A 4-year-old Cocker Spaniel with gorgeous hair, excellent couch manners, and absolutely no interest in sharing my spotlight with anyone furry, feathered, or tiny and sticky-handed. At 31 pounds, I’m basically the perfect-sized best friend. I’m fully vaccinated, neutered, heartworm treated, and officially ready to retire from my “found as a stray” era and move into my “pampered only child” era. Jordan came to us from a high kill shelter in Georgia where he was surrendered by his owners because they could not care for him any longer. Jordan is a fun-loving, playful, and extremely smart pup! He knows his basic commands, plays fetch and walks well on a leash, however he does not like to be picked up. Overall he is such a good dog!

Meet Ruger, a handsome 4 year old boy. We think that he’s a cocker blend with something else, but what? Ruger is a gorgeous chocolate brown with a white chest. He is cocker size, weighing in a 35 lbs. His previous owner said he was a cockapoo, but we don’t see any poodle in him. Ruger is a bit of a shy dog and needs a bit of time to warm up to people. He adores males, following foster dad around. Ruger loves cuddling with foster dad in a recliner. If foster dad isn’t around, Ruger will either lie by you or snuggle in your lap. Ruger is low to moderate energy. Ruger likes playing chase with the female family dog. He was initially apprehensive about walks, but now gleefully dances around when he sees that we’ll put on his harness for a walk around the neighborhood. Ruger loves treats! He will go outside and come right back in just to get a treat. He doesn’t show much interest in dog toys, though. Ruger would be best in a home with teenage or older children, as the activity of young children may be too much for Ruger’s innate shyness. Ruger is largely housetrained. We take him outside at times throughout the day so he can do his business. Sometimes we need to stay outside with him, because he likes to be around people. Walks also help Ruger to do his business. Ruger is 35 lbs, and is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and on heartworm preventative. Biggie 4 years old Neutered male Cocker Spaniel 30 lbs (on a diet) Biggie came to us from a puppy mill and is trying so hard to figure out this “real dog” life. He is a little nervous and a lot awkward but he has so much potential and gets more comfortable each day! He needs a little help, like being carried in and out of the yard and boosted on to the couch, but he’ll catch on! Emma was my in laws dog and they had to move to independent living and can no longer care for her as they’re in their 80s. She is 11. Very sweet and still loves to play with balls, especially if they squeak! She takes Prozac for anxiety (specifically for the groomer) and has eye ointment twice daily for dry eye which is common in Cockers from what I’m told. I already have 2 dogs and kids in sports and I’m unable to have a 3rd right now.she is very hard of hearing as she is almost 12.She does fine with cats. She likes to plays with other dogs and lives fine with them but She shows food and treat aggression if you touch her food or try to take her treats. She also does fine with kids but with not wanting her food touched I’d recommend older kids.
