Story
We adopted Bo from a reputable breeder when he was a puppy in 2021, he will be 5 in September. He is up to date on all of his shots, goes to a groomer every 8 weeks, and is not neutered. He is a good/kind dog; well behaved, rarely barks, good with kids, and loves to be with us at all times. He is decent with other dogs; though we’ve never had another one in our home. To be transparent: He is an anxious dog and really struggles with us leaving the house due to me working from home and us not leaving often during the tail end of covid when we first got him. We now have 2 toddlers (with hopefully more on the way soon) and because of that, we are out of the house more than he deserves/likes, and we're all struggling with his constant need for attention. He needs more than we can give right now and though we all love him dearly, we don’t believe we’re the right family to do that anymore. We really want to find a family/person that will love on him and give him the attention he craves.

These pups are in Baltimore, Maryland too!

Story
Dakota is a sweet little gentleman with a heart as big as his adorable puppy-dog eyes. This 7-year-old poodle mix weighs just 8 pounds, making him the perfect-sized sidekick for someone looking for a loyal companion. With his soft light tan coat, darker tan accents, and tiny tail, Dakota is as cute as they come! Dakota is the definition of a “velcro dog.” He loves being close to his people, whether that means cuddling in your lap, following you from room to room, or happily soaking up ear scratches and chest rubs. He’s housebroken, walks well on a leash, and sleeps quietly in his crate through the night like a champ.Dakota is looking for a home that understands his sensitive side. He can become anxious when he can’t see his person, but he’s making progress with crate training and routines. He’s especially motivated by treats (the way to his heart!) and will happily cooperate for snacks and gentle encouragement. Dakota gets along well with other small dogs and is slowly learning that bigger dogs can be friends too. He’s also discovering how to play, especially if a ball is involved—although his version of “fetch” may end with him proudly chewing on the prize instead of returning it. He’s not a fan of car rides or brushing sessions, but with patience and love, this little guy blossoms into a devoted and affectionate companion. If you’d like to take this pupper home, please fill out an adoption application at this link – https://animalalliesrescue.org/dog-application. The adoption fee is $300 and covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on necessary vaccinations, including Rabies and DHLPP. They have also been tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases and have started heartworm and flea preventative medication. Some of our dogs have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they’re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!

Story
We adopted Ziggy in April and he is a wonderful, very special dog who we just adopted at the wrong time. We have 2 kids and a pregnancy and may have overestimated how much we can handle at once! Ziggy is about 1 year old, and has been very gentle and non-reactive with our kids. He is very attentive and food motivated so he is very trainable if you have the time to do it! He knows sit, lie down, and he is learning off (sofa), leave it, go lie down, stay. He still needs consistent training other basic manners. He does great on the leash though he does pull when he sees other dogs. When meeting other dogs on the leash he is bouncy and playful. He is a snuggle bug and also a great partner for nature walks. He loves playing fetch and gets the zoomies with a toy in our fenced yard. He is a gentle chewer on soft toys and goes to town on a good bone made for tougher chewing. He rests and sleeps quietly in his crate. He’s a special dog and I hope we can find a forever match for him!

Story
Meet Wemby — a goofy, lovable boy with a big personality and lots of love to give! He’s good with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around, though when the excitement gets going and another dog starts barking, he may try to hump them. He’s still learning his manners and will need continued guidance and structure as he matures. Wemby is also good with cats and does well sharing his space with feline friends. He may have a little food aggression, so feeding separately or giving him his own space during meals is recommended. His neuter should help with some of his marking behaviors, but right now he may still try to mark occasionally. This handsome boy is looking for a family that understands young dogs sometimes come with a few quirks, but also knows the reward of watching them grow into amazing companions. Wemby is sweet, fun, and ready for a forever home willing to continue helping him be his best self! Local adoption fee is $350(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)
