Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.A adoption is currently pending for Carmen! Meet Carmen - a typical Chihuaha in every way.  She came to us after a brief stint as a stray in a local pound.   Anyone familiar with her breed would recognize that her disposition suits it to T.  She’s only 13 lbs, but she acts like she’s large and in charge.  She’s very sweet and is free with her kisses, but she will bark enthusiastically and ferociously at any person or creature within sight or hearing as if they were coming to storm the property. She’s a perfect little lap dog but will also expect to be the queen of her castle! Carmen is housebroken, seems fine with other small dogs, but big ones, not so much.  She would also be find as someone’s one and only, and in fact may prefer it that way so she can have her person all to herself. She loves to cuddle next to you under a blanket (she sleeps in her foster mama’s big bed) and doesn’t need crated when her humans aren’t home. She probably isn’t the best dog for a very young child, and we would love for her to have a fenced yard. Die-hard Chihuahua people will love this gal from the start as she really exemplifies the breed, but anyone looking for a spunky little lap dog will want to make her their own.   We expect quite a few folks to be interested in adopting this little gal, and if you’re one of those folks, you can easily fill out an adoption application by clicking here:  adoption application.   Remember that she won’t be ready to go home until about the second week in April.   For anyone viewing this on Petfinder, if you are interested in adopting this animal you will need to go to our website www.rosesrescue.net to fill out the online adoption application. You can usually find more pictures of the animals there too. Click on our name "Roses Rescue" in blue above to be taken directly to our website.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.     April 28, 2025, 4:26 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.ONE FREE TRAINING SESSION WITH ADOPTIONACTIVE EXPERIENCED ADOPTER NEEDED Beau The Barbarian here, I was surrendered  to the rescue by my family, because I was nipping at the younger children. There were far too many children(6) to pick on me. I've been with my foster mom for a year now and I think we have a few things straightened out, regarding what kind of a home I need. I need an off the grid owner. Do you growl at children? I getcha. Nothing wrong with  that, as long as you stay away from the little monsters. Are you a private person,me too. I'm currently living in a quiet country home with a fenced yard where I can expend some energy chasing the squirrels. We have a routine and infrequent visitors. There are other little dogs here and we get along fine, but I do not like strange dogs and would be best as an only pet. I like to play with  squeaky toys, rope toys and nyla bones, am reliably house and crate trained and love to ride in the car and snuggle with foster mom when our day is done.  I will be 3 years old soon, weigh 19.5 lbs. and have the cutest underbite. I am healthy, low maintenance, caught up on all my vaccinations and heart worm negative. I am VERY REACTIVE to new people and situations(stranger danger) and will bark and show fear aggression. I can be worked through this, if you have experience at socializing reactive dogs. It will be a work in progress to help me. IF YOU HAVE A QUIET HOME, WITH NO CLOSE NEIGHBORS OR CHILDREN, we could be best friends. I would love my very own human being buddy. We could share beers and stories. Please see lots of pictures  and more about me on my Facebook page under Rose's Rescue Facebook. Did I mention I am very smart(and cute!)?  If interested, you can easily fill out an adoption application by clicking here:  adoption application For anyone viewing this on Petfinder, if you are interested in adopting this animal you will need to go to our website  www.rosesrescue.net  to fill out the online adoption application.   Meet Chili! He is approximately 5-6 years old and 17 pounds of cuddle! He is a Chihuahua mix. He is very affectionate and loves to relax on the couch with his foster mom. He likes to burrow under blankets to sleep. He is very cute. He likes to play with his toys and is a champion on his leash. Chili enjoys walks around the neighborhood. He is a very friendly guy. He is fun to have around the house. He is curious but well mannered. He is housebroken and crate trained. Chili is neutered and up to date on all his shots, microchipped and heartworm negative. He is a fine gentleman and a great addition to any family. To adopt him, please complete our non-obligatory application at www.pawsandprayers.org. His adoption fee is $400. Any questions, email info@pawsandprayers.org. All Paws and Prayers animals are up to date on vaccinations (age appropriate) and are given monthly flea/heartworm prevention. Adoption fee also includes spay/neuter and microchipping. Friendly reminder: your current pets need to be on their vet game—routine check-ups, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and on heartworm prevention (dogs). We’ll be checking those records, so giving your vet a heads-up will make everything smoother!
