Story
Tizzy is a darling 4.5-month-old, 4.75-pound Chihuahua/Dachshund mix with a sweet heart, flopsy ears, and a quietly brave little soul. She absolutely lights up around other dogs and loves to play, explore, romp with her sisters, and work on a bully stick like it is her full-time career. Tizzy can be timid when approaching people, but once she feels safe, she becomes the sweetest little snuggler and will happily curl up on your chest or settle into your lap for a cozy nap. She is adventurous in new environments, confident around dogs, and surprisingly brave with stairs, sounds, tunnels, big dogs, and new experiences. She is crate trained and sleeps in her crate all night. Potty training is still in the beginning stages, so her forever family should be ready to continue patient, positive puppy training. Tizzy is good with dogs of all sizes, men, women, elderly folks, and considerate older kids. Cats and very young children are unknown. ➡️➡️➡️ ➡️➡️➡️ GO TO: www.pawsitiverestorations.com to learn more about our adoptable dogs, watch videos, and apply to adopt.

Story
Meet Thomas, a 4½-month-old Chihuahua/Terrier mix with enormous ears, a tiny body, and a heart that seems far too big to fit inside either. This sweet, affectionate little guy loves cuddling, shoulder snuggles, gentle kisses, exploring the house, solving treat puzzles, and carrying toys that are hilariously larger than he is. Thomas can be cautious when meeting new people or experiencing new situations, but he's making wonderful progress building confidence through positive experiences and encouragement. He gets along well with other dogs, enjoys a calmer lifestyle, and would thrive in a loving home where companionship, patience, and lap space are always available. If you're looking for a gentle little best friend who wants nothing more than to love and be loved, Thomas may be your perfect match. 💜🐾 ➡️➡️➡️ ➡️➡️➡️ GO TO: www.pawsitiverestorations.com to learn more about our adoptable dogs, watch videos, and apply to adopt.

Story
Meet Preacher, a 4-month-old, 10.4-pound Chihuahua mix with soulful eyes, hilarious little ears, and the sweetest joyful spirit. Preacher is playful, affectionate, goofy, cuddly, and deeply people-connected. He loves toys, fetch, zoomies, chasing his sister, snuffle mats, exploring outside, and sleeping on your lap after a good play session. Preacher is doing well with potty training and is about 90% there, though he still needs consistency as he continues learning. He knows “sit” for a tiny second before treat excitement turns him into a wiggly little celebration parade. He has done well with men, women, elderly folks, older considerate kids, dogs of all sizes, and cats. He has not been tested with children under 3. Preacher could do well with another playful dog or as an only dog with plenty of engagement, affection, structure, and enrichment. Preacher is a darling little soulmate in the making, ready for a family who will love his puppy joy, guide his growing confidence, and make permanent room for him on their lap. ➡️➡️➡️ GO TO: www.pawsitiverestorations.com to learn more about our adoptable dogs, watch videos, and apply to adopt.

Story
Meet Toodle, a 4.5-month-old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix whose giant ears are somehow only the second cutest thing about her. Weighing just 3.9 pounds, Toodle is packed with confidence, curiosity, affection, and enough personality for a dog ten times her size. This sweet-and-sassy little girl loves people, adores other dogs, seeks out cuddles, and wants to be involved in everything her humans are doing. She enjoys playing with her puppy sisters, exploring new adventures, and supervising all household activities with great seriousness. Toodle is still learning puppy basics like potty training, but she sleeps quietly in her pen overnight and is developing into a wonderful little companion. She could thrive as an only dog receiving lots of attention or with a playful canine sibling. If you're looking for a tiny best friend with a giant heart, endless enthusiasm, and the most spectacular ears you've ever seen, Toodle may be your girl. 💜 ➡️➡️➡️ ➡️➡️➡️ GO TO: www.pawsitiverestorations.com to learn more about our adoptable dogs, watch videos, and apply to adopt.

Story
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Vija #1 finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 72 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Vija | 2-Year-Old Chihuahua | Shy Girl Learning to Shine Vija is a 2-year-old, 11-pound brown Chihuahua who is on a beautiful journey from timid wallflower to affectionate companion. When she first arrived in foster care, she was extremely shy—so much so that she would cower in her crate and run away when approached. But with time, patience, and the confidence she gained from the other dogs in her foster home, Vija has truly started to blossom. She now welcomes gentle pets, allows herself to be held (on her terms), and will even paw at you for attention before rolling over to ask for her favorite thing: belly rubs. She’s a sweet, soft-natured girl who just needed a little time to feel saf. Vija has a medium energy level and loves running and playing in the yard with other dogs, especially smaller ones. She gets along very well with dogs and cats and takes a lot of comfort from canine companionship, so she will need a home with another friendly, confident dog. Vija also takes a lot of comfort and confidence from her sister, Arya. While the girls are not required to be adopted together, Vija certainly wouldn’t mind finding a home alongside her sister if the right family happened to fall in love with them both. Leashes are still very scary for Vija, so she has not been able to start walks yet. Because of this, she will require a securely fenced yard and a patient adopter willing to work on leash confidence slowly and gently. She is making progress with house training but still has occasional accidents. Vija is an easygoing, loving pup who does well when left home alone with other dogs and settles nicely after playtime. Due to her shy nature, she would do best in a calm home with older children or adults. With patience and love, Vija will reward her adopter with quiet affection and the joy of watching her confidence continue to grow.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $400. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . To ensure Tabasco #1 finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 72 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Tabasco | 5 month old Chi mix | Tiny dancer with a tender heart Tabasco is a 5-month-old Chihuahua mix weighing about 9 pounds. This sweet little guy came into foster care very scared and unsure of people, but with patience and consistency, he has already started making progress and showing more of his playful, affectionate personality. Right now, Tabasco is most comfortable approaching people on his own terms and can still get nervous when someone walks directly toward him or tries to catch him. Once he feels safe, though, he enjoys pets, affection, toys, and chewing bones. His foster describes him as a gentle, submissive puppy who simply needs time to continue building trust and confidence. He does wonderfully with other dogs and seems to gain confidence from having canine companions around. He has also done well with cats and will sometimes try to engage them in play. Because of this, Tabasco would likely thrive in a home with another friendly dog or with someone who works from home or is around often. Tabasco is still working on potty training and currently learning to use pee pads. Leashes are still very scary for him, so he has not yet started going on walks. Because of this, Tabasco will require a home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely go outside while continuing to build confidence. Apartment living is not be a good fit for him at this time. His foster is taking things slowly and focusing first on helping him feel safe and secure before introducing leash work and walks. He does very well when left home alone and has a medium energy level overall — happy to play with squeaky toys and rope toys before settling down to relax. One of Tabasco’s cutest habits is hiding his toys around the house, and he is also known for his adorable little dance moves. His ideal adopter will be patient, understanding, and willing to let him settle in at his own pace. With time, consistency, and love, Tabasco is going to make an incredibly loyal companion.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth.
