Story
What can we say about Wally? Well, despite his face, he is 100% not a corgi. We dunno what he is but it’s not that. He’s actually a bigger boy than he looks at first. He’s very sweet, seems to be a medium energy level (but he mighta been lying) and a terrific hugger. He does this adorable tail vibration thing when he gets activated by something that is super unique. He’s a little serious in the shelter, but we can tell his inner goofball is in there somewhere, just waiting for an outlet. He’s really curious, and a big fan of getting brushed actually- we did that for a good while. He’s gonna need humans who can handle his size, help him find his confidence, and take him on adventures so his curiosity can be satisfied. He also appreciates being told how pretty he is and what great ears he has- so that will be a daily (or hourly) requirement for his forever humans. If you think you have the stamina to keep up with that task- head into #burbankanimalshelter and interview with Wally- see if he hires you to be his best friend. Come visit the Burbank Animal Shelter to foster or adopt Wally!

🐾❤️ Help Me Find Daisy Her Forever Home ❤️🐾 This is not an easy decision for me, but I’m looking for a loving and permanent home for my sweet girl, Daisy. I love her and want to make sure she goes to someone who will love and care for her just as much. Daisy is a 1-year-old Collie/Greyhound mix, born April 30, 2025, and weighs about 25 pounds. She has a sweet, playful personality and is great with kids and other dogs. She currently lives with my Pocket Pit Bull and Maltipoo and gets along well with both. Daisy is house-trained and goes to the bathroom outside. She is also crate-trained and sleeps in her crate at night. She loves playing fetch, but she’s also good at entertaining herself when everyone is busy. She currently eats Royal Canin dog food. She really is a sweet girl, and I want her next home to be her forever home. I’m not looking to give her to just anyone. I want a responsible person or family who will keep her safe, give her attention, play with her, and make her fam.

Big dog, big heart, big personality — that’s Roman! This 3-year-old King Shepherd is happiest when he’s sniffing while out on an adventure, splashing in the pool, or romping around with his favorite toys. And after a day of fun? He’s more than happy to rest his big head in your lap and soak up some love. Roman can be a little guarded at first, but once you earn his trust, his sweet, silly, and affectionate side shines through. Roman's perfect adopter is who’s ready for long walks, lots of cuddles, and one very lovable goofball – could that be you? Adopt Roman today!

Story
Ziva is a lucky dog! She was absconded in a rural area where she lived out in the open field for a few months. Locals put out food but she would never come close enough for them to grab her and get her to safety. Finally someone reached out to our friends at HOPE FOR PAWS and they went out there and were able to trap her. She appeared to have had puppies recently but they were nowhere to be found. Maybe the dumper kept the puppies and dumped her??? We just don’t know. She’s great with other dogs, cats and people of all ages. She does have a “momma bear” side to her and she will bark to alert you to strangers but she quickly calms down. She is affectionate but not needy, attentive and happy. Last photo is from where she was abandoned. She’s goofy and loving. Total Romantic.

Story
🐾 Meet Bobby! 🐾 Bobby is a handsome 5-year-old Collie/Shepherd/Terrier mix who found himself needing a new home after his owner became ill and could no longer care for him. Now this sweet gentleman is ready for his next chapter. ❤️ Bobby is friendly, confident, calm, and well-mannered. He walks nicely on leash, has some training, and is comfortable around other dogs while out on walks. He even did a wonderful job walking alongside a younger, less-confident dog, showing off his calm and steady nature. Bobby could be happy as your one-and-only companion or may do well with another dog who shares his relaxed personality. He’s also a great candidate for a first-time dog owner! 🐕 Calm & confident 🦮 Walks well on leash 🎓 Has some training 🐾 Good choice for first-time dog owners 🐶 May do well with a similarly calm dog 💕 Friendly & well-mannered 🐱 Not yet cat tested Bobby has already known what it means to have a home and someone who loves him. Now he’s hoping to find a family to love again. 🏡❤️

Story
“Penny”I’m cute right?! I’m also affectionate and really smart. I would make a great companion for anyone who has the time to spend with me. I know some basic commands, and I’d be happy to show you in exchange for a yummy treat. I originally came in with Sheldon across the way, but we’ve since separated and decided its best for both of us. Not sure if it was our new living situation being too cramped or we just outgrew each other, but we simply fought too much. I keep tabs on him and let him know I still care from across the kennel, but I want what’s best for him and hope he finds a good home.Back to me being cute! The staff and volunteers think I may be house trained because I do my business outside. I may still need some training once adopted, but my breed catches on quick. My breed also gets bored easily and I am happier when I’m doing something and working my brain and body. I can relax but prefer an active lifestyle. I can climb a 7 foot chain linked fence in under a minute, so I need a secure yard and supervision when I go into a new home. The staff recorded me escaping (well trying) the back play yard. Other than this, I’m pretty close to perfect.

Story
Ozzie and Harriet look identical but we promise in real life it’s easier to tell them apart. Obviously they are siblings, and we’re looking to place them as a bonded pair. As typical with siblings in some ways they are super similar and in other ways they’re exact opposites. Ozzie is bigger and spottier and in the kennel he’s very protective, but in the yard all he wants is attention and affection. Harriet is more petite and perkier of ear, in the kennels she’s very avoidant and shy, but in the yard she is ready to play all day. Both are a bit leash reactive and pull- so that will need some consistent training with their family. They’re both absolutely gorgeous and silly and fun and crazy smart. Ozzie has a sweet soul and will protect his loved ones. Harriet is a bit of a wild child and will chase a ball thrown by anyone willing. Adopting both of them will mean a tornado of energy has entered your life- but they also very much occupy each other. With dedication and training and being patient enough to learn where they merge or diverge from each other- they are destined to bring endless joy and adventure into an adult family (very small children are likely not a great match for these energetic pups). If you think you have what it takes to keep up and keep laughing- head into #burbankanimalshelter and meet them for yourself.
