Story
Beautiful boy Jack is approx 9 months old and currently weighs 40lbs. He appears to be a catahoula, shepherd, with maybe some heeler in the mix. He is a very active , social puppy so lots of jogging and hiking will be a must. He’ll have a great time meeting lots of people, too. He absolutely loves to run and wrestle with other dogs so a like size dog in the home would be best, although not required. He needs more training and structure but he’s very intelligent and learns quickly whatever it is you’re trying to teach him. Although he’s a high energy boy, he has a very silly, sweet temperament so he could be a great family dog with kids over 10yrs old. An active, experienced home is required. He must also have a 5ft or higher securely fenced yard. Here is some info from his foster dad: “Jack is a very smart boy and has great manners. He listens to commands very well and learns new commands very quickly. While he is very energetic, although he can be very calm throughout the day when in the house. He still should not be left unattended in the house outside of the crate because he is still a puppy. Jack likes to be around people and will follow you everywhere in the house. He also enjoys cuddles and pets. For the most part, Jack is potty trained in the house with exception to a couple accidents when getting too excited getting let out of the crate. He requires to be calm before being let out of the crate and has been getting better about not getting too excited when getting let out. He loves playing with other dogs” If you are interested in meeting this stunning super gregarious boy email info@k9rr.org and include your phone numberMarch 19, 2024, 10:29 am

Story
Hi, I’m Chica,Hey, I caught you looking at my profile, that makes me happy. I am ready for my new forever home. I live with several dogs and cats now. I get along with all of them, but it is time for me to be with my own family. I am a pretty strong and active dog, I walk well on a leash but sometimes when I see something interesting I can pull on the leash. I am working on it, but some things are just so tempting. I love to be active, so if you are into hiking, jogging, or playing fetch we would get along great. My foster mom says I am the sweetest dog, but she might be biased. I do like to have fun and play with the other dogs, and I am good when I meet new people too. I am good on car rides, like to go to the beach, and love to be around my family. I will need some training so I can be the best dog ever, so if you have a little patience it would be great. My ideal family will be active. I imagine us going for long walks and exploring new trails and sniffing all the great scents there. I imagine playing in the backyard with older kids and then settling down for a nice nap in a warm bed. Wow, I can’t wait. If that sounds like we could be a match, then just fill in the application and we can meet on a Zoom call.Lots of love to give,Chica To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Zoe! She is a beautiful, 1.5-year-old, 50 lb, Catahoula Leopard Dog mix who was surrendered by her owner as she could no longer keep her. She is a sweet girl who walks well on a leash, knows some basic commands, takes treats gently and is housetrained. She would love a home with an active family who will keep her physically exercised. She can be reactive with other dogs and needs to be the only dog in the home. She would love a home with a securely fenced yard in a suburban or rural neighborhood where she can run around and get her zoomies out or chill out and relax. Zoe’s throat was crushed in a crate door when she was a puppy and she needs to be walked using a harness, no collars or slip leads. Zoe is up to date on her vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $400.

Story
Meet Bubba! He is a 3 years old, 55 pound Catahoula leopard dog that has lots of fun energy. He loves making new friends with both people and dogs. Bubba has never been around cats but absolutely loves playing with kiddos of all ages. He has a lot of energy that he likes to get out by running, playing fetch, and lots of metal stimulating games. Once he has calmed down, he loves to be a very large lap-dog and will give you all the love and snuggles that you want. Bubba has had professional training and knows many commands. He is crate-trained and potty trained, as well. Bubba still gets excited on walks but does very well with the proper collar. He gets very excited to meet new people but once he gets to know them, he calms down and will find a happy spot to relax. Bubba does like to tell stories and bark. It would be nice for him to have a fenced yard to run around in and no attached neighbors in case he barks. He really likes to bark to tell you his life stories. Bubba will make an amazing addition to any family. He loves people and is one of the most happy dogs in the world. He is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. He is currently living in a home but is having to be surrendered/rehomed as his owner is no longer able to care for him. This is a courtesy post. If you are interested in meeting him, please complete an application.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Introducing Slate! He is a stunning, 1-year-old, 50lb Catahoula Leopard Dog/Husky mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Slate is an awesome dog! He walks well on leash and stays close to his handler. Slate is treat motivated, which is great for training purposes. He is also very friendly and extremely cuddly with his person. When you bend down, he just wants to be right in your arms! He is very attentive to his handler, but also very curious of his surroundings. He will make an amazing adventure companion for anyone who is outdoorsy or active. Slate has done will with other dogs in our care and would do great with another dog in the home or be fine as an only dog soaking up all the attention. He would love a home in a suburban or rural neighborhood with a securely fenced yard. No city life for him. He is overall a stunning, sweet, and very handsome boy! He is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.
