Story
This is Bootsie, a 9-year-old sweetheart looking for her forever home. She’s house trained, leash-ready, and loves affection from her favorite people.  Bootsie does well with other dogs who are not confrontational.   She is very food motivated.  She weighs just under 20lbs.  Bootsie has some sensitivity around being handled — she’s not comfortable being picked up or touched on her back and sides — so she’s best suited for an adult-only home and having a fenced in yard would be best for her to go in and out on her own.  When she does need to be handled beyond what she’s comfortable with, her foster slips on a small muzzle and is able to handle her without her acting out.  We are continuing to work with her to get her more comfortable around being handled. With patience and understanding, she’ll reward her forever family with endless loyalty. Bootsie has a small lump on her shoulder that has already been checked out by the vet — it's benign (non-cancerous). We're keeping an eye on it as a routine precaution and to monitor for any changes. Bootsie is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, and current on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. Bootsie's adoption fee is $150. Interested in adopting Bootsie? Story
We are new grandparents, and we find ourselves babysitting more than expected, and caring for Daisy has become problematic. She is a good tempered dog, but we tried rehousing her to another home to keep a companion dog company, but Daisy isn’t good with other dogs. She will use a doggy door to go outside for her business, but without a doggie door, she can hit her pee pad about 80% of the time. She is older, but loves to cuddle and just be by your side. If she has a fenced backyard, she will be good to go. She doesn’t dig or chew.

Story
Sadie is about 13 years old. I believe she is a chihuahua-pug mix, perhaps also with some beagle & other breeds. Sadie loves people and is happy to meet new human friends, but she does not like young children so needs to be in a home with pre-teens, teenagers, or no children. She also does not like anyone invading her personal space around her face. Sadie enjoys walks, car rides, and adventures; she is starting to slow down on walks though. She has seen a vet annually to maintain her vaccinations and health checkups. She does have occasional anal gland issues; I give her Vetnique Glandex Anal Gland Soft Chew Treats (cut up & mixed in her kibble). She also gets itchy; I give her Native Pet Dog Allergy Chews.Sadie is reactive towards other dogs. She lives with cats but does not like them getting close to her.

Story
Ricki — your future little shadow! 🐶💕 Ricki is a 6-year-old, 10-lb sweetheart with a gentle personality and a heart full of love. She absolutely adores being petted and held and has all the makings of the perfect lap dog. If you're looking for a loyal companion to curl up with, Ricki may be your girl! ✨ About Ricki: • Age: 6 years • Weight: 10 lbs • Energy Level: Medium • Temperament: Very friendly, sweet, and affectionate • Favorite Activities: Running around in a fenced yard and soaking up attention • Favorite Treats: Low-calorie treats (not picky!) 🍽 Feeding: 4health Small Breed Formula Chicken — ½ cup at 8am and 4pm 💊 Monthly Prevention: Simparica Trio (given on the 1st of each month) 🐾 Training & Manners: • House trained (scratches at sliding glass door to go out) • Will use puppy pad if left alone • Crate trained • Dog friendly (needs time to warm up to medium/large dogs) • Best with kids over 6 ⚠️ Important Notes: Ricki is a runner and will look for opportunities to slip outside. She may rush through doors, so supervision and caution are very important. She would do best in a home that can gate off exits or crate her when leaving, unless she can't get to the door when you get home. 🏡 Ideal Home: Ricki’s perfect home would have: • A secure fenced-in yard (she will check fence lines) • Adults or older, mature children • A family committed to keeping her safe She sleeps happily in her own bed or cuddled up in yours. She wears a collar for tags and uses a harness for walks and car rides. Once comfortable, she does wonderfully with other dogs. Ricki is a loving little companion just waiting for the right home to keep her safe and spoiled. 💕 Could that be you? Apply at Chirp.me/LDR or https://form.jotform.com/193426050531147 Our adoption process starts with our application. Once the application is approved, a member of Legacy will contact you to set up a home visit. The home visit usually last 1-1.5 hours and is to make sure our dog and any current dogs/cats are getting along, as well as both of us agreeing it's a fit. At this time the adoption fee is due, and begins the 2 week trial. We will check in during the 2 week trial. If it's not working, our dog is returned to the foster home and all except $100.00 {$75 if Senior} of the adoption fee is returned. At the end of the 2 week trial, you decide if you will finalize the adoption - if finalized, the Adoption Contract is signed and all medical records are turned over to you. If at any time you need to rehome the dog it contractually needs to be returned to Legacy Dog Rescue. ADOPTION FEE's: Puppies under 6 months:  $199.00 Adults:  $150.00 Seniors (over 7 yrs):  $99.00 If you are interested in one of our dogs please fill out an application: https://form.jotform.com/193425528783165
