I was surrendered  to the rescue by my family, because I was nipping at the younger children. There were far too many children(6) to pick on me. I've been with my foster mom for a year now and I think we have a few things straightened out, regarding what kind of a home I need. I'm currently living in a quiet country home with a fenced yard where I can expend some energy chasing the squirrels.. We have a routine and infrequent visitors. There are other little dogs here and we get along fine, but I do not like strange dogs and would be best as an only pet. I like to play with  squeaky toys, rope toys and nyla bones, am reliably house and crate trained and love to ride in the car and snuggle with foster mom when our day is done.  I will be 3 years old soon, weigh 23 lbs. and have the cutest underbite. I am healthy, low maintenance, caught up on all my vaccinations and heart worm negative. I am VERY REACTIVE to new people and situations(stranger danger) and will bark and show fear aggression. I can be worked through this, if you have experience at socializing reactive dogs. It will be a work in progress to help me.  Stanley is a 1 1/2 year old Chihuhua/Yorkshire Terrier or lovingly called a Chorky. The pictures show him shaved down due to exceedingly terrible mats, and a very skinny body.  He weighs about 10 pounds due to a wonderful foster mom feeding him well and giving him the love and care he deserves. He is up to date on all vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $400. Calling all little dog lovers! Meet Cricket. Cricket is a 9 year old female chihuahua with wispy hair with that weighs 10 pounds. Cricket came to the shelter after her owner suffered serious health issues. Cricket has only lived with adults so we are seeking an adult-only household or a home with older teen children. Cricket has lived with other small similar sized dogs with no issues. As always, a meet and greet with resident canines is required to make sure everyone gets along. Cricket is a very friendly chihuahua mix that comes up to you. She is very affectionate and prances on walks. Cricket enjoys quiet time, play time, and car rides. Cricket has a medium energy level and would love to join your pack. Cricket is available for our foster to adopt program which means you can foster her in your home until she finishes vetting which includes spay, vaccines, heartworm testing and microchip. This is GIGI. She turned 2 in July. Gigi is very smart, and well behaved. Her favorite places are the dog park and a human’s lap. She’s afraid of most people until she gets to know them. She is trained to use training pads but prefers to go outside. Gigi is very bonded to her brother Rocco. I would prefer not to separate them if possible. If they can’t be adopted together, I would feel better if she were in a home with another dog. Please see Rocco’s profile. They are both well behaved loyal dogs that need a home with a back yard. They have not been around cats or small children but Gigi does bark at children when we go to the dog park. I am not requiring a rehoming fee. I just want them to go to a loving home.
