinations and spay/neuter. Latte is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.October 14, 2024, 10:13 pm

Lucy has completed a board and train and is ready to find her forever home! She knows how to place, sit, and lay down on command and also has great leash manners. She is potty trained and crate trained and loves to go on walks. She also does great with the other dogs in her foster home! Lucy can be a little timid and may bark when she first meets you, but is such a loyal and loving dog once she gets to know you. She just wants to be loved! Per Wisdom Panel Lucy is a 3 1/2 year old American Staffordshire Terrier/Catahoula Leopard Dog/Lab mix. Due to her breeds, no apartments please! If you are thinking about adopting a dog, please consider adopting Lucy! Applications can be submitted at www.rescuerowinc.org *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 2-4 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row):      Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee      Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##950302##

Story
**CONTACT OWNER AT terilminson@gmail.com **COURTESY LISTING** I am currently seeking to rehome my Catahoula dog, Ozzy Pawsbourne. He is an adorable 65 lb pup, approx 2 years old. He is a great dog, very playful and protective. Curious. Sweet demeanor. No problems at all. He is neutered, current on shots, crate trained, house trained and walks well on a leash. He likes to jump up playfully, and has knocked me down a few times. I've had 3 cervical spine surgeries, 2 being last year. I didn't realize his strength when I got him. Unfortunately, I am unable to keep him. My spinal condition will continue to worsen over time. Being knocked down is only going to make the matter worse. I have his crate, bed, toys and an unopened 44lb bag of food to bring with him. He loves riding in car, playing fetch, tug of war and frisbee. Does well with other dogs. Please help me find him a good, safe home.

Story
Roxi is a five-year-old Catahoula/Pit mix who weighs 66 Lbs. She was surrendered to a city shelter when her owner moved away and could not take her but she's now safe in foster care. Roxi loves meeting new people and would benefit from an active family since she has lots of energy. She's always up for adventures and belly rubs, loves chasing a tennis ball and learning new commands. Roxi loves going for walks and loves meeting new people. She is 100% house trained and excellent with kids of all ages.  She would do great in a home with male dogs her size or larger or as an only pet. She's not recommended in a home with cats, small dogs, or female dogs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. You can apply to meet/adopt her here:  https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-application/We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
OZZY IS A GREAT DOG! HAD HIM A MONTH. HE IS A RESCUE FROM A FRIEND THAT FOUND HIM WANDERING IN THE STREETS OF BURLESON. NO COLLAR. SUSPECT HE HAD BEEN DUMPED. NO CHIP. SHE GOT HIM FIXED AND CURRENT ON SHOTS. MY MALE CAT HAS BEEN DEPRESSED SINCE THE PASSING OF OUR OLD DOG, OTIS LAST YEAR, SO I THOUGHT A PUP IS JUST WHAT HE NEEDED. OZZY CAN NOT DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN A SQUIRREL, BUNNY AND CAT. HE APPROACHES CATS VERY AGRESSIVELY, IGNORING COMMANDS, CORNERING THEM. MY TWO 8 YEAR OLD CATS HAVE GONE INTO HIDING SINCE HE HAS BEEN HERE. WE DIDNT KNOW IF OZZY HAD EVER SEEN A CAT, AND IT HAS BECOME CLEAR HE HASNT. WE HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING AND NOTHING IS WORKING. GREAT DOG. CRATE TRAINED. HOUSE TRAINED. VERY PLAYFUL. LEASH TRAINED. TOO STRONG OF A DOG TO CONTROL WHEN IT COMES TO CATS. PLZ HELP! HE NEEDS NO CAT HOME ZONE ASAP. I HAVE HIS CRATE, BED, FOOD AND TOYS. VERY GOOD BOY. GREAT GUARD DOG. LOVES FETCH & FRISBEE. GREAT GUARD DOG. VERY SWEET. GENTLE GIANT. LOTS OF LOVIES TO GIVE.

Story
Bear is a two year old, 78 lb Catahoula mix, but breed mix is just our best guess. Bear's name fits him perfectly. He looks like a bear, acts silly like Yogi Bear, and is sweet and cuddly like a Teddy Bear. He is a regular visitor at Camp BowWow and loves playing with the other dogs. Bear is strong like a bear too, so he needs an adopter who can handle him on leash. His leash manners have improved a lot, and walking him on a harness is a must. Bear is potty and crate trained. He would love to sleep in bed with his people but is content to sleep on a soft dog bed in their room. We are recommending no kids under the age of 6, just due to Bear's size and strength. The first step to meeting Bear is to submit your application, and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.

These pups are in Pilot Point, Texas too!

Story
Hi, I’m Benny Bob! I’m a 10-month-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix weighing in at 32 pounds, and I’ve got just the right mix of brains, charm, and puppy energy. I get along great with dogs, cats and kids, and I’m learning my obedience skills like “sit” is already in my toolbox! I walk nicely beside you, love playing with toys, and I’m gentle, affectionate, and confident. I’m also super treat-motivated, which makes learning new things fun and easy. I’m a curious pup who enjoys attention and loves to be part of the action. Whether it’s a walk around the block or a quiet cuddle session, I’m all in.
