Story
Belladonna is a young adult female chihuahua who weighs approximately 6 lbs. She is smart and loves a lap but is very shy initially. She needs patience and a loving chi person to call her own. She gets along well with other chis but is afraid of big dogs and is unsure of cats. She is sweet and uses her potty pads and loves her food time and treats. She is learning the world is not so scary. Bella, like other dogs just needs more socialization and trust built. Once this is done she blossoms. She is a loving sweet girl. She is not guarding nor is she needy. She is happy to be in her safe bed or in the comfort of her den/kennel.    ##2046984##

Story
I'm a sweet, affectionate little girl. My history is unknown to the rescue, but I'm fearful of new people. It's believed that I came from a hoarding situation in NM. I'm a one or two person kinda of dog. It takes some time from me to trust new people. It's best if they let me go at my own pace when being introduced. I don't prefer men or women, just whoever I feel safe with. I would do best in a home without young children or a lot of activity.  I LOVE car rides. I'd really like a home with other dogs to play with and cuddle.  At night, I sleep with my foster mom and the other dogs. I don't like to be left alone and I'm pretty vocal when my foster mom leaves without me, so apartment living wouldn't be ideal. I love to do whatever my foster mom is doing... Cuddles, naps, walks, house work, car rides... I love it all! I'm house trained and well behaved. If I need to potty, but can't get outside, I will use a pee pad 100% of the time. I'm good with cats, but I like to chase them if they run. I'm a unique gal looking for my perfect home with a patient family. ##1999439##

Story
Oscar is a sweet little guy that loves to be around his people.  He loves to play with is foster siblings and knows his boundaries around the old dog that prefers not to play.  He does well with dogs of all sizes, but is a little nervous at first with the larger dogs until he gets know them.  He walks pretty good on the leash but is leash reactive when he sees  people and other dogs, so we are working on improving those experiences. He does like his people around and will whine (sometimes barks) when they first leave but settles down quickly. He is learning that his crate is a safe place to relax and hangout. He has not been around children. Since he is nervous at first meeting new people, recommend old children that know Oscar may need his space when he first moves in. He does well with dogs and cats.  He is potty trained. He is a sweet little guy that would live to play with you. ##1914957##

Story
Ready to hear how awesome little Sancho, aka Squanch/Squancho is? From the day he came into my home and out of his high-kill shelter, this boy hates to potty inside. He'll use potty pads if he has to, but he makes sure his voice is heard when he needs to go out. I was amazed by this since he is so young AND a small breed (if you know small breeds, you know how hard they can be to potty train!) In our home, he lives with 3 adult cats, 5 kittens, another adult small breed dog, and a chinchilla. He LOVES the kittens and they tolerate him well and love to chase each other around. He has learned boundaries with our senior kitty and knows not to mess with him. He has been a little slower learning boundaries with my small adult dog (because my dog is a grouch) but they do run around and play together well in the yard, just not in the house. He met my friend's 75 lb pittie and was obsessed with her within 5 mins of warming up to each other. Bottom line, this dude would absolutely thrive in a home where he has some type of playmate to help him get his energy out. He does AMAZING in the crate. He is crated each night for 7-9 hours (we take him out as soon as we hear him whine in the AM). He is also crated when we're at work, or when he starts getting a little crazy (...think, over-tired toddler) so we crate him and cover the crate with a sheet and won't hear a peep for hours! He plays hard and fast but quickly settles in his kennel and goes to sleep. He is currently starting the teething process, which I know is one of the hardest puppy phases to deal with. My simple solution is to always have a toy nearby to put in his mouth. He is so easily corrected; positive reinforcement and distraction will help him become the most perfect little dog. He doesn't go crazy for treats or food, but he does love every toy and ball he's met. He is learning to fetch, we're just working on getting him to bring it back instead of running into the bushes. His favorite treat is cat poop, but we have quickly nipped that craving and only occasionally need to get on him for trying to stick his head into one of the litter boxes. I can honestly say that Sancho sells himself. He is smart. His recall is great for his age. He is potty trained. He is playful when it's appropriate, and he is calm and quiet when needed. He is simply amazing and it's so rare to see a pup so young with his nature. ##2046864##

Story
Renny name means small and mighty which truly fits. She is a very curious, spunky, stubborn, vocal, and fearless pup. Renny is very a smart girl but very much a puppy exploring everything which means climbing, tasting and getting into things she should not be.  She is pretty much potty trained but still needs to be taken out as she gets playing and forgets.  Renny is not a pup to be in a condo or townhouse she is too vocal.  She would love to have a friend to play with big or small but one who can play hard. Currently, she lives with a 15-pound terrier and 45-pound Aussie mix.  A yard is a must as she loves to be out chasing squirrels, and birds and lying in the sun.  After all the playing and she is tired from the day she will curl up next to you on the couch and give you lots of love. Renny is one amazing pup. If you would like more information please complete an application at eapl.com and Renny's foster mom can give you a call and discuss.  Her adoption fee is $375 June 15, 2024, 11:19 pm
