Hello – my name is Parker. I am a healthy, one year old Collie/Shepherd mix. I was rescued from the cold dog park (hence my name) in October 2022 and have been enjoying the good life. I am chipped, I have my own comfortable crate, feeding station and plenty of toys and puzzles. I am full of life and just love to have fun and be silly. My signature move is running as fast as I can from one end of the backyard to the other, rolling around in the dirt on my back- and waiting to hear “good boy Parker”.  I have lots of energy and I would love to be in a home with a leader who will give me lots of exercise and structure.  I am housebroken and I  know how to use the “doggie doors'.  My foster has discovered that I would do best being the 'only' dog in the household.  I have learned several commands and I also walk great on a leash unless I stop to sniff something.  I love to learn because I’m smart and I want to please – I just need a  confident person to show me the way.   Please contact : Rhonda Baldwin 562-708-4944 or (baldwinlocks@gmail.com       These dogs are looking for homes through private parties in the Los Angeles CA area. Ziva is a lucky dog! She was absconded in a rural area where she lived out in the open field for a few months. Locals put out food but she would never come close enough for them to grab her and get her to safety. Finally someone reached out to our friends at HOPE FOR PAWS and they went out there and were able to trap her. She appeared to have had puppies recently but they were nowhere to be found. Maybe the dumper kept the puppies and dumped her??? We just don’t know. She’s great with other dogs, cats and people of all ages. She does have a “momma bear” side to her and she will bark to alert you to strangers but she quickly calms down. She is affectionate but not needy, attentive and happy. First photo is from where she was abandoned. She’s goofy and loving.

This handsome boy was an owner surrender. When they could no longer care for him they gave him up. He was in a home with two kids. Chance LOVES other dogs and is great with people he knows. He is not good with strangers and cannot go to a home that has people coming in and out.    He loves to go for walks, play with squeaky toys, other dogs, and jump in his baby pool for a dip on hot days… Or even cold days.     He can become protective over his home so again we are looking for a 1 to 2 person household who doesn’t mind putting the dog away when guests come over or the pool/lawn man. Hi there! Please meet Opal, a 2 year old Kelpie/Staffy mix. She might even have some black panther in her😂. Opal is a sweet girl, who gets along with dogs and kids of all ages and sizes. Right now, she is living with a Great Dane puppy, a teeny 3.5 pound Chihuahua, and an 8 year old boy. All of whom she loves to cuddle and do zoomies for. When Opal is not enjoying the great outdoors, she is quietly entertaining herself while her foster mom works. Opal was picked up by animal control as a stray. While at the shelter, she was constantly overlooked. Her beautiful eyes weren’t enough to get people to look past her color. With that said, she was past by day by day until the shelter said she had no more days left. Before she was euthanized, we were able to pull her and place her in a wonderful foster home where she is blossoming.

Hi! Please meet Lola, our petite 8 month Kelpie/German Shepherd mix! She is up to date on all medical, including spay, and completely healthy. I love cats, dogs (big and small) and kids. While in the shelter, Lola missed out on some of her prime puppy months, so she is making up for them now with lots of zoomies and a big smile on her face. She plays hard and then falls asleep snoring even harder. Even on the shelter, Lola continued to make friends with everyone she met. Her best friends were Melody and Ariel, when they got adopted Lola was left alone on the euthanasia list. Luckily, with a foster offer, we were able to pull Lola and give her a fair chance to find her forever family! Could that be you?
