Story
Hi there, I’m Chief! I’m a tiny Chihuahua/Terrier mix trying to navigate this big, exciting, sometimes-spooky world. I may be small, but I’ve got a huge love for one thing… blankets. If you give me a soft blankie and a toy to cuddle, I’m the happiest little guy around. I’m proud to say I seem to have this whole potty-training thing down, and I sleep soundly through the night! I’m still learning how to walk on a leash and explore new places—new things can be a little scary for me—but I’m trying my best. I haven't had the chance to meet too many dogs yet since I was recovering from Kennel cough but when they walk by, I don’t mind them at all. What I’m really looking for is someone with patience, kindness, and a big heart—someone who will let me slowly come out of my shell and show the world who I really am. I might be timid right now, but with the right family, I know I’ll shine. If you think you’ve got room in your heart (and lots of blankies!) for a sweet little guy like me, I’d love to come home with you. ##2602492##

Story
Bella is an approx 2 y/o 10# Chiweenie who was found as a stray in a small rural TX town. No one came in to claim her and she was very frightened at the shelter. She's now in a foster home in CO and is coming out of her shell. She loves to be near her person/people, sit on your lap, and sleep under the covers in the big bed. Bella now loves to play with other dogs but can get snarky if she doesn’t get to be the boss. Bella has a difficult time sharing so we are looking to place her in a home where she is the only dog or with a laid back dog who doesn’t care about her bossiness. Bella needs a secure 6 ft fenced yard as she will be a flight risk for awhile and humans who can take her out frequently. She is potty trained and crate trained. She enjoys walks and is good on the leash but will bark at people, other dogs and unfamiliar things. She had made a lot of progress with her fear barking on walks and will need her new owner to continue with her reward based training. She'd do best with someone (she prefers women over men) home during the day and no small children. She hasn't been overly barky indoors. She was curious about cats but we're not sure how should be be living with them. If interested in meeting Bella, complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms as the first step. We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home including pets. Bella is spayed, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. Her adoption fee is $375 and we are not doing any out of state adoptions.November 2, 2024, 3:49 pm

Story
Cider and her siblings came from a New Mexico shelter who thought their mom might be a corgi mix.  While we are unsure of their parentage as they all have long legs, we couldn’t leave them behind. Our best guess is that there is some chihuahua and terrier in the mix.  She is about 10 weeks old and 7lbs, so we believe she will be small to medium when full grown. Cider has beautiful green eyes. She looks to her siblings and other dogs in the home for reassurance when meeting new people or experiencing new things. But she is quick to warm up and very affectionate. Cider is working on her potty training, and does well sleeping in a pen at night. She likes to invite her siblings to play by bouncing up to them with both paws in the air. She would love to have another dog in her forever home. If you’re interested in meeting Cider the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home.  She will be spayed, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines.  Her adoption fee is $400, and we are not adopting outside of Colorado.December 10, 2025, 12:47 pm

Story
Marnie is a gorgeous girl with a spring in her step despite her difficult background. Originally discovered wandering the streets scavenging for food, Marnie was brought into a loving home. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances the wonderful people who took her in are now themselves between homes and are unable to properly care for this lovely lady. Now Marnie is currently being fostered and showered with love, but she still needs to find her final forever home! Marnie may be getting on in years, but you'd never be able to tell! Marnie can usually be seen on her hind legs looking for a cuddle and a kiss, and she can even make her way onto your bed for a nice nap without any assistance. Despite her seemingly endless energy Marnie just wants to be loved and to cuddle up - she is perfectly content wherever her main human is. Marnie could do with a little refresher on her leash etiquette, but she isn't one to pull. Unfortunately due to some poor encounters with off-leash dogs Marnie can be tense when meeting new dogs - she isn't aggressive, but would do best in a home where she can have some time to herself (and for hugs from her human!) Are you able to give Marnie her final forever home and a life filled with love? Please contact us!
