Story
Ziva is a lucky dog! She was absconded in a rural area where she lived out in the open field for a few months. Locals put out food but she would never come close enough for them to grab her and get her to safety. Finally someone reached out to our friends at HOPE FOR PAWS and they went out there and were able to trap her. She appeared to have had puppies recently but they were nowhere to be found. Maybe the dumper kept the puppies and dumped her??? We just don’t know. She’s great with other dogs, cats and people of all ages. She does have a “momma bear” side to her and she will bark to alert you to strangers but she quickly calms down. She is affectionate but not needy, attentive and happy. Last photo is from where she was abandoned. She’s goofy and loving. Total Romantic.

Story
What can we say about Wally? Well, despite his face, he is 100% not a corgi. We dunno what he is but it’s not that. He’s actually a bigger boy than he looks at first. He’s very sweet, seems to be a medium energy level (but he mighta been lying) and a terrific hugger. He does this adorable tail vibration thing when he gets activated by something that is super unique. He’s a little serious in the shelter, but we can tell his inner goofball is in there somewhere, just waiting for an outlet. He’s really curious, and a big fan of getting brushed actually- we did that for a good while. He’s gonna need humans who can handle his size, help him find his confidence, and take him on adventures so his curiosity can be satisfied. He also appreciates being told how pretty he is and what great ears he has- so that will be a daily (or hourly) requirement for his forever humans. If you think you have the stamina to keep up with that task- head into #burbankanimalshelter and interview with Wally- see if he hires you to be his best friend. Come visit the Burbank Animal Shelter to foster or adopt Wally!

Story
Swiper is a 7-year-old cattle dog mix with a gentle spirit and a talent for finding the best shady spots in town. Recently found as a stray, he hasn't let his past dim his sunny outlook one bit. Easygoing and affectionate, Swiper is the kind of dog who prefers quality time over excitement. He was calm around children, politely observed other dogs from a distance, and charmed his foster chaperones with his patient, sweet nature. While toys didn't catch his attention, treats, pets, and gentle cuddles certainly did. If you're looking for a loyal companion who appreciates life's simple pleasures, Swiper is ready to settle in by your side!

Story
Meet Pasadena Humane’s gentle guy, Koda! This sweet 8-year-old cattle dog is looking for a calm home where he can settle in and enjoy the simple things in life — easy walks, soft company, and plenty of sniff breaks. While shelter life has been a little overwhelming for him, Koda truly shines once he’s outside enjoying fresh air and quiet walks. He can be sensitive to loud noises and new environments, but he leans into his people for comfort and has such a kind, gentle nature. He enjoys treats, enrichment, and being close to his people. Koda would thrive in a home where he can relax, decompress, and get the comfort and care he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal walking buddy with a sweet side, come meet Koda and give this deserving senior his next chapter.
