Molly is a sweet, snuggly 10lb couch potato who is in need of a calm, child free home. We don't really know her age, but we think she's around 9/10 years old.We recently had a baby and unfortunately she cannot settle into our new routines and rhythms and so she has been regressing in terms of her housebroken-ness. She is not aggressive AT ALL towards other animals or to children, but she is very anxious and does not like to be alone. She needs to be an only dog, as other dogs make her nervous. She is fine with cats, but won't attempt to interact with them.She would be ideal for someone who works from home and who enjoys short walks throughout the day. She prefers women, but will warm up to a man with a little extra time.She is leash trained, but she loves to be carried. She likes hiking and running around on the beach, but she's just as happy next to you on the couch.We are sad to rehome her, but after a year of trying to get her used to our child, we think she's be happier elsewhere.

We adopted Hamilton about a year ago, and while he is very lovable, he requires a lot of time and attention that we do not have. He is about 2 years old. He is neutered and chipped. He still has a lot of energy and likes to play and be on top of you. He is not potty trained (we tried but he would still always end up peeing indoors). Someone experienced is probably best for him. We really hate to see him go, but I know he deserves more than what we can give him. We also have an older chihuahua (F) and the two of them did not get along. She is not as friendly as him, but I think he would do well with other dogs if they are friendly. He has never shown any aggression.

Bonded with Pickles, A132858. Must be adopted together.Pickles and Chico, what a pair! Their history has bonded them, so we feel it’s healthier for both to be adopted and kept together.Pickles has lived his life on the streets with his homeless owner since he was very young. Chico came into the picture about a year ago when he was found and cared for by the duo. Their owner has had some issues over the years and Pickles has been a regular visitor to our shelter. He has actually gotten very comfortable here and has formed a strong bond with staff, always feeling safe and loved.Pickles is up for any adventure. He loves a good hike, or a slow day at the park with endless belly rubs. Chico is a bit younger, full of energy and a new human will have to earn his trust (although it only takes a day or so and some yummy treats) he is less trusting than Pickles but comes around quickly and is lovely. Their former owner cared for them and loved them and got them whatever they needed, so they come from a loving situation. Now they need a home. It will take some getting used to for them, as they lived in parks and such, but they are smart and will catch on to a good thing and a comfy couch to cuddle on. Could this street savvy fabulous, pair be what you’re looking for? They say “yes!”---------------------------Pickles and Chico were great on the hike today. According to Garmin, we knocked out 2.7 miles and Chico was still raring’ to go. I think Pickles was done (see pics below). Both were great in the car with Pickles just chillin’, but Chico definitely wanted to be co-pilot and have a clear view of the road at all times! I will say Pickles pulled pretty much the first 2 miles, never like a lunge or a chase, but he’ll definitely need a strong handler or more leash work. They were both non-reactive to other dogs and joggers on the path. They noticed squirrels, birds and lizards, but never went after them. Overall a delightful day hike and they’re so great with each other.

Hercules and Teddy are a dynamic duo! With this bonded pair, you get the best of both worlds! Hercules, a 9 year old chihuahua, is curious and energetic. He loves to run around and will cuddle up with you right away. Teddy, a 9 year old terrier mix, takes a bit more time to warm up and is slightly lower energy. He is shy and loving and very well-behaved, he comes when called and sits on command. Teddy and Hercules love walks and are active but also do well on quiet days comfortably inside, enjoying curling up on the bed or couch. They are house trained, and will signal to you when they`d like to go outside/need to be walked once they`ve settled into a routine. They both have great appetites and eat well, Hercules does not have teeth so wet food is ideal for him. While Hercules and Teddy are truly bonded, Teddy has shown signs of resource guarding so it’s important to ensure they each have separate food and water bowls and eat separately at meal time. Both Teddy and Hercules respond well to redirection and get along well as long as each has their own space specifically around food. After ensuring separation around food and positive reinforcement with treats Teddy`s resource guarding has improved in his foster home. They both do well with cats and have been friendly to other dogs on walks, showing no reactivity. They are wonderful and sweet dogs on their own, and together they are even better.
