Story
Meet Sheba – Your Future Adventure Buddy! Sheba is a high-energy, acrobatic sweetheart who’s ready to take on any challenge you throw her way. With her incredible athleticism, she can jump higher than most dogs and loves to run, jump, and show off her moves. Whether it’s bounding through the yard or giving you the best cuddle sessions after a long playtime, Sheba is the perfect blend of adventure and affection. This smart, affectionate girl would thrive in a home with plenty of space to roam. She’s also got the energy and agility to master obstacle courses and tricks, making her a great candidate for training and learning new things. Though she can be independent, Sheba is very much a cuddlebug and loves affection. She’s always up for snuggles and will happily curl up next to you after a good run. She’s highly motivated by praise and positive reinforcement, making training a fun experience for both of you. Sheba is friendly with humans and other dogs, and she’s even good with cats! She’s still working on basic commands but is already mastering “sit” and “stay.” Her high energy means she’s always ready to go on walks and will pull on the leash to meet other dogs. She’s also crate-trained and house-trained, making her a well-behaved companion. Sheba can be a bit anxious when left alone, so any potential adopter should be willing to help her through her separation anxiety. If you’re looking for an active, sweet, and smart dog with tons of potential, Sheba just might be the perfect fit!

Story
Ziva is a lucky dog! She was absconded in a rural area where she lived out in the open field for a few months. Locals put out food but she would never come close enough for them to grab her and get her to safety. Finally someone reached out to our friends at HOPE FOR PAWS and they went out there and were able to trap her. She appeared to have had puppies recently but they were nowhere to be found. Maybe the dumper kept the puppies and dumped her??? We just don’t know. She’s great with other dogs, cats and people of all ages. She does have a “momma bear” side to her and she will bark to alert you to strangers but she quickly calms down. She is affectionate but not needy, attentive and happy. First photo is from where she was abandoned. She’s goofy and loving.

These pups are in West Hollywood, California too!

Story
Turbo is a 2-year-old male Border Collie who was abruptly abandoned when his owner moved out of state.  Despite his rough start, he’s incredibly loving, loyal, and eager to please once he bonds with you. He’s also very smart and picks up routines and commands quickly.Turbo was undersocialized and kept isolated in a backyard which caused reactivity toward other dogs. He must be the only dog in the home and needs experienced owners who can continue helping him with this behavior. He thrives in an active, structured home that can give him plenty of training, exercise, and mental stimulation. ##2605145##

Story
Meet Trixie! A delightful three-and-a-half-year-old Border Collie mix currently living in San Jose, California. With her radiant and friendly disposition, Trixie is a bundle of joy who thrives on human interaction and loves the company of both people and fellow canines! This spirited pooch enjoys nothing more than engaging in playful antics, whether it's a lively game of fetch with her favorite chew toys and balls or a spirited round of tug of war. Trixie's exuberance is matched only by her affectionate nature; she's a cuddle enthusiast who adores snuggling up with her loved ones! An athletic and robust companion, Trixie is always up for outdoor adventures, relishing her daily walks and exploring the great outdoors. While she may sometimes exhibit a bit of leash-pulling excitement, her friendly demeanor shines through, making her a hit with both fellow dogs and strangers alike. Trixie would do best with a fenced-in yard. Trixie shares her home with a small canine friend, with whom she gets along famously. Although she tolerates the feline resident, a household without cats may be more suitable for her. Additionally, Trixie's herding instincts may lead her to corral active children, so she'd thrive best in a household with older kids or without children. This intelligent pup is a quick learner and eager to please, making her a joy to train! Fully house-trained and accustomed to using a doggie door, Trixie is ready to adapt to her new environment with ease. She's spayed and up-to-date on all her immunizations, ensuring she's primed for her next chapter in life! If you're ready to welcome Trixie into your heart and home, don't hesitate to reach out to us at adopt@joyfulpets.com for more information! While Trixie currently resides with her loving family in San Jose, California, they're open to the possibility of a long-distance adoption, extending her reach to potential forever homes beyond their region. Simply submit your application through the provided link, and we'll gladly facilitate the introduction process. Trixie is eagerly awaiting the chance to become your faithful companion and cherished family member! https://forms.gle/jcU4Nx679Kpw4uTC7

Story
Meet Opal! A spirited five-and-a-half-year-old Australian Cattle Dog currently living in Milwaukie, OR (a suburb of Portland, Oregon) whose essence is a delightful mix of sass, smarts, and snuggliness wrapped in a striking merle coat. Opal is the kind of girl who throws herself wholeheartedly into everything she loves, whether it’s chasing a squeaky toy across the living room, gently play-biting your hand in the most hilarious display of affection, or performing her signature “fishtail spin” during a round of zoomies that’ll leave you laughing every time! Though she has hip dysplasia, which means long hikes and intense activity are off the table, she still adores walks and bursts of play, especially if there's a tennis ball involved. Watch out, she will chew it to bits with great satisfaction! Like many clever herding breeds, Opal has a strong personality and a clear communication style. She’s a girl who knows what she likes and what she doesn’t. She feels safest when her world is calm and predictable, and she connects most deeply with one trusted person. Her current caregivers, along with a professional canine behavior specialist, have helped her build confidence through structure, routine, and lots of gentle encouragement. Opal has also shown some defensive behaviors in the home, particularly with unfamiliar visitors. She has given a few quick nips when people move through her space or try to interact with her before she feels ready. While she has been calm and well-mannered in public settings, a busy household or one with frequent guests can be challenging for her. A quieter environment where introductions can be managed thoughtfully will set her up for success. Opal is looking for a low-traffic home without children or other pets, where she can relax and be her funny, loyal self. A quiet lifestyle suits her best. She is not a fan of sudden changes or lots of visitors, but give her a cozy space, a caring human, and a predictable routine, and she’ll reward you with her whole heart. This medium-sized gal (about 40 pounds of pure personality) is smart as a whip! She’s had obedience training, knows her commands (sit, stay, come, shake, down), and listens especially well when her environment is calm and consistent. Plus, she comes with a lifetime training plan from Bark Busters, which her caregivers will transfer to you for a fee of about $300 to Bark Busters. It’s a wonderful resource to help support her continued success. She’s crate trained, house-trained, microchipped, and vaccinated. She even enjoys relaxing to music when you’re away and will snooze peacefully until you're back. She’s been described as deeply loyal, silly in all the best ways, and totally tuned in to the person she trusts. Opal isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay. But for someone looking for a one-of-a-kind companion, she could be the dog of your dreams! Ready to welcome this bright, bold girl into your life and share in her next round of zoomies? Contact adopt@joyfulpets.com to meet Opal and see if you’re her perfect match! Content Notice: This pet is represented by Joyful Pets.
