Story
Vincent is an 18-month-old Catahoula mix who weighs 56 lbs. He spent several months at a city shelter before being rescued by his foster family. He's now living the good life while he waits for his forever family. Vincent is full of energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm. He’s smart, playful, and thrives on interaction, making him a great match for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle and is ready to continue his training and development. Vincent does well with other dogs but can be a bit dominant with other males. He tends to prefer female canine companions and would do best in a home without cats. Vincent is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on his rabies, DAPPV, and Bordetella vaccinations. If you’re looking for a smart, energetic dog who will keep you on your toes and be your constant companion, Vincent may be the perfect match.  His adoption fee is $275 and you can apply to meet/adopt him here:  Adoption Application - Legacy Humane SocietyWe do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
**CONTACT OWNER AT terilminson@gmail.com **COURTESY LISTING** I am currently seeking to rehome my Catahoula dog, Ozzy Pawsbourne. He is an adorable 65 lb pup, approx 2 years old. He is a great dog, very playful and protective. Curious. Sweet demeanor. No problems at all. He is neutered, current on shots, crate trained, house trained and walks well on a leash. He likes to jump up playfully, and has knocked me down a few times. I've had 3 cervical spine surgeries, 2 being last year. I didn't realize his strength when I got him. Unfortunately, I am unable to keep him. My spinal condition will continue to worsen over time. Being knocked down is only going to make the matter worse. I have his crate, bed, toys and an unopened 44lb bag of food to bring with him. He loves riding in car, playing fetch, tug of war and frisbee. Does well with other dogs. Please help me find him a good, safe home.

Story
Meet Vincent – Your One-and-Only Adventure Buddy Vincent is an approximately 1-year-old Catahoula mix weighing 56 lbs who is ready to trade shelter life for a home of his own. After spending 173 days waiting as of 05/14/26, he's now one of our Diamond Dogs, but what he really wants is a family to call his own. This handsome boy has the looks that turn heads and a personality that keeps life fun. Vincent is still very much a puppy at heart- full of energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm. He's smart, playful, and thrives on interaction, making him a great match for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle and is ready to continue his training and development. Vincent does well with other dogs but can be a bit dominant with other males- he's truly a ladies' man and tends to prefer female canine companions. A meet and greet is always recommended to ensure the best fit. He would also do best in a home without cats. He was originally found near Corporate Crossing in Rockwall and, although microchipped, was never reclaimed. Since then, he's been patiently waiting for someone to see his potential- and he's more than ready to meet them. Vincent is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on his rabies, DAPPV, and Bordetella vaccinations. If you're looking for a smart, energetic dog who will keep you on your toes and be your constant companion, Vincent may be the perfect match. Because Vincent is in foster, an approved application is required for a meet and greet appointment. Apply to adopt: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. June 8, 2026, 7:20 pm

Story
Sofia is a playful puppy but also loves to cuddle. She has no idea what personal space is and just wants to be near a warm body. LOL! She will bark at noises but is not aggressive. She sits on command and is smart. Sofia will destroy anything she can pull into her crate, so for that reason, there is only a mattress inside a huge crate where she sleeps at night, if she is being left alone for short periods, a smaller crate is best. She loves toys and anything that breathes. LOL!
