🩷 Rescue Story Lina was rescued just before euthanasia from "Jeongeup Shelter" in South Korea. Thanks to timely intervention, she was given a second chance at life and moved into foster care, where her bright and affectionate personality has truly blossomed. 🌿 Temperament & Behavior Lina is friendly and social. On walks, she shows curiosity toward other dogs and cats, but when she meets a cat, she simply sniffs briefly and walks away calmly. She gets along well with other dogs and can live in a multi-dog household. She may show a bit of jealousy at times, as many girls do, but she has never shown aggression or biting behavior. She is extremely affectionate and loves attention. She is friendly with all people, though she is especially drawn to women and seems to have a soft spot for women in their 50s. 🚶 Walking & Daily Life Lina enjoys leisurely walks with plenty of time to sniff and explore. She is always walked using a double leash for safety. Her shedding level is moderate to slightly high, about 6 out of 10. She is not picky with food and is fed high-quality kibble. Her regular diet includes Acana Free-Run Duck or Blue Buffalo Salmon. Treats are given sparingly, about once a week. 🏡 Habits & Training Lina primarily does her potty outdoors. She goes on walks in the morning and evening, ranging from one hour to sometimes up to two hours. She does well with baths. While brushing hasn’t been necessary due to her coat type, she enjoys being touched and handled. She does not show separation anxiety. When her foster returns home, she simply greets them happily with tail wags and no destructive behavior. She barks only occasionally—once when she is in a great mood, or briefly in response to loud motorcycle delivery noises. She may experience mild motion sickness on longer car rides, such as trips to nearby camping areas, but she has never vomited. 💛 Likes & Personality Lina loves walking side by side with her foster mom and truly enjoys greeting and meeting her dog friends. While having heartworm treatment in a clinic, Mallow moved into his foster home in July 2024. Now, he’s ready to find his forever family! • Personality: Calm, Sweet, Shy Mallow needs a little time and space to feel comfortable, but once he does, he’ll open up beautifully. It may take patience, but winning his heart will be one of the most rewarding experiences ever! He is such a loyal cuddle bug! • Affinity with -Cats: Not interested in cats on walks -Dogs: a huge dog-lover! Very friendly with other dogs regardless of size. He would adjust better in a home with another dog! -Adults/Kids: Good with adults. / Not a fan of kids - he would be the best fit in a home without children. • Housetrained: Fully housebroken, using pee pads indoors and going potty outdoors both. • Walking Manner: Very good on a leash! Meet Maximus!!!! He is quite the combination of Chihuahua and Pomeranian. Two of the most opinionated breeds around. Maximus is about 7 years old and has a personality all his own. He is only for experienced Chihuahua or small breed owners. Maximus is just like many of your typical small breeds. Once he knows you, he loves you. He is extremely cute and food motivated which helps in winning him over. Maximus must go into an adult only home with very minimal access to children. He does not do well with commotion, loud noises or anyone rushing up to him. All the things children like to do. His ideal home is a retired couple or individual that can devote time and energy to his needs. Being a semi-senior he does not require extensive exercise or stimulation. Tippy is a five pound bundle of love. She is about 8 years old. Tippy was surrendered to us when her owner passed away and her family could no longer care for her. Right before she entered our care, she jumped off of something that was too high for her and she broke her paw. Tippy has completely healed now and she is back to being able to run and play as usual. We have taught Tippy not to jump off of things and to use steps if necessary to get down from higher places. She is so smart and a quick learner. We do not have her go up and down flights of stairs simply because we do not want her to put consistent pressure on her joints or tiny bones. That's fine by Tippy because her favorite place is to be in her foster mom's arms. Tippy was adopted recently, but returned about 6 weeks later. While Tippy is super loving and sweet, she has what we consider a typical Chihuahua personality. She will nip and bite if she is scared or challenged at times. It proved to be too much for her adoptive family and as heartbroken as they were, they did not feel that they could manage Tippy's behavior. We completely understood and Tippy is back with her foster family. She acclimated back into her foster home without any issues. She proved to be the same sweet and sassy girl that she was when she left her foster home. She fell right back into her foster home routines. Tippy spends her time between two foster homes. In one home, Tippy has a little more freedom. She has a large space to roam, but we do not allow her to go up and down stairs (as we stated before). She is with one person in this home and there are no other pets. She loves the low-key life in this foster home. Sometimes Tippy also spends time in another foster home, In this home, there are other dogs that live with her. While Tippy does not mind the company of the other dogs, she does not like when they get too excited. We believe she would do best as an only pet or she would be fine living with another dog or cat that is super chill and tolerant of her big personality. In this home there are also multiple people. Tippy is a typical Chihuahua. She will attach herself to one person and want to be with them. She doesn't mind the other people in the household, but she definitely wants "her person" when that person is home. Tippy is crate trained, but in both homes she has a pen that she sleeps in at night. She sleeps through the night in her pen which is in the bedroom where her foster mom sleeps. She does have a large crate that she stays in in one foster home when her foster mom is away; in the other home she has a larger pen that she stays in. Because of Tippy's size and personality, we are looking for an experienced Chihuahua owner without children. Older teenagers may be okay as long as they will respect Tippy's space when she needs it. Tippy has had so much change in her little life the last few months. She has adjusted so well in each situation, but it's time for Tippy to find her forever home. She needs a Chihuahua savvy family who will understand what she wants or needs. She gives clear signals when she is scared and/or unhappy. Tippy is completely house trained! Which is amazing for a small dog! LOL! Tippy is wee-wee pad trained as well, but usually will do her business outside. She rarely uses her wee wee pad, but we do keep one in her pen for her. She is very clean and neat. She will need a little patience at first when meeting a new person. She can be a little shy. It doesn't take too long for her to understand that you are her friend. Tippy loves to go for walks outside. She also enjoys a good game of fetch. She is spunky, sassy, and sweet and cuddly all in one. After receiving proper medical care, including successful heartworm treatment, he moved into a foster home, where he has been adjusting well and showing his bright, cheerful personality. 🌿 Temperament & Behavior Kobi gets along extremely well with other dogs. He is playful, curious, and loves running and playing with his dog friends, making him a great fit for a multi-dog household. He is friendly with both adults and children and enjoys human company. His compatibility with cats has not been tested. 🚶 Walking & Daily Life Kobi is always excited and happy when going on walks and generally walks well on leash. His shedding level is moderate to slightly high due to his double coat, around 6 out of 10. He has no known food allergies. Recently, treats have been limited, and he eats better when a small amount of canned food is mixed with his kibble to help with healthy weight gain. 🏡 Habits & Training Kobi uses indoor pee pads consistently. He initially showed some marking behavior, but after a short period of wearing diapers, there have been no further marking accidents indoors. Morning walks are short (about 20 minutes) for quick potty breaks before work, while evening walks last over an hour at an open field where he completes all bathroom needs. He tolerates baths and brushing well. He may wiggle when his paws are handled, but ultimately cooperates. He has no separation anxiety. After his foster leaves for work, Kobi plays with his toys for a while, naps, and waits calmly. He does not bark and rides very well in the car with no motion sickness. 💛 Likes & Personality Kobi loves treats, toys, and especially playing with other dogs. Even when treats are involved, he is highly people-oriented and happily follows from one person to another to stay close. He has no strong dislikes and is generally an easygoing companion. Meet Cherry — The Mama Dog Who’s All Heart 🐶 2 years old | Spayed Female | Mixed Breed | 24 lbs Cherry was rescued from the "Gurye County Shelter in South Korea" together with her puppies. While all of her puppies were adopted, Cherry was left behind and spent several months alone at the shelter. She was later moved into a foster home, where she has been adjusting well and showing her true personality. Cherry is friendly and social with both adults and children. She loves being around other dogs and enjoys playtime, but because she has a good amount of energy, very small dogs or senior dogs may find it a bit hard to keep up with her. Her compatibility with cats has not yet been tested. She walks well on leash with only slight pulling and shows little reaction to other dogs while walking. Her shedding level is moderate (about 4 out of 10). Cherry has no food allergies and is not a picky eater. For potty habits, she uses pee pads indoors (carpets should be avoided during the adjustment period) and prefers outdoor potty walks. She has mild separation anxiety and may bark during play or when she encounters unfamiliar objects. Cherry loves walks, affectionate kisses, and mealtime. She is not fond of car rides due to motion sickness, and hands raised above her head can make her feel nervous. Cherry is currently living in a foster home.
