Hi, Thank you for your inquiry. Lily's bio is attached Please complete an adoption application at www.rescuepetsinc.com/adopt Lily came to us from a hoarding case. She is not comfortable with loud sounds or fast movement. She will need a patient and gentle owner who is willing to work with her on potty training and socializing. She uses potty pads at this time and is very comfortable in her crate. Lily needs a quiet home with a securely fenced yard and no children. Due to the overwhelming number of inquiries and messages, we do not have the ability to respond to each and every one of them. Story
Precious and Blondie are 12 year old ladies that are looking for a quiet home to live out their golden years. They recently lost their owner and are doing their best to adjust to all the confusion.  They are new to our group and we are super excited to learn all about them. If interested in hearing more, please fill out an application to meet them. We will be adopting them together.  We do not have a facility for you to visit.  WE PROCESS APPLICANTS AND SET APPOINTMENTS BASED ON THE ORDER APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED , so while you are welcome to email  ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, you will want to complete the  ONLINE APPLICATION ASAP ,  which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find  a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10 day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fee is $220 for adults, $295 for puppies (under 6 months), and $150 for seniors (8 yrs and up) which covers the cost of the spay/neuter, age appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. The majority of dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers, so there is often very little known about their history or even current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC provides a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, as well as telephone support.   April 19, 2024, 3:50 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Hi everyone!  My name is Memo (pronounced Mee-Moe). I was found wandering the cold streets of Detroit and I really hope to find a nice comfortable home soon! I was really scared at first, but after a couple of days in my foster home, I was able to open up and start enjoying life. I have long legs, so I am really good at running. I love walks and exploring in the yard. I need slow introductions to other dogs and may be picky. I have ignored cats that I've met at adoption events but may like to chase. I am very sweet and affectionate, and I like to give kisses. I am vaccinated and neutered. I do have an issue with my eyes that will likely be lifelong. My eyes don't make tears so I will likely require eye drops lifelong, and several times a day. If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. April 19, 2024, 6:04 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Watermelon is a very sweet estimated to be around 5-year-old Chihuahua searching for her forever home. She was rescued from a hoarding situation where she lived with over 60 other Chihuahuas. Watermelon is very shy and fearful like many of the others in the home. Watermelon would enjoy a quiet home where she can be loved the way she deserves to be. Watermelon would prefer a home without children. She has been fostered in a home with other dogs of various sizes and has had no issues. She will require a physical fenced yard as she has a tendency to be a flight risk out of fear. Watermelon is not potty trained but does use potty pads and is doing well with them, with consistent training she could become housetrained without the need of potty pads. Chihuahuas are very loyal and devoted and can become great companions when comfortable with you. Watermelon will take time to warm up and will need help learning how to be a “dog” but in the end shows great potential! If Watermelon sounds like the girl for you please submit an application!
