Story
Donny is a sweet, loving boy. I think he is about 13 years old but adopted him as an adult so I am not completely sure. I have had him since 2015. Donny was significantly traumatized when I adopted him and as much as I’ve tried to provide a safe, loving home for him, some of his issues with barking and territoriality towards specific other dogs and young kids seem to be getting worse as he ages and sadly I need to rehome him. Donny is great with older kids but gets easily overwhelmed with young, unpredictable children. He’s also good with cats and most other dogs. He screams when he is scared, which is often. It is loud. Not recommended for those who live in an apartment. Donny loves wearing clothes (hates being naked). He does not like long walks and would be a good dog for an adult/senior who is not very active and just wants a little snuggle buddy. He’s not very smart but is super sweet. He’s quite small at only 9 lbs. I would love to find him a calm, loving home to retire in.

Shelter visiting hours are 12 pm to 4 pm - Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays Please fill out an adoption application at mamcorescue.org or attend one of our Saturday adoption event. Events are held each Saturday from 12 pm to 5 pm at our office: 2721 W Oxford Ave., Suite 6 Englewood, CO 80110 *In order to protect our puppies, we do not allow puppies to attend open events until they have a minimum of two vaccinations. Puppies who are available, but not listed on our weekly Facebook event, are considered "deposit only" puppies. These puppies will only attend the event IF they are reserved through a deposit. You can check the list of puppies attending the open event by checking the event: https://www.facebook.com/MAMCORescue  At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need. The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. Unless otherwise stated, all of our dogs are mixed breeds. We never guarantee the size, breed, or temperment of any of our puppies.  ##2075217##

Story
0224039 - This tiny nugget is Sam. She’s approximately 4 years old and 7 pounds. Sam looks (and walks) like a chihuahua (mix). Sam is a little sweet pea but will need someone who is patient. Sam is very timid and has gradually gotten more comfortable while with us. She’s a great snuggler once she’s ready and will hang out on your lap as long as you will let her. She took some time to warm up but she’s good at existing with our 2 (much larger than her) dogs and our cat (also larger than her). Sam is very respectful to the other animals when eating and getting treats. She started showing interest in playing with the other 4 leggers but I think it’s just a matter of time before she really lets her hair down. This little girl will make a wonderful companion if you’re willing to give her time to come out of her shell. To adopt her please complete an application at www.sloppykisses.org/adoptions! ##1999482##

Story
Meet Duke, the heart-stealing, senior Chihuahua mix who's had quite the journey to find his forever sofa—er, home! This little guy is 16 years young and 18 lbs of pure love, with all of the spirit of a much younger pup (minus the puppy hassles.) Once he’s made himself at home, Duke’s house manners are impeccable — in fact, he’s a bit of a homebody and would prefer to chill on the couch with you than go out. He does enjoy a daily walk, and is a total PRO on a leash.     When it comes to socializing, Duke is a real charmer with a solid gold record with dogs, cats and humans. Oh, and while he's got no interest in guarding resources, he does have a bit of an obsession with his food bowl—and your proximity to it. He’s highly food motivated and extra responsive to vocal commands if there’s a treat involved.   Our boy isn’t much of a barker, but he’ll let you know if someone’s tiptoeing around the yard. And while he might not hear as well as he used to, that just means he's not bothered by loud noises—what a champ! Just a heads up: avoid touching his feet; he's not a fan.   Energy-wise, Duke's all about the easy life. A stroll in the yard or a short walk will do, and then it’s straight back to snuggling up.    The ideal home for Duke? He needs an adult human who's more into relaxing than running and who appreciates the finer, quieter moments in life. While a companion dog isn’t necessary, having someone around most of the time is essential for him. Preferably no - or minimal - stairs.   Ready to let this lovable gentleman into your heart and home? Story
Meet Miranda! She's a delightful 4-year-old Chihuahua mix who forms a deep bond with her chosen human companion. Miranda is not just adorable but also well-behaved; she's potty trained and has a good tolerance for her crate. What she loves most in the world is being close to you and basking in your snuggles. Miranda is highly food motivated, which makes teaching her basic commands a breeze. She's eager to please and aims to make you happy. While she may be initially hesitant around new people and kids, given time and trust, she opens up to reveal her sweet and affectionate nature.  Miranda could thrive as a companion for a single adult, but she also has the potential to be a wonderful addition to a larger family with older children. She's up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. Don't miss the chance to meet Miranda and experience the joy she can bring to your life! Apply to meet her today. Story
See that girl, watch her preen, Annie’s our prancing queen!!!  Meet Annie a 2 year old chihuahua mix. Annie is a joyful noodle girl who loves to play. Annie seems to be learning what it is like to live in a house with human friends for the first time. She has mastered snuggling on the couch, playing with her foster brother and how squeaky toys work. She knows sit and is working on her leash skills and potty training, this girl will have it down in no time! Annie is gaining confidence day by day but new people and city noises are still a little scary.  Annie loves hanging out with her small foster brother and would do great in a home with or without another small pup. Annie is still learning how to show affection to her human friends, so she would be best in a house with no or older children. She is such a sweet pup who is so ready to be loved. Reach out to meet Annie the prancing queen today!  Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##2101798##

Story
Name: Robert Breed: Chihuahua / Pug Mix Sex: Neutered Male Age: 2 years Weight: 9 lbs Needs Experienced Adopter Good with dogs? Yes! With a proper, slow introduction, he absolutely thrives with a social, confident companion. Good with cats? Not Tested Good with kids? No, children 12+ only Energy level: Low, as long as he has another dog to bounce off of! He is a polite leash walker, keeps himself busy with chew and/or squeak toys and rawhide sticks, and sleeps very soundly. Behavioral needs: Robert needs a patient adopter who can read his vocal and physical cues, be devoted to his training and socialization, and make sure he has space when he’s around unfamiliar humans. He needs toys that are appropriate to chew. He is crate trained for overnight sleep, is working on potty training and does mark on some furniture and carpeting. Animal Characteristics: Robert is reserved, timid and will be most comfortable in a quiet, peaceful environment where he has consistent canine companionship, human supervision and access to a closed yard where he can frolic, snooze and soak up sunshine. He generally prefers canine over human interaction, but will joyfully accept petting, belly rubs and being held after he sees a trusted companion dog seek out human love, or when prompted with treats or toys. Robert is darling, spunky, clumsy and endearing. Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at www.pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. You can also contact my friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org if you have questions. I look forward to meeting you!
