Story
Comet is wonderful. Looking to rehome him because my wife and I are unable to give him the attention / exercise he deserves. We have tried for 18 months after our twins were born and we can't make it work. Based on Seattle. Comet is 4 (Jan. 2024). He is a healthy, young, vibrant dog - Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. He is crate/house-trained, goofy, silly, smart, and stubborn. He has gone to a 3-week board and train program and knows place, down, heel, and sit. He responds really well to an e-collar and a prong collar for walking. He is not food possessive. He is good with our kids (2 babies and toddler), as long as they don't pull fur / corner him He will only give a small bark warning and then remove himself from the situation. He has not lived with cats before. He lives with our senior dog and they play regularly. He deserves daily exercise - one 30-60 minute walk or a short run (30 minutes) is great. He loves hiking. He doesn't like swimming in our experience.

Story
Comet is wonderful, but our family isn't able to give him the attention or exercise that he needs and deserves since we unexpectedly had twins in 2022. Comet is 4.5Y, 70lbs, healthy, goofy, smart, and loves people. He's crate, house, and leash trained. Comet went to a 3-week board and train program two years ago and knows all the fundamentals. He responds really well to verbal affirmation, e-collars (to minimize fence guarding in our backyard) and a prong collar for walking. He's not food possessive and tolerates our kids (18M twins and 3.5Y), giving a small warning growl or bark if they pull fur or corner/lay on him before removing himself from the situation. He lives with our senior dog and they play regularly and have never had significant issues. He's never lived with cats. Comet deserves daily exercise - one 30-60 minute walk or a short run (30 minutes) is great. He loves hiking. He doesn't like swimming and can be a bit fearful of new things.

Story
Darling Emma is not only beautiful, she is exceptionally gentle tempered. She appears to be about 6mo old and currently weighs 40lbs. We expect her to be about 50-60lbs when she’s full grown. Emma is a little timid, but she’s very eager to greet everyone she meets and put her head in their lap. She is a very curious girl that likes to take her time when on walks so she can leisurely explore all that is around her. She does still need a bit more leash training, but she is very smart and is learning quickly. With a little more confidence, she’ll be a wonderful hiking partner, too. Emma is such a kind hearted girl, she would be an excellent addition to a family with kids over 6yrs old. She is doing excellent with her crate training and with regular potty breaks, she’s doing great with her house training, too. She gets along so great with dogs of all sizes, it would be great if she had a king, confident dog in the home to play with and learn from. She gets along great with the kitties, too. Emma must have a securely fenced yard and because of her your age, she should not be left along for more that 5-6hr intervals.

Story
Meet Clint Barton! Introducing Clint Barton, a remarkable dog with a heart full of love and loyalty! Clint is crate trained and potty trained, making him an easy addition to your home. Clint is deaf, but that doesn't stop him from being a wonderful companion. He's learned to navigate the world in his own special way and is ready to share his unique perspective with a loving family. His resilience and adaptability are truly inspiring, and he responds well to visual cues and hand signals. Deaf dogs require some differences in their training, but in all, it's not that hard to have a deaf dog. He is learning basic obedience and can walk well on a leash- and he can learn so much more, especially hand commands. We've also been using a vibration collar to get his attention from far away, so he can run and play, but still come to you when needed. Clint is a bit shy with new people, sometimes so much so, his lanky legs shake until he gets to know you. Walks and treats are a the best way to make friends quickly. He just wants to know what you expect of him, so clear cues and communication are critical to making him feel comfortable and to increase his confidence. In all, Clint is a wonderful, young dog who has so much to give. He just needs someone to give him a chance! Clint is available for foster-to-adopt as well, so you can see how well he can fit into your world before you commit to adopt. This is a great way to overcome the initial fears and concerns about working with a deaf dog. As we do for all of our dogs, we are available for support and ongoing training to help get you start and stay on the right path to happiness! Clint Barton is UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and spayed/neutered. ADOPTION DONATION: $600.00. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs. All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and Martingale collar. Each dog also receives a "Tour Gear Bag" full of brochures, coupons, and supplies for your new pup!
