Story
Dude is a 6-year-old male Dachshund with a heart of gold. He’s not the type to run up and greet strangers right away — he takes his time warming up to new people. But for those who are patient, the reward is a deeply loyal and affectionate companion. He would do best with a calm, patient adult or couple who understand that shy dogs aren’t broken — they just need time. No young children or other pets, please. If you’ve loved a timid dog before, you already know how special that bond becomes. If you’re interested, I’d love to have a short conversation before we meet, and I’m happy to arrange a slow introduction so he can meet you on his own terms.

Story
Available for Adoption! Meet Natasha!  Natasha’s story is one of strength, love, and resilience. She was found as a stray, pregnant and only about 1–2 weeks away from giving birth. She had a difficult time, but thankfully delivered three healthy puppies and was an absolutely wonderful, devoted mama. Now that her puppies are grown, it’s finally Natasha’s turn to find the loving forever home she deserves. Natasha is truly a kind-hearted girl. She is sweet, loving, gentle, obedient, well-behaved, and such a happy dog. She absolutely loves everyone she meets, makes friends quickly, and is respectful and friendly with other dogs. When Natasha looks up at you with those loving eyes, you can see just how much she wants to be loved and cherished for the rest of her life. She deserves a family who will give her the same unconditional love and devotion that she has given to her puppies and everyone around her. Natasha loves spending time outside, playing with her doggy friends, and soaking up the sunshine when the weather isn’t too hot. She is the perfect size, has an amazing temperament, and would fit beautifully into just about any family setting. A home with a yard would be wonderful for her, and she would enjoy having another furry sibling, but not a requirement. She is crate trained, potty trained with us, needs more leash training, good with children, and good with all dogs. We also believe she should do well with cats with a proper introduction, as she has such a gentle and kind nature. Natasha is ready for her happily-ever-after. After everything she has been through, this sweet mama deserves a family who will show her just how wonderful life can be. If you think Natasha could be your girl, please reach out to learn more about her and give this beautiful, loving dog the forever home she has been waiting for. She has had a vet visit, is spayed, Microchipped, UTD on all vaccinations, had a 4 DX test (testing for Lyme disease and two types of tick-borne illnesses), flea/tick/heartworm prevention (Nexgard Plus), 2 dewormings, and a 1 fecal test. Adopters will receive all original paperwork, a 14-day health guarantee, a collar, harness, leash, seatbelt lock, and a week's worth of food. We operate on a first-come, first-served basis and are by appointment only. We are located in Mesa, AZ., near Gilbert/Brown & offer flexible hours 7 days a week. Story
Lobster is a three-year-old, 17-pound, cream-colored Dachshund mix with an adorable long body and a constantly wagging tail. When he arrived at the Maricopa County shelter, the noisy, stressful environment was simply too much for him. Frightened and defensive, he was placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, Home Fur Good recognized that fear isn't the same as aggression and gave Lobster the second chance he deserved. Since arriving at HFG, Lobster has shown everyone who he really is. While he may be a little timid when meeting new people, his happy personality shines through almost immediately. His tail is nearly always wagging, and he has proven to be an easy-going, good-tempered little guy who just needed a calmer place to feel safe. Lobster is as cute as they come and appears to enjoy the company of other dogs, making him a great candidate for a home with a canine companion. As his confidence continues to grow, he's discovering that the world isn't such a scary place after all. All Lobster needs now is a patient family that will give him the love and reassurance he deserves. In return, you'll gain a loyal little companion whose joyful tail wags are sure to brighten every day. Lobster's adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, vaccinations, microchip, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. To meet Lobster, call Home Fur Good at 602-971-1334 to schedule an appointment. You can also visit Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during walk-in adoption hours. Lobster is ready to trade his difficult past for a lifetime of love.

Story
Meet Kali—a lovable, loyal little lady with a big personality! Kali is the perfect blend of curious and cuddly. She’s an explorer at heart and enjoys checking out her surroundings, but she’s no troublemaker—Kali does great at home even when left alone. True to her dachshund roots, she’s got a strong prey drive and loves chasing birds or the occasional feral cat, so she’ll do best in a home without small pets like cats, guinea pigs, or reptiles. Kali lives for park days and adores playing chase with her doggie pals. She’d thrive in a home with a secure backyard (she is part dachshund, after all—digging is in her DNA!) and would love a furry sibling to hang out with while her humans are away. She gets along well with other dogs her size. Kali isn’t shy about expressing herself—if she thinks she’s missing out on the fun, she’ll let you know with a few vocal opinions. :) When the day winds down, Kali transforms into a total cuddlebug. She’ll gently nuzzle in close, letting you know she’s ready for some cozy snuggles and a little extra love. This sweet girl is ready to bring joy, adventure, and a whole lot of love to her forever family. EMAIL ADOPT@VALLEYDOGS.ORG to meet Kali and see for yourself what a gem she is!

Story
🎵 ""The hills are alive..."" ...but you'll probably find Kurt somewhere a little quieter. While his brothers and sisters are busy turning every day into a full-blown musical number, Kurt is perfectly content to enjoy life from the sidelines. If he were a human child, he'd be the one curled up with a good book, happily entertaining himself until it was time for a cuddle.Don't mistake his quiet nature for shyness. This handsome boy simply has a calm, thoughtful spirit. His beautiful light tan coat makes him stand out from the rest of the Von Trapp pups, and his gentle personality is every bit as special. He loves to play, but he's also the kind of companion who's happiest just being near his favorite person. If your heart is singing for a loyal, peaceful best friend, Kurt may be the perfect addition to your family. 💛
