We will be adopting them together.  We do not have a facility for you to visit.  WE PROCESS APPLICANTS AND SET APPOINTMENTS BASED ON THE ORDER APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED , so while you are welcome to email  ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, you will want to complete the  ONLINE APPLICATION ASAP ,  which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find  a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10 day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fee is $220 for adults, $295 for puppies (under 6 months), and $150 for seniors (8 yrs and up) which covers the cost of the spay/neuter, age appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry. MEET EMMY LOU: Emmy Lou is a precious 4-month-old, 11-pound short hair Chihuahua who has endured a challenging start to life. Emmy Lou was rescued from a hoarding situation where she lived among over 50 Chihuahuas in the home of an 84-year-old woman. As a result, she is still quite shy and learning to trust. Emmy Lou is at a crucial age where she can still learn and grow with the right guidance. She has already experienced significant changes, and she now needs a quiet and patient home where she can continue to build her confidence. Due to her timid nature, it is best for Emmy Lou to be in a household without young children. Additionally, she will require a physical fenced yard as she has not yet learned proper leash manners. In her previous environment, Emmy Lou was not given the opportunity to go outside to relieve herself. However, she appears to be potty pad trained and may need further reinforcement. With consistent training and positive reinforcement, she can learn to go outside to do her business. Emmy Lou has had a positive experience with a cat, showing that she may be able to peacefully coexist with other animals. However, due to her background, she will need a patient family who understands the struggles she has faced. It is important to provide her with a decompression period and allow her to adjust at her own pace. At her young age, Emmy Lou is still discovering the world around her and may not be familiar with toys. She is not particularly food motivated, but with loving guidance, she may learn to enjoy playtime and develop new interests. When she feels scared or overwhelmed, Emmy Lou may run and hide, but it is crucial to note that she is not aggressive. Although it may take a little time for Emmy Lou to warm up to new people, she desires love and affection just like any other dog. With patience and understanding, she will become a loyal, devoted companion. Emmy Lou's journey has been challenging, but her resilient spirit shines through, and she is ready to start a new chapter in her life with a family who will support and cherish her. If you have a quiet and understanding home, and are willing to provide Emmy Lou with the time she needs to trust, she will reward you with unwavering love and devotion. Gemma was rescued from a hoarding situation where she lived with over 50 Chihuahuas in the home of an 84-year-old woman. As a result, Gemma is shy and has experienced a significant amount of change in her life. She is still getting familiar with car rides, she gets a upset tummy when riding in cars. Gemma is looking for a quiet home where she can feel safe and secure. Due to her timid nature, it is recommended that she be placed in a home without young children. Additionally, Gemma will require a physical fenced yard as she currently has no leash manners. In her previous situation, she was not given the opportunity to go outside to relieve herself, so she may be more familiar with potty pads. However, with patience and consistent training, Gemma has started to go outside in a fenced in area, where she likes to explore the surroundings and learning to be house trained.  It is important to note that Gemma will need a patient family who can give her time to decompress from her past experiences. This resilient pup will thrive with understanding owners who can empathize with the struggles she has faced. Gemma is still adjusting to her new life but she is starting to enjoy playing with toys.  Unlike other dogs who are motivated by most treats, Gemma is mostly motivated by small pieces of chicken.  Gemma's journey has been tough, but she is ready to start a new chapter in her life with a family who can give her the love and support she deserves. It may take a moment for Gemma to warm up, but with patience and understanding, she will make a loyal and devoted companion.
