Story
.DOB 12-28-2024 Fuzzy, happy and sweet. This gorgeous little girl is ready for her home and family. Up to date on shots and all medical. Colette is social, loves to play and gets along with everyone. Colette will be around 25 pounds as an adult, she is spayed, heartworm negative and is on ProHeart6 heartworm preventative. Adoption fee is 750.00, transport fee is 165.00 The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
Hello, my name is: BitsyApprox. DOB: 08/15/2020Weight: 18.7 lbsSex/Breed: Spayed female Miniature Poodle/Cocker SpanielRescued From: Breeding kennelBitsy is still learning about the life of a cherished pet, but from what she has seen so far she’s a big fan! Being inside, loved, and pampered is right up her alley. Bitsy is looking for a quieter home with an adopter willing to work with her on her training. She’d do best with someone home often who can teach her that she’ll never be left behind. Bitsy gets along well with other dogs, doesn’t seem to mind cats, and has done well with kids (though she can be a little skittish). We think having a canine companion in the home could help her. Once she’s comfortable, she wants to be in your lap and will put her little front paws on your leg to request it. Bitsy even gives the sweetest little kisses. She still has a lot to learn, but with time we know she’ll flourish! We just adore this little cutie and can’t wait to watch her grow!Help us continue to step up for dogs like Bitsy and consider donating towards their medical care: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/donate-to-make-a-difference-in-animals-livesAll our dogs are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting? Story
Nutmeg is a 3 year old spayed female cocker spaniel who weighs 22 pounds. She was surrendered to our care after being rescued from horrible conditions. Nutmeg was matted, covered in urine, feces, and needed to be fully shaved on intake. She is a very shy girl who is going to need an understanding home that will give her time, space and show her lots of love. Nutmeg does enjoy following another dog around and for her safety, she must go to a home with a fenced in yard. Nutmeg is very shy, but is fine with being picked up, carried and settles once in your arms. Story
If you are interested in adopting or fostering this dog. Please visit our website - www.cockeradoptions.org   There, you will find the current status of the dog, the links to our adoption and foster applications, and detailed information about our adopting and fostering procedures.   MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Ezekiel, and I just arrived at CSAC from a shelter. I was found stray. The CSAC volunteer said that I was sweet and friendly. I need a special home to take care of me for rest of my senior years. I do have a grade 3 of 4 heart murmur and a minor luxating patella. I need a new home that can take care of medical needs and take me on slow gentle walks. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished pet. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. Click the Donate menu at the top of the screen. My name is Jenny, and I just arrived at CSAC. I was rescued from a puppy mill. I have spent my life in a barn, a shed or a cage. The CSAC volunteer said that I was friendly and very sweet. The best home for me has people who have dog experience who can help with my training and acclimating to the outside world. The people in my new home should be able to teach me the skills I need to be a great pet: walking on a lead, house training, and socializing. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will help me to understand that I am a cherished family pet, not just an animal to be used to make money.
