Who is looking for the sweetest, cutest dog in all the land?!  There has to be someone looking for Ms. Pixie as her foster family says she's as sweet as pie and would make the perfect addition to someone's family.  Pixie is an 9 month, 8lb chug (chihuahua/pug mix) ready to find her forever home.  Pixie would do best in a home with another doggie playmate.  Pixie loves being around other dogs similiar to her size and she would do best having another 4 legged friend.  Pixie not only loves to snuggle and play with other pups but she loves people as well.  Pixie is the perfect blend of play and calm.   Pixie is crate trained but has not yet mastered potty training so her new forever family will need to demonstrate patience and consistency so she knows to use the potty outside. Pixie seems to ignore cats but we do not recommend small children in her forever home. Her foster family says she is so sweet and bonds very quickly to her person.   Usher is a 6-year-old, 28 lb Chihuahua-Dachshund mix with the perfect balance of energy and chill. Sporting a signature mohawk (because of course he does), he’s got “Superstar” energy—always ready to play hard with his toys but just as happy “Nice & Slow” curled up by your side. This little heart-stealer found himself in rescue after his beloved owner had to enter long-term care. Clearly well-loved and cared for, Usher is looking for that special person to be his “Number One”. He tends to bond deeply with one person and wants to be their loyal shadow. In his foster home, he’s chosen his foster mom as his bestie, but he’s also gentle and friendly with the 10- and 12-year-old kids in the home and gets along well with other small and medium-sized dogs. One thing to note—Usher hates the crate. It makes him extremely anxious, so he’d do best in a home where crating isn’t necessary (and where cozying up under blankets is highly encouraged—“Can U Handle It?”) The good news? He’s not destructive when left alone and is pee pad trained, with only rare accidents outside the pads. With patience and consistency, he could likely transition to outdoor potty training. Usher is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and ready to say “U Got It Bad” - throw the toy he will bring it right back. Story
Hi, my name is Gregory. Gregory Michael. I am an adorable 5 yr old long-haired chihuhua mix. You may want to get in line to love me, but this fella is taken. I have a mate named Lucy who is a 4 yr old poodle mix, and we're seeking a home together. We've been a pair for several years now and want to continue to enjoy life's twists and turns together. Don't worry though - we are fixed so no accidental litters for us!  And we're up to date on our core vaccinations and have microchips - score! Hmmm...what else? We're both small adult dogs (Lucy 16lb, Gregory 8lb) who love to play with other dogs and with each other. And boy do we love to snuggle - both with each other and with people. We are crate trained and mostly housebroken - Lucy has the occasional accident, but she'll get there if you keep working with her. We don't require a fenced in yard, but it sure would be nice. Also, we should probably go to a single family home (ie no apartments or condos).  We don't have kids in our foster home, but our temperament suggests we'd do just fine with them. Our foster mommy believes we are wonderful doggies who will fill our forever home with love and laughter. Story
Harry, Henry and Luna were born 9-28-21. They are pee pad trained and were never outside. They are chihuahua/pug mix. Harry is long hair and the other 2 are short hair. We had to teach them English and deal with their fear of the outside world. It took several months for them to acclimatize to shelter living and getting brave enough to leave the cage. Going outside was a scary event for them. They are still nervous about leashes and we carry them outside. They are walking once out. The boys are doing better than their sister Luna. They are very dependent on each other for comfort. We are looking for a family for them that has enough love and patience to continue their learning the outside is not such a bad place. UPDATE: 9-8-24 the 3 amigos are now walking on leash and walking out the door. They have made good progress in the last month.

Our 3-year-old Chihuahua (4/28/22) has become very aggressive towards our larger Senior Dog. He won't let her eat and bullies her. Though mostly house trained, he's started marking all of her toys and bedding. I'm afraid one of them is going to get hurt. He is otherwise a great dog. Very good with children. Energetic, affectionate. Definitely a few Chihuahua quirks, but wonderful for walks and in public places. No aggression when he sees other dogs on walks.

We got Bowie from a breeder in Erie, PA. He has been a fine dog, but recently is not getting along with our older basset hound. He is not an aggressive dog, loves the kids and likes to play. Always fine around other dogs also. He was fixed, house trained, walks on a leash very well and has had regular vet visits to Banfield Vets.
